    There is another variation of it, which is through the nose (I learned the nose version first); and I don't know how but it sounds similar and more piercing. It can be done by rolling your tongue up in a certain position too. Never knew there would be too many variations of the same whistle. Btw, good work! You are the first tutorial of this specific whistle!! Loved the video 🔥

    Hey, thanks for this vid. There's not many tutorials and you mentioned some info that others haven't. More context and info is always nice.
    I have a question. If you're able to do poh snare, can you describe how this whistle is different/similar to poh snare. I do my poh snare in rimshot/k-snare tongue position (and my lips in an o), so when I try to do this whistle I frequently do a bit of a poh snare. Is there a certain lip position or cheek position that you think is better or worse for making this sound

    • @krossbbx3088
      @krossbbx3088  Рік тому

      Haha well no I cannot do the poh snare and I don’t really think this whistle is that similar to a poh snare as while your lip position can change the pitch of the whistle to some degree, the whistle sound itself is produced between your tongue and the top of your mouth. I have found it comes out a bit more consistently if I underbite my jaw a little but yea

  • @boixaac

    Bro! Thank you for uploading a tutorial for this specific whistle. I found the sweet spot for it however, is there a way to change the pitch? My whistle pitch is much higher than yours.

    • @krossbbx3088
      @krossbbx3088  3 роки тому +6

      Getting a lower pitch requires you to drop your jaw more and also lower your tongue a bit, it’s easier said than done as this whistle requires a lot of precision to produce a strong result but yea

    Thanks for the great tutorial, kross! Quick question, what exactly is the difference between ralik whistle and this “hollow zekka pallet whistle”

    • @krossbbx3088
      @krossbbx3088  3 роки тому +7

      As far as I can tell, this whistle is quite literally a more opened up version of the ralik whistle, the biggest difference being that for this whistle you have to drop your jaw more and move your tongue farther back in your mouth

      @@brokenrl yea a lot of people come to that conclusion, which is understandable since it sounds similar and it’s hard to see any mouth movement that would indicate otherwise, but I can assure you that it’s more of a tongue whistle. It’s also much more powerful than most throat whistles
