Troy Baker NV was shit before it release i was so hyped over it but it was just shocking.I mean even the map in NV was smaller than 3 and not to mention the story was shocking and only took 3hours to complete. I think NV should have just been a DLC for 3 then it would have been at least decent, the only way to make NV decent is to get as many MOds as possible so at least there is a story.
I thought Fallout New Vegas improved Fallout 3 in almost every way, the story, moral choices that are not so black and white, the gunplay, the area, the choice of 4 main factions to side with in the story and the ending is not so preset like in fallout 3, you get a closure on pretty much most of the quests you finished and how you finished them. Also the writing was fuckin hilarious, especially in the Old World Blues DLC.
***** One problem I had with fallout was that there were too many fuckin invincibles, don't get me started on skyrim. The only invincibles in F:NV are your companions (which can be turned off with hardcore mode) and Yes Man.
Well I thought NV was great, but I liked the Fo3 environment more, to me, the waste felt dead, with NV there are too many traces of life for my taste. Also, NV tried, but I don't think it's ending could quite match up with Fo3 assault on project purity. Did love old world blues, hated dead money.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R is far superior to any game in terms of atmosphere and is far more immersive. Anyone who has actually played it is more than likely going to agree with me. If you haven't played it, do yourself a favour and check it out, it is fan-fucking-tastic
i think i stood for an hour in the game just to listen the guys singing and playing guitar. The sound and atmosphere was really awesome.. but i really loved the rest of the games on this list to! but in terms of atmosphere i agree with you
Martin R It's a great game and has been made absolutely mindblowingly awesome by the modding community. First and foremost: Lost alpha. Waited for years for it and it was well worth the wait
I'm not a racist ! But I admit I loved Metro because of the story ,the adventure, the thrill, the horror it had. It was a really good experience and it was worth the time. Also the Environmental Graphics were beautiful and physics was perfect ! That's why I love the game
They don't even mention that the Metro games are based on Dimitry Glukovsys novels "Metro 2033" and "Metro 2034". These are beautiful novels, I would give this to anyone who wants a really deep Story with action but also a lot of philosophy
already read 2033, played both games, wrote a book report on it, and looking forward to reading 2034.. im addicted to the metro series xD in fact the only reason im here is to find more games like metro
Definitely. Last Light was great but was half-way between a sequel and an expansion. 2033 felt like a full game. Also scared the shit out of me a lot more.
gotta love all the idiots saying tlou should be number one, without having even played fallout... fallout 3 is one of the best games ever, not just in the post apocalyptic genre. seriously, do yourself a favor and buy the game, you don't know what you're missing. i can guarantee 95+% of the people who have actually played the game will tell you the same, it's a masterpiece and you'll feel stupid for bashing one of the best games of all time. also, several games should be above tlou, such as: stalker (debatable, i get it if you prefer tlou), the walking dead (debatable, because it's very narrative focused, not that tlou isn't, but twd is basically an interactive story), fallout new vegas (even though fallout 3 is better), and metro last light AND metro 2033 (not debatable) might have missed some.
Der Herp Yeah Fallout 3 is the best game too me, and Fallout Tactics comes in second....i mean i have played Tactics all night two nights in a row before its that fun.
Dylan Andrews Tactis was shit. It was basically COD their was no role-playing aspects all it was was shooting. FO3 also sucks because "Big Brother Bethesda" ruined it.
Fallout 4 was weaker than F3 or New Vegas in my opinion. 4 took some time to get into. I wasn't fond of it my first 5 or so hours in. Then after that, I beat it 5 times
As much as I love The Last of Us (it really is my favorite game), I agree with this list, Fallout 3 has a better post apocalyptic environment to explore for many hours. While I think The Last of Us is a better game, Fallout 3 wins in the post apocalyptic category.
Last of Us was... aight. I still like The Half Life series far better. It surly isn't the best game out there, just far too much hype, I did like it though.
while watching this: 10: no Fo3 9: no Fo3 8: no Fo3 7: no Fo3 6: no Fo3 5: no Fo3 4: no Fo3 -Starting to get worried 3: no Fo3 -Oh no 2: no Fo3 -Plz Honorable Mentions: no Fo3 -PokerFace 1: FALLOUT 3!!!!
I don't understand people. I watched this video, and being a big fan of this genre i KNEW that fallout 3 would be first and i was so excited, so i watched the video, saw it was first, scrolled down to see other peoples reaction and was astonished. I couldn't believe the hate on fallout 3. That is hands down, by far the best post apocalyptic game, i have well over 175+ hours in that game, most likely more with the expansions. Have any of you that say its bad even got out of the vault??? it has such a unique story, with so many side missions, and companions and things to do. Its world is awesome, and how they haven't successfully gotten an online version out is beyond my belief. I'm thinking most people didn't like it because of no sort of mount but it was such a great game, and yeah Vegas screwed up with not being able to continue it after beating it but was right behind fo3 cause that was great too. Idk maybe im old fashioned and like taking my time in a game, enjoying the stories of quests, making my own decisions in the game, and gazing at the beautiful scenery and even gore from the cool VATS system. But i guess that's just me
It is not that people hate Fallout 3, it is that people for some reason think The Last Of Us is the greatest thing to grace gaming and think it should be number 1 on anything. Fallout 3 is pretty much the definition of a post-apocalyptic game. The way you emerge from the vault and the sun blinds you. The way the world looks after a nuke hits the capital. That is something The Last Of Us cannot come close to. The Last Of Us only had a story going for it while Fallout had everything going for it which is why it is number 1.
***** I played both games when they first launched and NV was a buggy mess. After they patched it NV was the better game but I grade games based on what they were at launch.
10. Brink 9. Call of Cthulhu 8. Rage 7. The elder scrolls online 6. Fallout new vegas 5. Oblivion 4. Dishonoured 3. Fallout 3 2. Skyrim 1. Morrowind. The first and second are interchangeable. I felt morrowind was better.
Easy to do since they knew what people liked about F3 and already had a base to work off of. But even then I disagree simply because while I do think FNV was better in many ways it never felt post-apocalyptic like F3 did. It was definitely a destroyed world game but F3 had that feel from start to finish all 5 times I played it. FNV never could do that as much because the desert was already relatively empty. Though, mods entirely fixed that, a couple of radstorms and a whole bunch of more destroyed shit and mutated beasts really helps the authenticity.
+skywalkerscout What's wrong with a colorful wasteland? I knew F3 tried to show how a world would actually look after a nuclear war, but did the buildings in the game have almost the exact same color? F3 may have a darker wasteland and a better story, NV improved in almost every way.
New Vegas pales in comparison to Fallout 3. I don't get why people think New Vegas is better. a largely un-nuked Mojave desert. a third of the amount of content. Game breaking bugs. a recycled plot. Dumb factions. a poor central hub. The only things better in NV than in 3 were the Jury Rigging perk, the survival mode(though it was bad)and the option to choose which faction wins. Everything else was bad.
Jordan Brown yeah after two years and after like 100 more games were released since this video was uploaded, I'm sure it's the perfect time to make a redux of this video with entries such as Mad Max 2015 and Organ Trail Remake
Super_Size_Me I'm agree if we talk about the first Half Life, but HL2 is totally post apocalyptic. The goverments and armies of the entire Earth are defeated by the Combine in just 7 hours, and most of the human population is either dead or became in mutants. The few that survived now live in terror, forced to work for the Combine Empire and to live under the Supression Field, which prevents human procreation as part of the Combine plan for total genocide of the human race. How is that not post apocalyptic?
GUYS HL2 is NOT post-apocalyptic(well...sort of not) Sure it take place is a "crapsack world" The world is still government by "Universal Union" (or "Combine" for short) so is more of a dystopian world. However it can count as one if you include the Black Mesa Incident...
I think more than its visual beauty, Fallout 3 is by far the best post apocalyptic game ever made because of the sheer size and interactions the player can do. With the permutations starting from look of the player to game changing decisions the beauty of Fallout 3 is that you and all your friends would actually be having a different gameplay but still end up on the same endings despite all the different choices you made. That, according to me is the secret to a genre-defining badass game.
The decisions in Fallout 3 are predictable just like its cliche characters without any real motivations, the Brotherhood of Steel are good guys and the Enclave are bad guys, thats it, no consequences that make you think about the decisions you make, be good and good things happen and the opposite, thats why The Pitt DLC was better than Fallout 3
Phendranaguardian show me an open world game that doesnt re-use textures and I will show you an open-1-room game. The fact it was 2008 tech and managed to do so well was a testament to the developers. Also the fact that 99% of Fallout 2 fans thought Bethesda were gonna fuck it up so bad it would be the last game yet they praise it... shows it was quality. Personally I think it was an almost perfect way to take FO2 into the 3d world.
Erubanhron putnam Yeah, the Brotherhood being impromptu heroes in D.C gave them an interesting good guy story considering the rules, regulations and history of the BoS. But even with their Elder being the one who fronted the change up, I find it hard to believe that so many people who once LIVED by the codex threw it aside and followed the words of one who went against it. I feel like there should have been a lot more outcasts, otherwise there are a hell of a lotta BoS members who ain't loyal to their cause, and that shit is hard to buy.
The DayZ MOD is Fallout 3 but more realistic, less buggy, more immersive and fucking FREE. A FREE GAME is better than Fallout 3. It's ugly, and everyone acts like they aren't even fucking human. Also, I can define it in a single genre. GENERIC OPEN WORLD.
fallout is superior it nay not havebetter grapichs but is got better story guns survival feel is has better at everythingplus withmods modrenization modsmakes this legend stiil live on
Yozakura53 It was the one that felt the least like fallout, everything was so disjointed, it felt like every quest hub was it's own island, nothing felt tied together. If you really think it's the best one, then i highly doubt you have played fallout 2.
Tim Homer Almost every single clip they show for a video game is within the first 10 or so minutes of starting the game. They don't actually play the games for their video.
I'm happy to report back yes. It is #1. And I'd like to support why this is #1. Replay value, rpg elements (such as questing and upgrades), artwork and originality. Many games like the zombie shoot-em-up franchise are good, however they are only played for one purpose, massive-mindless zombie shooting. To be honest I'm surprised that bioshock wasnt proposed, but then I realized the era at which it wouldve been played at was more of an alternative timeline of the 1930s or whatever
By the way I would love to own The Last of Us but unfortunately its a PlayStation exclusive, *sigh* xbox gets lots of exclusives, but when Playstation gets an exclusive it puts all of the others to shame (mostly).
I agree, even though I'm a Fallout 3 fanboy (it's my favorite game ever) I can admit that the story and graphics of the last of us were better than that of Fallout 3 and I've never even played the game xD I'm considering buying a PS4 or borrowing a friend's PS3 just to play it.
I feel like mad max the game should have made it on the list somewhere I can't be the only person who really liked that game and feels like it under appreciated!
Metro 2033 was better than last light in terms of atmosphere and (in my opinion) the gameplay, mostly because it was more of a survival horror than a shooter
I'm guessing you really love The Last of Us and haven't played Fallout 3? Both are amazing games and I own both but as far as experience and sheer fun FO3 wins by miles *literally* TLOU had an incredible story and world to delve in but it was linear & the gameplay was nothing different while FO3 gave you a post-apocalyptic world to fully explore but also presented some very difficult and karmatic choices along the way as well as interesting RPG/combat elements such as V.A.T.S < *Awesome*
TheePartyMonster I have. well thats just subjective feelings, if you think the last of us did it better, so be it. but watchmojo's ranking is based on voting, which means more people think fallout did it better, so yea
To compare S.T.A.L.K.E.R and Fallout series, S.T.A.L.K.E.R has a lot more mysterious atmosphere, more things to do, more open world and more game lines you can play. You can either fight for one group, for another, or just on your own. One of the best parts of that game is some particular areas, bases etc. full of strangers or different soldier groups, when it is prohibited to use your weapon in there, but it does not mean that you are not able to do so. Everyone who played S.T.A.L.K.E.R, should know what I am on about. That is why I would give S.T.A.L.K.E.R 1st place
FONV beats FO3 in pretty much every aspect except for one thing. the setting. while I do still like the setting of NV, FO3 was less linear in where you could go and better designed
Fallout 3 was far more linear. I mean, that's not even debatable. Better designed? No. A lot of attention and care went into both. And while 'fun' is subjective, NV had more locations to explore and more variation in those locations. I love the Fallout series, I'm not saying I don't like 3, it was good for it's time but NV wins out over it at everything.
***** I agree FONV > FO3 but when you leave the vault in FO3 you can go in any direction. in NV you stick to the main road for most of the beginning (goodsprings to primm to nipton to novac). the game does open up once you reach the strip area but its still more linear compared to FO3.
I agree that the setting in Fallout 3 is better than that of Fallout NV. Personally I prefer Fallout 3's dlcs, but I don't know about other people's opinions on that one.
Maxonton3350 I only played one DLC for FO3 (swamp DLC, cant remember its name) and two DLC for FONV ( Lonesome Road and Honest Hearts) but I would still say I preferred NV dlc's .
MrTelboy try Broken Steel dlc for fallout 3 you take on the whole enclave offshore head quarters and you role with the functional massive killer robot the brotherhood were making :D
The only people that think The Last of Us is overrated are people that prefer Xbox. The Last of Us is worth the purchase of a ps3 or ps4 alone. I liked all the games on this list, but none affected me like The Last of Us and I believe it should be number one, hands down.
Well Mr cultstudios you're entitled to your opinion. But my opinion kicks your opinion's ASS! And mine is it's a masterpiece worthy of all the praise out gets. But hey you're completely right saying that you don't care for it.
Hugo Stiglitz I played it entirely, cliché history, default TPS mechanics and boring characters. And I've picked the game actually trying to like it, but I hated it, just saying.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R will be eternal, I've played through all three games countless times over the years, read the book, seen the movie and even now the mod community still manages to bring me back. I'm playing SoC Oblivion lost 3.1 for the first time at the moment and im already amazed at the changes without even leaving the Cordon.
When i saw the last of us was number 2 i was like "What the hell could beat the last of us!?" Then i saw Fallout 3 and was like "Of course you cant forget about the classics"
The Last of Us is the perfect representation of what a zombie-like apocalyptic world would be. I'm not taking anything away from Fallout, it's a fantastic franchise but TLOU should have been #1.
The last of us is fucking overated and it does not represent well a zombie apocalypse its concept is the same as many others and fallout is just fallout end of conversation
On a zombie apocalyptic plain, sure I guess. On an overall score, no. While TLOU is more "realistic", its not nearly as cool or as interactive as fallout 3.
KRIEGLERR That's your opinion. But I'm not really a hardcore gamer... and what I have played, Uncharted 2 is probably the best. But even though I am kinda an Uncharted fangirl, there are a lot of other amazing games.
As a huge fan of both Fallout, The Walking Dead, and The Last of Us. Someone please explain to me why Half-Life 2 is "The greatest game of the decade" and why people ooze over it. I've seen it, I own it, and for the most part (but not all) I've played it. Doesn't seem that great at all to me. So please, reply below and (kindly, without being a dick weed) explain why it's so great and I'll listen to what you have to say.
@TheBlackYoshie That's your opinion. But many others love playing this game and there are things you just can't deny,it'was pretty revolutionary for gaming industry
I had this question too. You should really think about the game when it came out. It brought an awesome physics engine whereby the puzzles where you as a player could control and interact with the in game objects and it was not scripted - it was a breakthrough and unheard of. In game storytelling without showing a cinematic cut scene for everything was so well done. Really it might not hold up cause you would have played a lot of polished modern games but many of the ideas were taken or extended from these early breakthrough games.
Because Half-Life 2 is the pioneer of part of the modern FPS mechanic and it execute even better than some FPS today. Plus it has the most original story I ever seen. BTW The Last of Us and The Walking Dead is games after the 2010s. No conflict with HL2 "The greatest game of the decade" cuz it comes out back in 2004, witch is a impressive game back then...... And don't get me started on Fallout, personally thinking it is more overrated than you think about HL2 being overrated.(just my thought don't hit me)
Because before Half-Life there were first person shooters, after Half-Life there were first person movies. The reason why are Half-Life and Half-Life 2 rated so high is, that before HL and HL2 shooters were generic, very often without any story behind it or without any characters living the story. The whole gameplay of first person games changed after HL (2) introduced its view of playing and storytelling. The reason why you don't understand the value of Half-Life series is maybe in the fact, that you played modern FPS games before playing HL2. Back in my time, in 1999-2004, Half-Life and Half-Life 2 were both revolutionary. Maybe I'm wrong and your're older, but I still think you have played HL2 after you played some other 2004+ stuff. Compared to modern FPS games (or even TPS games) Half-Life 2 really lacks, but it was Half-Life what changed the world of modern FPS games. Puzzles in action games before HL? Never. Support characters before HL? Never. Etc.
+Sweet Roll Not correct, Fallout 3 garnered almost universal acclaim from long standing Fallout fans and remains the best selling and most critically acclaimed Fallout game as of 2015. Fallout 1 and 2 were mostly forgotten before Fallout 3 and New Vegas and Fallout 4 were made only because of the massive innovation and success of Fallout 3. Fallout 3 was the first Fallout game to truly bring the wasteland to life in every detail.
+joe danns Fallout 3 was nice on the first play through, then going back to it doesn't really make it interesting because 1 playthrough does everything. The FEV has no effects on the character seriously because it's not essential to the game like hardcore mode in NV. One ending for the most part and only 1 faction join with a plot ripped off from Fallout 2. It definitely attracted more people to the series, give it that, but I'd place it behind NV, 1, and 2.
Fallout 3 is the best post-apocalyptic video game ever, while Half-Life 2 is the best game of all time also the best FPS ever, Final Fantasy VI is the best RPG alongside Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VII
Love how someone dies and every gets on the bandwagon to suck off their cock. No one gave a shit about Robins Williams last month. I swear it shouldn't take someone's death for people to appreciate their life.
I've actually been a big fan of Robin Williams. I loved watching his movies and still do . I agree with you though, there are a lot of people who bandwagon with stuff like this , but there's no need to get angry over it.
7thGenGaming not angry, just find it lame how some people are on channels offended that the youtuber didnt make a robin williams tribute as if it's a neccesity. Not really speaking of you but people in general. Same thing that happened with micheal jackson, he was forgotten, only used for jokes about him molesting children. He dies and he's the king of pop and was beloved by the masses always and forever. Amy winehouse a lesser known singer, dies and she blows up. Every suddenly proclaims she was overlooked as an artist during her time(which I'll admit is true but still).
Men i loved both The Last of Us and Walking Dead and while The Walking Dead had much impact of me , i don't understand how people say The Last of Us is overrated , it's rated pretty accurate if you ask me.
Never played either but from what i've head from my mate it seems that Last of Us is more for people in it for the action while Walking Dead is more for the actual drama.
10. I Am Alive 9. Gears of War 8. Half-Life 2 7. Metro 2033 (different) 6. Rage 5. Beneath a Steel Sky 4. Bastion (different) 3. The Last of Us 2. The Walking Dead 1. Fallout 3 Honorable Mentions STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl Tokyo Jungle Fallout: New Vegas (different)
hehe funny everyone is bitching about Fallout 3 and The Last of Us now my opinion why Fallout 3 is better... -Replay value because of bad and good Karma you can change the whole gameplay -Amazing DLC the DLCs are big...new Openworld areas new Weapons/Skins/Enemys and Tasks -Huge Maps/Areas(Open World) the Map is very Awesome you need min. 10 Hour to go to all locations and there are still more... i play this game now for like 200h. and im still Finding stuff -Huge variety of weapons there are like 100 Weapons... -The way you can interact with every character in the game every action get a reaction in the game ! -Karma you can be an asshole and the Ai is an asshole to you or you can be good and you become cover and suport from the Ai - RPG elements -And a Big very Big Modding Community this Fandom makes new Missions Weapons Areas Skins.... you got a new game just from the Mods there are the one 100-200h. where you play Fallout 3 + DLCs and then there are 200h. for playing the Mods. and the best is its free you dont need to by a *** DLC for 25$ -Multiplayer ok there is no one in Fallout 3 but the Modding Community is working on one! -Graphics...you know Fallout 3 is from 2008...Tlof is from 2014...its normal that the graphics are better in the game...-.- +Sorry for the bad English, English is not my first language :)
I've actually posted this as a comment before, but I'll copy and paste it here because it says everything that needs to be said: "I've never played Fallout 3, but I'm having an extremely hard time believing that some game from 2008 tops The Last of Us, when the latter received over 200 Game of The Year awards and several 10/10 ratings from even big game critics like IGN and Machinima. In The Last of Us, the soundtracks go so well with the atmosphere of the game - dark and hopeless. The graphics are amazing for PS3 standards and now even better with the PS4. The voice acting is so lifelike; none of the lines felt scripted. The A.I. is remarkable in the way that they try to flank you, call you out when you have no ammo, change combat patterns with your gun accordingly, search your last known location, etc. (except for the occasional A.I. bug which even I can't deny). Even the multiplayer doesn't fail to remind you what a dangerous world they live in, with killers always out to kill you for even the littlest of supplies they can scavenge. The world is done in so much detail that, even if you get lost, you wouldn't mind because there's so much to discover - the remnants of the initial stages of the outbreak, the dilapidation of whole cities, long forgotten corpses, etc. The delivery of the story was so true to life and told so amazingly, that by the end of it, we choose to save a young girl over saving the rest of humanity. The story was told with so much subtlety that you can't just listen to the lines and expect to understand it fully. You have to dig deeper and actually think to understand the significance of the themes in the story. But, most importantly for this list, the depictions in the game were exceptionally convincing and made you feel like what was illustrated in the game would actually be how real life would turn out to be if the infection does happen in real life. And to top it all off, the infection in The Last of Us is based off a fungus found in real life, meaning everything you see in said game is feasible. (Watch this video: ua-cam.com/video/XuKjBIBBAL8/v-deo.html) Naughty Dog made a game which I feel English words are insufficient to describe."
Vora Z Yeah, it's a masterpiece. Fallout: New Vegas/3 are good games too, I just feel TLOU is better. It has so many tiny details like you've mentioned that makes it feel like it's real.
WiredGaming In retrospect, there are other points I've forgotten to mention, such as the fact that you don't spawn with ample ammunition like you would in Battlefield or CoD. You have to scavenge for them in the ruins of cities. Even then, you can't really scavenge molotovs or bombs. You can only scavenge the supplies needed to make these things. This adds on to the survival factor and makes you feel like a guerrilla fighter. And on another note, everywhere you go is a reminder of how society has fallen to the epidemic. Anyway, I'm glad you feel the same. :)
AgentNegativeOne I'm going to speak in his regards as being someone who's played Fallout 3 and New Vegas for HUNDREDS of hours. I love the Fallout games, great replayability. But, I feel TLOU and Fallout are two totally different game genres that can't be judged together. I've gotten a lot more hours out of Fallout, but I liked The Last of Us better. It has a better emotional attachment and unique experience than Fallout does.
PatientEleeven True, it was a small world but I enjoyed it for what it was and I have played it more times than I can count just to make sure that I have experience everything the game has to offer. The DLC added some things that were great without taking away from the main experience. I'm hoping for a RAGE 2 or the modding community to make a fan game or fan levels to add to the world.
I liked both games, but fallout 3 was a lot better post-apocalyptic game for me, new vegas felt like a wild west game more than post-apocalyptic, and it seemed much less polished, it feels like a mod for fallout 3 which adds a lot of good things, but is made by amateurs insead of a professional team like f3
Seriously ?! Gears of War HIGHER ranked than The Walking Dead ?!?! This adventure is probably one of the most emotional and best written games ever and this stupid cover-baised 3rd-person shooter is "better" ??
I love Walking Dead, never played Gears of War. I'm guessing that a lot of people prefer the gameplay for that one, and I heard it has a much better story than most 3rd person shooters. Its just their opinion, I've seen Walking Dead in much higher spots on other countdowns, like most emotional games, depressing games, best endings, ect. So I'm fine with it being a little lower on this one.
The walking dead by telltale is a one of a kind emotional, heart wrenching and satisfying experiences i have ever experienced. But as a game, it falls flat.
Yes, but Gears is a lot more ORIGINAL than zombies. Now do you understand, there are hundreds of games with a zombie apocalypse but only one where monsters from underground invade the overworld. At least Survival Instinct wasn't here :S
Je Javier I did play Fallout. But I played only about 7 hours or so, after that I got bored of the "story" and the robotic NPCs. It's not a bad game, but nowhere near as good as Last of Us or even Walking Dead.
If Gears of War was on here, why wasn't Half-Life 2? It is incredibly similar, in the sense that aliens conquer the planet and you are fighting a war to reclaim it, and is a much better game, in my opinion.
+LIZARDS ARE BETTER THAN YOU Highly subjective and just your opinion, i think that HL2 while superior technically, was the inferior game, while still an awesome sequel. The black mesa was such a scary unforgettable complex
Bonaboms Oh I don’t know, I’ll never forget walking into Ravenholm and having my own imagination betray my sense of comfort. That whole place sent shivers down the spine.
1:12 Why would anyone draw a machete with their left hand over their right shoulder? It's not even held in a scabbard! He'd be cutting through the right shoulder strap of his backpack every time he drew it out! 1:15 GLaD to see ShoC on this list, but I was hoping it would be higher up. Still, #9 out of the whole genre isn't bad. 1:41 Fact. Only it's not all that easy. Not unless you practice snork hunting for sport, that is (which I highly recommend). Before you know it, you'll become addicted to hunting snorks like a true sportsman, using only a pistol. 3:24 No one would dress like that in that kind of environment. That's pure fan service. 3:32 Converting a flare gun into a revolver or pepperbox pistol wouldn't really work. Actually, it might, but not like how's it's portrayed in R.A.G.E. 5:57 A "double tap" is one round more than it should take in that case. 6:01 Taking the stock off the shoulder to pump a shotgun is a rookie move. Keep that trombone gun shouldered, greenhorn! Why do third-person games always get that wrong?! It probably started with Resident Evil 4. Leon should have gained enough experience by that point in the saga to know how to handle that type of gun properly. Actually, even when he was a rookie cop in RE2, he should have received enough training by that point to handle a pump shotgun properly. 7:30 Whoville. 7:47 The Zone. I'd be a safari hunter for sport while working with the ecologists on the side (selling mutant body parts and such).
ty colston and the story, the characters, the side quests, the weapon balancing, the lore, the emmersivness, the music, the perks, the actors, and the graphics
I prefer New Vegas over Fallout 3, since I found it more immersive, and it had a better variety of weapons, and ammo, plus hardcore mode and the faction system. But I wouldn't say either is better. They're still some of the best apocalyptic games today, and two of my all time favorite games.
As far as I'm concerned, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. > anything on this list. Atmospheric, semi-open world-edness, and awesome gameplay (specifically the weapons, which won't always be as reliable as they should be, which at the same time adds tension in the most dangerous situations).
***** As much as I like the franchise, no it sin t post appocalyptic, basically it s humans that established themselves on another planet, which happens to be a complete wasteland, so no, Borderlands is not post-appocalyptic.
Day z is one of the most realistic game there is besides the zombies better than left for dead and more realistic u don't just go around killing zombies u gotta build a fire or get warm clothes when in mountain or u get hypothermia or a cold with includes coughing witch could get u spotted by others players u need to find food or u die need to find water or u die u get shot u will start to bleed u need a bandage and then a blood bag when u get shot will shake from pain u need to find bullets witch are hard to find
Hyper realism in video games is rarely a good thing. Also, praising a crappy over priced alpha for being realistic is the equivalent of praising Borderlands for ground breaking cinematics.
I'm not a fan of spending hours if not days playing to only have my progress ripped away by another asshole player. The game just doesn't appeal to me. I don't like the idea of rouge like games in general though. Not saying that Dayz is rouge like I am just noting similarities of having to start from scratch upon death.
Why is Cheeki Breeki on position #9? Should be rated Boris/10!!

Fallout 3 is an immaculate work of art. The Last of Us doesn't even compare.
I can't fucking wait for Fallout 4.
Fallout New Vegas is much better than 3. The only reason anybody has to like 3 over NV is nostalgia. New Vegas was better in every way.
Troy Baker ahahahahaha if u say so
Yeah, I do say so. There's your nostalgia coming in.
I think NV is not a bad game but there's no way you can say is better than f3
***** Hell yeah!
Yeah it improves gun play and it disapproves something called fun.
Byron Dellas I found it loads of fun and spent hours on it, it not being fun is your personal preference.
Lol everyone keeps saying borderlands. Borderlands isn't a post apocalyptic game. It's an alien planet.
No pandora is the planet its the name of the areaa combine on the planet
But you don't have a problem with Gears of War taking place on a different planet than Earth?
Casey-j-Neer CJN Gears Of War counts since the world was destroyed by creatures from the underground.

S.T.A.L.K.E.R is far superior to any game in terms of atmosphere and is far more immersive. Anyone who has actually played it is more than likely going to agree with me.
If you haven't played it, do yourself a favour and check it out, it is fan-fucking-tastic
Totally agree with you. Its one of those games that has stuck with me despite it being 7 years since I last played it
i think i stood for an hour in the game just to listen the guys singing and playing guitar. The sound and atmosphere was really awesome.. but i really loved the rest of the games on this list to! but in terms of atmosphere i agree with you
Sheogorath Gaming
Already have. They were great games but I far preferred Stalker.
Sheogorath Gaming Don't make Fallout look bad. It's a great game but most of them are un-comparable. People like you make great series look bad.
Martin R It's a great game and has been made absolutely mindblowingly awesome by the modding community. First and foremost: Lost alpha. Waited for years for it and it was well worth the wait
METRO FOREVER, GLORY TO COMRADE MOSKVIN!
Bram D. Glory to the red line!!
Rangers all the way I wish I was Artyom myself

I'm not a racist ! But I admit I loved Metro because of the story ,the adventure, the thrill, the horror it had. It was a really good experience and it was worth the time. Also the Environmental Graphics were beautiful and physics was perfect ! That's why I love the game
I liked 2033 i want to try last light
They don't even mention that the Metro games are based on Dimitry Glukovsys novels "Metro 2033" and "Metro 2034".
These are beautiful novels, I would give this to anyone who wants a really deep Story with action but also a lot of philosophy
Thanks for sharing.I'm looking forward to reading them.
already read 2033, played both games, wrote a book report on it, and looking forward to reading 2034.. im addicted to the metro series xD in fact the only reason im here is to find more games like metro
I have metro redux, which is both. and the novels are scattered around the map
Yea, and also why'd they chose Metro Last Light over Metro 2033. 2033 Was much spookier and captured the atmosphere much better.
Definitely. Last Light was great but was half-way between a sequel and an expansion. 2033 felt like a full game. Also scared the shit out of me a lot more.

gotta love all the idiots saying tlou should be number one, without having even played fallout... fallout 3 is one of the best games ever, not just in the post apocalyptic genre. seriously, do yourself a favor and buy the game, you don't know what you're missing. i can guarantee 95+% of the people who have actually played the game will tell you the same, it's a masterpiece and you'll feel stupid for bashing one of the best games of all time.
also, several games should be above tlou, such as: stalker (debatable, i get it if you prefer tlou), the walking dead (debatable, because it's very narrative focused, not that tlou isn't, but twd is basically an interactive story), fallout new vegas (even though fallout 3 is better), and metro last light AND metro 2033 (not debatable)
might have missed some.
Finally, someone who agrees that FO3 is better than NV
Der Herp Yeah Fallout 3 is the best game too me, and Fallout Tactics comes in second....i mean i have played Tactics all night two nights in a row before its that fun.
Dylan Andrews
Tactis was shit. It was basically COD their was no role-playing aspects all it was was shooting. FO3 also sucks because "Big Brother Bethesda" ruined it.
Der Herp
And don't say "Well FONV was made by Bethesda too!" no it was published by them.
SNAKEVENOM - Gameplay And More! Fallout Tactics came out before call of duty are you sure we are talking about the same game?
stalker should be way higher
How the fuck is fallout 3 higher than last of us and walking dead?
And half life 2?
BECAUSE THE GAME IS AWESOME.
because walking dead is a fad, and last of us is an exclusive.
Cause it's bad fucking ass
I dont know,maybe because it's a good game?
Great job choosing the fallout series for #1 it truly is the best post-apoctolyptic game series!
couldn't have said it any better
never liked fallout i dont know why, I paid £50 for fallout 4 on my pc and only played about 2 hours of it just cant get in to it
+ItsAlexM8 try other Fallout games, because Fallout 4 is post-apocalyptic COD, not an RPG, unlike other Fallout games.
While I think The Last of Us is a better game, Fallout 3 wins in the post apocalyptic category.
sadly it's called "top 10 postapo GAMES", not worlds :)
Well said musicalninja75

True.
so true
thats what I was thinking the whole time. I thought they almost put half life as number one.
Half life is more dystopian ^
Hahaha i wAs worried about fallout wasnt going to be there
I don't understand people.
The only one who thinks that F3 is "the best postapocaliptic game" is the one who has not played the first two games.

#1 should have easily been New Vegas. It improved on many things that Fallout 3 had a problem with.
+The Demandin Path *have to have
New Vegas pales in comparison to Fallout 3.
+Tyler Janes you're alone on that one bud
With all of the games that have come out since this video it's probably, at least almost, time for a REDUX. Wouldn't you all agree?
Yes.
Jordan Brown yeah after two years and after like 100 more games were released since this video was uploaded, I'm sure it's the perfect time to make a redux of this video with entries such as Mad Max 2015 and Organ Trail Remake
I was a little pissed of by seing Half Life 2 in the honorable mentions and not in the top 3. Anyway, Fallout 3 deserves the top spot.
I love half life but it doesn't feel post apocalypse that's probably why they made it a honorable mention
How is that not post apocalyptic?
that's the thing there still is civilization under the combine its more of a dystopian future then post apocalyptic
Agreed. And Rage shouldn't be on there at all....
Especially as FF as...9th or so. Maybe folks liked it, but it's SERIOUSLY dated now.
Half-Life 2 should be more than just a honorable mention, at least in the top 5-10.
true that my friend, replace it by the overhyped the last of us
GUYS
HL2 is NOT post-apocalyptic(well...sort of not)
Sure it take place is a "crapsack world"
The world is still government by "Universal Union" (or "Combine" for short) so is more of a dystopian world.
However it can count as one if you include the Black Mesa Incident...
Pedo Master
Or at least Gears of Wars with its "aliens". ALIENS ffs.
@@user-eq4vk4yg1f agree
Stalker should have been higher on the list
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is the best
Poor choice of reasons for you thinking "best game ever" because what you just listed was Telltale games motive and their games are shit

Without watching I'm going to assume fallout will be #1 =)
I'm happy to report back yes.
Sadly you are correct
You guys are great loved this
By the way I would love to own The Last of Us but unfortunately its a PlayStation exclusive, *sigh* xbox gets lots of exclusives, but when Playstation gets an exclusive it puts all of the others to shame (mostly).

I wish you put The Walking Dead higher, it's such an amazing game!
Metro 2033 was better than last light in terms of atmosphere and (in my opinion) the gameplay, mostly because it was more of a survival horror than a shooter
Last of Us should clearly be number 1 , WatchMojo really love Fallout
guess it's not so clear.
fallout is so much better...
Last of us is over rated. Fallout is way better

The Last Of Us definitely should of been first.

but watchmojo's ranking is based on voting, which means more people think fallout did it better, so yea
TheePartyMonster Ellie was a good character, but Joel was just a bland badass character that turns out to be softer than you think
Best apocalyptic games are STALKER and Metro
Overrated bullshit
Rogue_4TW Believe me, Fallout has ALOT more.
Last of us is sooooo great I beat the game three times and it should be 1

The only people that think The Last of Us is overrated are people that prefer Xbox. The Last of Us is worth the purchase of a ps3 or ps4 alone. I liked all the games on this list, but none affected me like The Last of Us and I believe it should be number one, hands down.
I'm a Ps3/4 player and I think it's the most overrated game ever.
Well Mr cultstudios you're entitled to your opinion. But my opinion kicks your opinion's ASS! And mine is it's a masterpiece worthy of all the praise out gets. But hey you're completely right saying that you don't care for it.
I own an xbox and I cwy evwy time. The beginning and end are so sad. :(

Boring characters? default TPS mechanics? How can you seriously say that shit and expect people to believe you?
S.T.A.L.K.E.R will be eternal, I've played through all three games countless times over the years, read the book, seen the movie and even now the mod community still manages to bring me back. I'm playing SoC Oblivion lost 3.1 for the first time at the moment and im already amazed at the changes without even leaving the Cordon.

The Last of Us is the perfect representation of what a zombie-like apocalyptic world would be. I'm not taking anything away from Fallout, it's a fantastic franchise but TLOU should have been #1.
Thanks Mr.Expert-On-Zombies-Being-Real.
I agree but others may not its an opinion
The last of us is fucking overated and it does not represent well a zombie apocalypse its concept is the same as many others and fallout is just fallout end of conversation
On a zombie apocalyptic plain, sure I guess. On an overall score, no. While TLOU is more "realistic", its not nearly as cool or as interactive as fallout 3.
Fallout is nothing to do with a zombie apocalypse. And Fallout is the god of post-apocalyptic games

Flame2304 nope Rage's storyline was weak, so were the enemies and the environment. If anything I think it should've been number 10.
Who here knew that Fallout would be the number one spot?
As a huge fan of both Fallout, The Walking Dead, and The Last of Us. Someone please explain to me why Half-Life 2 is "The greatest game of the decade" and why people ooze over it. I've seen it, I own it, and for the most part (but not all) I've played it. Doesn't seem that great at all to me.
So please, reply below and (kindly, without being a dick weed) explain why it's so great and I'll listen to what you have to say.
Character development, original storyline, engaging cinematic effects thanks to source engine, gripping gameplay.
Never. Etc.
My favorites:
Fallout 3
Fallout NV
Metro: Last Light
And now I add:
METRO EXODUS
fallout 76 sucks ass dude wtf
Facts
DAMN TRUE
NO POST-APOCALYPTIC GAME WILL EVER TOP THE FALLOUT SERIES .......i agree with this list
true
Indeed
I only played Fallout 3
I think the walking dead is a close second
Metro games can beat it IF they were open-world.
Who didnt think fallout 3 would be number 1.
+Adam Nichols those who played original ones and NV
I wasn't even thinking of them honestly I was just thinking zombies haha so I guess I didn't know that, I figured they'd do the last of us number one
+joe danns Fallout 3 was also the first game to not be made by Interplay. I still fucking love Fallout 3
Wait, if you consider Half-Life 2 an eligible entry, why the fuck isn't it on the list? It's leagues better than most of the games on here.
no it isn't
kere hitaf Yes*, and I agree.
Because half life 3 is not out yet duhhh
That's your opinion.
kere hitaf Am I the only one that didn't like Half-Life 2?
Fallout 3 got first! HELL YES.
I agree with this list. LOU was good, but when it comes to post-apocalyptic, I think Fallout 3 did it best.
Fallout 3 is the best post-apocalyptic video game ever, while Half-Life 2 is the best game of all time also the best FPS ever, Final Fantasy VI is the best RPG alongside Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VII
Best Robin Williams roles? Had that one already been made?
They should revisit it or maybe top 20 best robin Williams roles
Last of us is so overrated, it amazes casual gamers who are new to zombie drama but the walking dead telltale game should be in its place
How is TLOU in any way for casuals while TWD isn't? Seems legit.
Men i loved both The Last of Us and Walking Dead and while The Walking Dead had much impact of me , i don't understand how people say The Last of Us is overrated , it's rated pretty accurate if you ask me.
I agree, both games were amazing.
Never played either but from what i've head from my mate it seems that Last of Us is more for people in it for the action while Walking Dead is more for the actual drama.
You must be an Xbox person
Resistance fall of man 3 deserves a mention to.
yea, i agree.
I think it's just called Resistance 3, but yes i absolutely agree. That game was amazing!
Eww I didn't like resistance.
10. I Am Alive
9. Gears of War
8. Half-Life 2
7. Metro 2033 (different)
6. Rage
5. Beneath a Steel Sky
4. Bastion (different)
3. The Last of Us
2. The Walking Dead
1. Fallout 3
Honorable Mentions
STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl
Tokyo Jungle
Fallout: New Vegas (different)
hehe funny everyone is bitching about Fallout 3 and The Last of Us
now my opinion why Fallout 3 is better...
-Replay value because of bad and good Karma you can change the whole gameplay
-Amazing DLC the DLCs are big...new Openworld areas new Weapons/Skins/Enemys and Tasks
-Huge Maps/Areas(Open World) the Map is very Awesome you need min. 10 Hour to go to all locations and there are still more... i play this game now for like 200h. and im still Finding stuff
-Huge variety of weapons there are like 100 Weapons...
-The way you can interact with every character in the game every action get a reaction in the game !
-Karma you can be an asshole and the Ai is an asshole to you or you can be good and you become cover and suport from the Ai
- RPG elements
-And a Big very Big Modding Community this Fandom makes new Missions Weapons Areas Skins.... you got a new game just from the Mods there are the one 100-200h. where you play Fallout 3 + DLCs and then there are 200h. for playing the Mods. and the best is its free you dont need to by a *** DLC for 25$
-Multiplayer ok there is no one in Fallout 3 but the Modding Community is working on one!
-Graphics...you know Fallout 3 is from 2008...Tlof is from 2014...its normal that the graphics are better in the game...-.-
+Sorry for the bad English, English is not my first language :)
I've actually posted this as a comment before, but I'll copy and paste it here because it says everything that needs to be said:
"I've never played Fallout 3, but I'm having an extremely hard time believing that some game from 2008 tops The Last of Us, when the latter received over 200 Game of The Year awards and several 10/10 ratings from even big game critics like IGN and Machinima.
(Watch this video: ua-cam.com/video/XuKjBIBBAL8/v-deo.html)
Naughty Dog made a game which I feel English words are insufficient to describe."
Vora Z You should play Fallout 3 THEN judge which is better
AgentNegativeOne I'm going to speak in his regards as being someone who's played Fallout 3 and New Vegas for HUNDREDS of hours. I love the Fallout games, great replayability. But, I feel TLOU and Fallout are two totally different game genres that can't be judged together.
I've gotten a lot more hours out of Fallout, but I liked The Last of Us better. It has a better emotional attachment and unique experience than Fallout does.
Poll: Which was better? Fallout 3, or Fallout: New Vegas?
Fallout 2 is my personal favorite of all the games, but if I had to choose between 3 and New Vegas I'd say New Vegas.
I prefer fallout 3 mainly due to its world and story
Hard to say, I really like both.
MinecraftMinion
MAKE UP YO MIND, SON!
I like Fallout 3 for its big world and quests and such and I like Fallout New Vegas for its different groups that will like or hate you.
Rage above Wasteland and Stalker? Wtf are you people smoking.
What's wrong with RAGE??
Jet The Hawk I heard it was boring and tedious.
Jet The Hawk It was really short and small map, in my opinion, good concept tho.. i liked it, but not more than stalker...
Agree or not, we never search for their videos, the are always recommended to us
What about borderlands? That was a great post apocalyptic game
not earth... there isnt even mention of earth in that game
it isnt post apocalyptic game though. its set on a diffrent planet. and we dont know what happened with earth.
I don't think it counts because it's on a different planet and it's not post apocalyptic and that planet... I think
It's not post apocalyptic on that planet**
Im pretty sure Pandora's just a really desolate planet
New Vegas and fallout 2 are better then 3.
Totally agree Vegas was amazing .
What makes New Vegas better than 3? I've been debating over which one I like more recently.
KevinACarroll1996 Vegas for me had better storyline and RPG elements .
so you don't like 3?
I liked both games, but fallout 3 was a lot better post-apocalyptic game for me, new vegas felt like a wild west game more than post-apocalyptic, and it seemed much less polished, it feels like a mod for fallout 3 which adds a lot of good things, but is made by amateurs insead of a professional team like f3
Seriously ?! Gears of War HIGHER ranked than The Walking Dead ?!?! This adventure is probably one of the most emotional and best written games ever and this stupid cover-baised 3rd-person shooter is "better" ??
Opinions
Get rekt pal
Rage is my favorite post apocalyptic game
RESPECT BROTHER
Something tells me #1 will be Fallout 3 or NV instead of Fallout 2 like it should be...
The Last Of Us should have easily been nr1, since it's not only the best post apocalyptic game, but the best game ever.
You never played fallout then, which is good because it will consume your life more than WoW
The best game ever should be something that you can replay over and over and still have fun...ex Fallout...last of us has no replay ability
Well idk gtav clealy won game of 2013...but the last of us is definitely 2nd
FancyxToast
I played Last Of Us about 5 times by now. I love the story and I love to show it to different people.
Je Javier
I did play Fallout.
Although I do love Gears Of War, I don't think it should be in the top 3. I woulda say Half Life 3 at 3 and Gears Of War at 4
JJ Do you work with valve?LOL,HL3 confirmed!
I completely agree with you.
Pranjal Bhatta Oh shit lol
Honorably Mentioned...
I was waiting for FO3 to appear on this list. I’ve been playing it since 2009!
Fallout > The Last of Us = The most overrated game = One of the Worst AI mechanics = Worst fanboys ever = Pathetic.
Never really had any problems with the A.I, but whatever, think what you want I guess...
I personally like Fallout better, but the Last of us had a great story
***** Fallout has all, The Last of Us story is decent. Really! I hate that girl, Ellie, she is annoying as hell.
TheReaperOfSouls
Oh hell no dude, I love Ellie, she's what makes the game for me. But whatever floats your boat I guess.
***** Same here.
STALKER is the best one on here
wexenhex have you played fo3 or fo4 or nv?
i did and S.T.A.L.K.E.R is way better
@@zerquex4520 well Fallout is more famous and iconic
Strawberry Flavored Bleach
yeah and theyre pretty generic (except new vegas)
2 problems:
you chose half life 2 instead of 1
half life wasnt even on the main list
***** half life 2 was though. my bad
***** already acknowledged that thanks
+Damon Llopiz there's a third problem too... Half Life 3 doesn't exist
+LIZARDS ARE BETTER THAN YOU Highly subjective and just your opinion, i think that HL2 while superior technically, was the inferior game, while still an awesome sequel. The black mesa was such a scary unforgettable complex
Bonaboms
Oh I don’t know, I’ll never forget walking into Ravenholm and having my own imagination betray my sense of comfort. That whole place sent shivers down the spine.
I Am Alive and Metro Last Light and The Last Of Us and Fallout 3 will do me some setting up on the PS3 or on the PS4
1:45 HAHA he sais they are pretty easy to take down and then clear a half clip into a snorke...
OK
Number 1 is a fucking joke. Seriously, almost every game from the list should be higher than FO3.
Has pipboy as pic ^
You're joking...
RadicalBastard187
Ah, yeah, sorry, I forgot that Fallout 3 was the first Fallout game /cuttheveins.
So right!
your opinion is so ew
If fallout 3 isn't number 1 I am going to hang myself.
It is.
Also play games like Metro mate. Or STALKER (though it aint post apocalyptic).
NV and FO1,2 and Tactics also beat FO3.
Alexander Yordanov Indeed it is, and fallout New vegas and tactics was no where near as good as 3, whatchu talkin bout willis? Tactics? Really?
Sean Wilson
Yes really :)
I think that although great, FO3 is the worst of the series.
And still... metro and stalker :P
Alexander Yordanov You know crack isn't good for you right?
Sean Wilson
Normal tactic for peole that don't know what to say.
Look at all the dumb people saying New Vegas was better than Fallout 3. Lol. Seriously.
The only thing fallout 3 has over new Vegas is the scenery.
ty colston and the story, the characters, the side quests, the weapon balancing, the lore, the emmersivness, the music, the perks, the actors, and the graphics
I prefer New Vegas over Fallout 3, since I found it more immersive, and it had a better variety of weapons, and ammo, plus hardcore mode and the faction system. But I wouldn't say either is better. They're still some of the best apocalyptic games today, and two of my all time favorite games.
Jim Barsly Did you just say Bethesda's lore was better than Obsidian entertainment's lore?! I completely disagree.
yeah i did say that, can you read?
As far as I'm concerned, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. > anything on this list. Atmospheric, semi-open world-edness, and awesome gameplay (specifically the weapons, which won't always be as reliable as they should be, which at the same time adds tension in the most dangerous situations).
agreed. Stalker imo it's not only the best post-apocalyptic game... I think I haven't played a better game in my life
Nicolás Saelzer Villarroel The only game that would be better would be Metro if it was open world, but sadly it's not.
"Ha! Rain! When was the last time you've seen rain?! I think maybe before the war..."
Pavel
fallout 3 is my favorite game ever
0:37 sees porn
Reaction:Woah!
Isn't Resistance or its sequels considered post-apocalyptic?
i thought the same man, it meets the criteria and is definetely on the top 5
***** I believe Borderlands takes place on a different planet. I could be wrong, though.
yeah I swear they could've at least taken up Honorable Mentions.
***** As much as I like the franchise, no it sin t post appocalyptic, basically it s humans that established themselves on another planet, which happens to be a complete wasteland, so no, Borderlands is not post-appocalyptic.
blarghhboy you are right and borderlands isn't .. you know. But you got me on resistance
Glad to see RAGE made this list vastly underrated game, and probably one of the smoothest running games if ever played
I don't think glitches, hackers, lag, and zombies that can walk through walls make a game very realistic.
Well, it's still in early access.
Realism dosnt mean good
I think most of us could guess #1 by reading the title. Not a bad decision though.
Portal is set in a post-apocalyptic world.
At least Portal 2 is.
You never explore the world though. You're only experience is within the Aperture Science labs
They said half life 2 and one game per franchise
no its set in a post apocalyptic testing facility . the world is fine when you beat 2 and go outside
This is "Top 10 Post-Apocalyptic Video Games"
That suggests the games actually have to be good, hence no portal.
Resistance and Enslaved needed honourable mentions to say the least
you made the right choice for number 1
