@Lets Read Can you please bring back your removed 12 episode series of the FNAF creepypasta? I really miss that story, and it's nowhere else on UA-cam.
I spend a lot of time in the Adirondacks. I’ve had my fair share of sketchy experiences. Excellent stories, once again! Maybe I should write you about a couple of my adk experiences.
I used to live in the Adirondacks when I was a teenager. We went camping every weekend. I swore that when I was an adult I would never camp again and I don’t. Let’s leave it at that. Can’t wait to hear these stories!!!
@MelanieKai Gregory why because someone who was their friend hired ppl to potentially murder them? It would be different if they signed up for it, but they were doing it against their will.
My partner can't sleep with any sounds... Me on the other hand always have to have something lightly playing. He's now so conditioned to LR that he falls asleep instantly when I turn these on. Thank you oh savior of my sleep💕
Yeah, anyone saying friend that is not someone you know to be a friend is not a friend. It is aggressive in nature, which is so weird considering the actual meaning of the word.
This is great. I live in the Adirondacks. They’re beautiful. But the park itself is HUGE. People talk about weird stuff all the time. Missing people. Weird animals. All sorts of things. Looking forward to this!
It is definitely can be a wonderful area to visit! There are so many lovely places here. People can be really friendly sometimes, and sometimes not. It depends on where you go. The Adirondacks are pretty huge. 😅
Ohhh the Adirondacks! That’s where I’m from. There’s lots of spooky things in the woods there. Thanks for the spooky stories from my area! Also, Old Forge is beautiful.
Wow. I never knew the Adirondacks were so sketchy. That's a lot of serious, violent interactions with two legged predators in the woods. Not just your typical, "I saw samsquanch and God scared! 😭" Stories.
Listen my friend, they are not sketchy!! I lived in the southern part for 15 years roughly. I camped, hiked, canoed multi day trips and only had 1 encounter.. ok 2 completely different occurrences that were a bit concerning. Any place u go things can happen. Cities or woods $hit happens. It's being smart and controlling what u can control.. and using common sense which is in short supply these days. Fear cannot dictate life!! If it does then is life really worth living ?? Good choices yes minimize risk.. Carpe diem
@chrisw5742 Maybe they aren’t real, but you can’t ever really say for certain they are fake. Stuff like these stories could happen in real life, maybe not completely the same way, but still.
Thank you for another awesome video Joel. My nearly 11 month old son is teething harder than he ever has and is absolutely besides himself. We needed your relaxing voice tonight ❤️ momma especially.
I listen while I'm working. It keeps me focused on what I'm doing and makes the time pass quickly with the intrigue of the stories. It works so well that I actually got a sizeable raise! So thanks Joel keep up the great work!
Good ol Adirondacks. I have a slew of stories I could tell growing up around this area. When you're out in the wilderness you never know what, or who you'll see.
Story #4 - "Josh" sounds like a complete asshole who doesn't deserve to have friends. Martin even regarded him highly enough that he asked him to be his best man at his wedding. Then Josh pulls some seriously screwed up 💩 and his excuse is "I hate those guys. I wanted them to suffer." Why hang around them then? Why accept Martin's request to be his best man? Josh doesn't deserve to have good friends and thanks to his appalling actions, he doesn't have them any longer. His loss, not theirs. Great stories Joel, as always! 💯🔥👍
Man I was just in ADK yesterday. If anyone's up there or planning on going up there, The Blue Line coffee house has great coffee. Definitely recommend. I love car camping up there.
I’ve been in the northern Adirondacks for the past 12 years and owned a house in Wilmington, the town that Whiteface ski resort is in, for the past 2 years. Great stories but it drives me crazy most of these stories don’t mentioned towns, just “the Adirondacks.” It would just be cool to know.
I binge Let’s Read, Be Busta, Mr. nightmare, and similar channels. Enjoy and appreciate these stories, yes. Realize, however, that most could be prevented with enthusiastic use of 2A.
The guy from the first story sounds like a time traveler. I wonder what he was trying to warn the artist and her husband about and what's happened to them since.
DuDe....I really love your narrations in general but these stories were particularly ominous and ...well, thanks fer being an excellent storyteller 😲😎👏✊😬😱
I used to ride my motorcycle all through the Adirondacks and know many of these areas; it's kinda freaking me out! (I used to live in Vermont) Lake George is a cute little town for sure! They have Americade, a low-key motorcycle week. It's lots of fun.
I was actually at Lake George for my 13th birthday! I went to Dr. Morbid's Haunted House, and being as sensitive as I am, I think I got a bit traumatized. Sudden loud noises are the bane of my existence, and I think my anxiety went through the roof at the part when that happened.
loud noises startle me too! i don't think people understand how traumatic it can be for people who get startled easily. i feel stunned and it can take me a little while to calm down.

The leather coat guy I think he was trying to scare them off so they’d sell the property off cheap as either the land was worth more to develop or he wanted to use it for drug drops or similar

Good stories. I would never go camping or stay in a remote cabin as there are just too many creepy weirdos out there. Much better to stay in a nice upscale lodge.
I feel so sorry for the people these stories are about! They all seem to live under a constant cloud of fear, such that a knock on your own door is a scary event. I can’t imagine the stress and anxiety that would cause! Every sound is reason for concern, every footstep a worry, it’s beyond me how you cope with it!
I have huge fear of wooded areas at night. But man do i love falling asleep to these stories only just learned of adirondacks im usually in Appalachian stories
I was born, raised and still live in the foothills of the Adirondacks (reluctantly). It is a place of immense beauty, but boy can it be downright creepy at times, and especially at night. HOWEVER, there are some really lovely areas to go to and things to see. I highkey recommend Lake George (the village part), especially in the summer. Lake George has beautiful sites, several beaches, some cool attractions, and overall is a lovely little town. They used to have fireworks going off every Thursday over the summer. Also I highkey recommend Saratoga as well. It can be a little pricey due to the race track, but also is a great place to visit due it having a lot to see and do. Also the parks are absolutely stunning!
I checked Lake George out on Google maps and it looks so beautiful. I’m from Sweden so I’ll probably never get a chance to visit, but I wish I could. It seems like a lovely place.
This is exactly what I did after a sketchy encounter in Hoosier national forest several years ago. It's a last option to use, but an option nonetheless.
Honestly I’m still hung up on story 5, the one with Carla. I really wish we knew for sure what their intentions were with the poor guy. If they simply wanted to rob him she could’ve spiked his drink and left him there. It’s a good thing he was able to escape, I’m thinking they wanted to hurt him. Using someone’s heart against them… just horrible.
People live off the grid in many unincorporated communities in the ADK. There's actually a small unincorporated town called Swastika... Just goes to show you what kind of people you're dealing with up there.
After very minimal research I’ve realized what is being referred to as unincorporated towns is literally just actual towns and hamlets. That is common all over the place. I live in one myself. It doesn’t mean off grid or some kind of unusual lifestyle. And Swastika NY is one of these towns that was founded in the 1800’s being named after the symbol meaning good will. It has nothing to do with racism or anything related to Hitler ruining the symbol in the 1940’s.
Lake George is such a beautiful town. I suggest people go there and take a paddleboat ride on Lake George in the fall and see the fall leaves. It is my favorite thing to do
