  • The seventh and last session of this training course goes over the ten common faults that we get support questions about with the MOVIDRIVE® and motor driven applications. These faults are F01, F03, F08, F14, F28, F31, F42, F44, F93, and F95. We will mention common causes for these and what diagnostic measures can be used to help find the root cause of the fault. In this session, we also review the settings of the Scope tool that will be essential to use when diagnosing faults. We conclude this session by discussing the settings for the Scope DataLogger tool, which can automatically upload the Scope recordings to the computer when you are not near the application.
During this troubleshooting session, several previous videos from this training series are mentioned to review for further instruction and demonstration. Here are links to those videos.

hi. thanks for your video. i need to solution for f09 error cod ("wrong operating mode selecting"

Hello. Error code F09 relates to the motor startup procedure. You can watch this video here on how to do a motor startup.
      ua-cam.com/video/xfv-2NtQMNY/v-deo.htmlfeature=shared&t=225
Depending on the model type of the motor you have installed the Movidrive parameters have to be correct for that type of motor. The operating mode is parameter P700 but you should not change it directly. It needs to be done through the startup procedure shown in the video linked above. Once you input the values in the startup and click "download". Those parameters will be corrected in the background to match with the motor that is installed. It's helpful to get a picture of the motor's nameplate to aid you during the motor startup procedure.

hi mr , i have problem with F14 code 27 , can you share me the way to trouble it!

    • @SEWEurodriveUSA

Hello. Fault F14 is related to errors with the motor encoder. Specifically, with suberror 27 this is indicating a loose connection at the Movidrive or at the motor. It could also be a defective motor encoder.
Is the fault sporadic or constant?
If the fault is sporadic then it usually indicates a wiring issue with the encoder cable between the Movidrive and the motor encoder. This could be a loose wire, incorrect cable shield connection to earth ground at the Movidrive and motor, or a broken/cut wire. If the fault is constant and there are no obvious issues with the encoder cable connections. Then it could be defective hardware where you would need to replace the motor encoder or the complete gearmotor if is a permanent magnet servo motor for example.
At 21:02 in this video are some tips for checking the cause of the error F14.

Hello . We have a broken power module MDX60A0750-503-4-00 SACH NR 8226644
    NR 0235016
    F 0..180HZ on a MDV60A0750-503-4-00 control unit.
We put a new power module MDX60A0750-503-4-00
    P# 08226644
    S# 31.6181737301.0002.24
    F 0...599HZ
When we power the power module, before starting the motor, we get an instant F01 overcurrent .
Is there anything we can do?
    Thankyou.

Hello. If the F01 fault started after you installed the new power module then the probable cause is that the MDV60A control unit can't operate on a newer power module firmware than it is capable. This would need to be resolved by downgrading the EEPROM data of the newer power module to make it compatible with the older MDV60A control unit. This can only be performed with special software by an SEW-Eurodrive Service Technician on-site or by shipping the complete MOVIDRIVE to your nearest SEW-Eurodrive Service Center for repair.
You can find your nearest service center at this link:
      www.sew-eurodrive.de/meta-pages/contacts_worldwide.html
If the F01 fault has been the primary fault that caused you to start replacing parts then there is possibly an issue with the motor power cable or the motor itself. The F01 fault usually indicates that there is a short circuit phase-to-phase or phase-to-ground somewhere between the MOVIDRIVE and the AC motor. Or if the motor being used is several sizes larger horsepower/kilowatt rating than the MOVIDRIVE it is connected to.
We discuss common things to check with the F01 overcurrent fault at 10:50 in this video.

      @@SEWEurodriveUSA Thankyou for your reply.
We tried without motor cables connected to the drive and got instant F01 when we power on with 400V.
We tried with another MD 60A control unit, the same.
The old problem was not F01 .
Only when we power on with 400V we get instant F01.
Finally we put an old power module and it is working.
So there is a chance that the new power module it is not damaged.Only a firmware problem.

Hola podrian enviara el link del manual completo para poder usar, quiero resetear a fabrica y no puedo

Hello. Here is the link to the Movidrive B System Manual in English below. You can do a factory reset using parameter P802 and set it to "Delivery State". Just know that it will delete everything. So you would need to back up any IPOS programs or parameters first before doing the delivery state. There is no final warning when you change P802 to "Delivery State".
