This hits home really hard. Growing up, I was always taught to never stop and that a break is for the weak. Others will get ahead of me in the competition (academia or what else) and that I will fall behind and won't make it back up if I take a break. For so long this has haunted me and eventually I broke in college. It was the worst time, by myself on the opposite of the coast and I ignored all physical and mental signs that I was deteriorating. It is so important to pay attention to yourself, love yourself and give yourself a rest. When Joe said that Asians have this problem, it took me back to my childhood of being disciplined this way and how it is affecting me so negatively right now. I'm learning to fix my habits and that incessent voice in my head to makes me push myself too hard.
Ariana Kim Ariana Kim I agree! Definitely look out for yourself. Your mental health should come first. I hope you’re doing much better now. It takes time to unlearn those habits. I grew up similar until I hit my last year of high school, I felt like I could never achieve anything unless it was perfect. It became an obsession, I couldn’t hand in my work because it wasn’t perfect. I stopped coming to school because it would cause me to have an anxiety attack. I had too much pressure on me and snapped. I wish Asian parents started caring about their kids more and realizing that mental health is real.
Ariana Kim that's the right approach to take in life especially now that I'm older and definitely see things differently. Asians aren't white with the whole white privilege shit, gotta work ten times as hard just to survive. only difference is knowing when to rest and smell the roses. mental and emotional health is so important. not enough emphasis on that.
Ariana Kim dude, same. I had my bouts of depression, anxiety and low moods once I hit first year university because all I ever knew was to work hard and not let my parents' time and money go to waste. I was studying overseas and all I could think of was being a disappointment to my parents. These things really bury themselves deep in your mind.
Possible tip for Isaac: I had anger issues, specially to homework when I was a kid. Later in life found out I'm hypersensitive. Body goes into fight-or-flight mode when stressed, so hard homework would litterally make me rage, or I had to go into another room to physicaly escape the work. Working with lights on didn't help either, since I'm also affected by the more yellowish light from older bulbs. Sounds weird, I know, but true. Dunno if any of it relate to Isaacs situation, but if it does, make sure he starts the work early, and let him take lots of breaks when hitting a wall.
It's called being a teenager. From around the age of 13 to 15 i noticed that i was bottling up rage, if my mom asked me to the dishes or any chore i didn't wanna do. Now i don't even think twice about it. It's just going through hormonal changes in most cases.
I also heard that when working in Asian companies, you're peer pressured into doing overtime for several hours after your max work schedule. Say if you clocked out just one hour overtime, coworkers would then bully you and belittle you into staying longer/committing suicide like Joe mentioned. It's terrible, and I hope Asia starts properly paying attention to this.
I don't get it...... This is so unbelieavably retarded to me I just don't get that mentality. Why mandatory to work overtime? The only thing that truly is mandatory is to work their designated hours. If yoyu sign up for a job of 8 hours nobody should force you to stay a minute longer than that cuz that's what u signed up for WTF is this logic? I can imagine them being like "ohhh this job-ad says 8 hours but what it really means is 12+ hours" Dude WTFFFFFFFFFF??????????
the overtime reached 159 because some companies treat the 6th day or weekends as overtime work, my highest overtime per month was 144 hours ( average 14 hrs a day, 10 hrs on a saturday ), that was 10 years before, before they passed a law requiring all companies to limit working overtime by 60 hrs a month, some companies still get away though.
Many Americans work 16 hours a day for years straight. You work 8 hours at one job and go straight to another job when you get off for another 8 hour shift. And most make crap money at both. How much do you make at a Japanese company?
Scott Emmons Emmons refer to my 1st reply ^ I just turned yen to $. honestly, I dont think theres much difference, its the overtime pay and bonuses that adds a lot here in Japan.
@Studio6mm its not the overworking is the problem, the society is fucked up in Japan, and today, most Japanese men dont even know how to approach women, a lot of them gets discouraged easily especially if they're not as good looking as a pop idol.
*Bart: "If there's 20 working days in a month..."* That's cute. In Japan there are *30 working days in a month!* How funny that Americans think everyone gets weekends off lol Also mental health issues are especially taboo in Japan. You better hope your boss/company doesn't catch wind of your visits to a therapist or you might even risk being fired for fear that you're a "loony!"
I have stages of anger : 1. Kinda irritated, but keep to myself 2. Will glare and have an occasional sigh 3. Get snappy, but I'll try joking about it. 4. Trying to rationalize the issue. Want to solve our problem in a timely manner. This is the calm before the storm, don't go past this point. There's no return. 5. Will absolutely lose my shit, you will learn new insults and get stabbed, your house will burn down and your beloved belongings will be smashed. 6. Won't talk for 3 months to a year and if I'm forced to talk, it's a repeat of 5. I will be extremely vindictive in everything I do, unless I get a proper apology.
Yeah but honestly I want them to succeed because they are nice people, if they didnt upload like 5 times a day I think they would get more views honestly and whenever they feature a guest they get no viewers from that because in 3 hours that video is gonna be taken over by another one
Brian Griffin I get where your coming from but currently they really can’t do anything different because there’s really nothing else they can do plus already there done all of them are living great lives already as is. To get more views possibly collaborate with like hella big UA-camrs but other than that idk
Real talk David could probably snap your neck like a twig, he’s s lot stronger than you think plus he’s pretty tall. he’s a comedian so he doesn’t take himself too seriously
Omar, you'll be surprised who's tough and who's not these days. David is a pretty big dude who has a mental toughness as well as physical, that "soft act" is just an act.
Another possible reason for Japan overworking may be due to a population decline. In addition Japan has one of the most strict standards for foreigners to become a citizen with almost 99% of the population being Japanese.
There are laws here in Japan to prevent overtime, but it doesn't work. People commonly clock out, only to go back to work. Officially they aren't working so legally the companies are safe.
I worked for a Japanese-based company here in the Philippines and we all went on an outing. My coworker and I had a chance to chat with a Japanese supervisor. He said it was nice to see everyone have a good time because they don't do this in Japan.
everytime i want to take a break at work, i contemplate my decision because i don't want to be looked down upon just because i took a day off. I work at amazon and we have overtime every month..it took a big toll on my body
that's why korean airlines have so many crashes and mishaps. those second in command with piloting planes would rather let the plane crash then go against the captain or tell the captain what to do.
My workplace is a living hell. We work ourselves to death every day. Someone once died because he worked 16 hour shifts and he just graduated. That was about 2 years ago. I’ve been there for 4 years. I feel sick every time I walk through the door.
Oh my god I was so confused when Geo said kaysuki LOL I was just like.. what language is that?? Then I realised she's trying to say 개새끼 ahahaha David what are you teaching her??? Anyways it's supposed to be pronounced keh-seh-ki but other than that her Korean is so good I never realised she knew some words
I got home from work and did most of my college papers so I sat down to chill and watch JK News. My Asian dad walked by and say "I see you on your phone 24/7 you never work hard". I'm like, ok I need to do weed now
I can't imagine an angry Isaac :O unless he had a miniature mock up of a city terrorizing like Godzilla! Another reason why I don't want to live in Japan too long...
Wow the most overtime I have put in at work has been 92 hours in total of just overtime for a month plus the 160 regular hours. I average about 70 hours of over time per month though. Working 12 hour days and coming in on days off making overtime stack up pretty fast.

JKN needs to do a story on Kobe Steel! Apparently they have been lying about their products, which includes rockets, bullet trains, structural steel, aluminum, copper and other metals. Watch today’s Philip DeFranco show! I want to know JK’s opinion!!!!
Most Asian countries are still developing. Practically almost all of them are still developing. If we are to be as developed as the West the extra work needs to be put in. Its not like America is standing still waiting for us to catch up. This is why we're tense all the time. Nobody needs to say it out loud but every time we travel, just the way the rest of the world looks at us, we feel like second class citizens of the world.
If you have teens, teach them how to control their anger in a positive way. Like David said dancing. When I was young I was always angry and one day I hurt someone I loved and I regretted till this day, however I now turn that aggression towards running and playing music and now I'm much happier. Thanks JK for bringing this up
Julia just won me over when she said Pochacco is her favorite. I dgaf about Hello Kitty or those other characters. Pochacco has always been and will be my favorite. I have about 10 lined up against a wall.

However.... this isnt the first time they said theyd address the problem. I can only hope that something is actually done this time, even if its a slow progress, slow effort is better than no effort.
i feel what they're saying. my parents are young but even they have the mentality. you have to be presentable to others even if it's fake. so my little sisters behave at school but the second we're all home even one is just fighting and having break downs. and i dont want to get married or have kids and women in my family, all they ever did was be house wives so no one knows how to help me and they all look down on me. mental illness is a huge stigma in asian culture especially. they just dont believe it and it's just a sorry excuse. it's all so complicated.
i get david sometimes you just whip your cell. If you throw something soft you don't get the satisfaction but luckily i got a punch bag so now i take a deep breath put my cell down and just hit the punching bag for ten minutes until im chill again. its helped with my self harming as well.
1.8M subscribers . Like , like , like ...... awesome stuff , cussing on point , perfect insertion of f bombs and bathroom actions , great job , you should get to 18M gen x ers in no time ! I wonder how many people born in the 40s-80s are watching this saying ...we have a bright future ahead of us .... keep keeping things real ...
Ugh guys this worries me. I've been applying for jobs and one of my best bets is this Japanese company. (Provided, I'll be working for its international branch, but their working culture isn't really that much globalised, I heard.)
Isaac is lucky. At least he had help for his anger issues. My 1st generation Asian parents' idea of help is yelling at me until I calm down.😅 I still have severe anger issues and stress related lash outs.
I’m literally the girl equivalent to David lol. I don’t throw my phone out of anger but when I’m mad I literally go and punch walls, metal objects(poles, metal carts, inside of elevators or escalators), I punch anything that hurts me and is inanimate. And then I cry and then I’m good. Cause I’m not trying to go to jail for beating someone to a bulp, so I just end up injuring myself. Kind of like David with his fucked up knuckles...I’m the black broke version of David lmao!!!!
Asians are all sorts of messed up. seriously, Japanese people do work a lot and they work HARD. gotta admire their stamina. definitely a part of their culture. just read the article. wow both victims are so young and have their whole lives ahead of them. I'm over 30 myself and I feel guilty for complaining about the most mundane things like weather. who says you can't die young from heart disease. hope Japan really considers how they treat their people before there isn't anybody left in japan 😟
Here's a tip for Isaac take him to therapy. My sister had a very bad Temper once taking her to therapy for a bit talking it out to some therapists she got way better like once a week after school. It sure did help her though.
When Geo calls David names in Korean and David calls Geo names in Spanish xD lmao love their friendship
Kaihlee Lo they need to do that more often

More like slavery...
Kim Jong-Un lol
REALLY!? Where do I sign up
I believe you ...
Kim Jong-Un or over eating

It's usually a sign of low intelligence when one resides to violence to such things.
A malfunction in the adrenal glands have nothing to do with intelligence.
No, this syndrome is called “not getting you ass beat enough”
same, yellow light bugs the SHIT out of me so a lot of room is light up with LEDS which I have control of how I want the color that day.
It's called being a teenager. From around the age of 13 to 15 i noticed that i was bottling up rage, if my mom asked me to the dishes or any chore i didn't wanna do. Now i don't even think twice about it. It's just going through hormonal changes in most cases.

Toshi damn quick Q it’s a bit personal but how much would they pay per month? For working 140+ overtime hours a month
back then I was making $4400 monthly. $12 per hr, overtime is +35% of your hourly rate. $192+ daily ( 8hrs + 6hrs overtime ).
Many Americans work 16 hours a day for years straight. You work 8 hours at one job and go straight to another job when you get off for another 8 hour shift. And most make crap money at both. How much do you make at a Japanese company?

MissyLillie that’s terrible :/
School too! Teachers know and avoid having to deal with it. It's okay since the kids will just kill themselves. Problem solved lol
Geo's Korean disses to David were so cute hahaha
*Bart: "If there's 20 working days in a month..."* That's cute. In Japan there are *30 working days in a month!* How funny that Americans think everyone gets weekends off lol Also mental health issues are especially taboo in Japan. lol David and Geo arguing over being dongsaeng and noona. And Bart's laugh sounded like Scooby-Doo. lmaoooo!
I relate with David soo much when he spoke bout having conflict with parents and how they care about other people's opinion and not ours. OOOOMMMGGGG.
I have stages of anger :
1. Kinda irritated, but keep to myself
2. Will glare and have an occasional sigh
3. Get snappy, but I'll try joking about it.
4. Trying to rationalize the issue. Want to solve our problem in a timely manner. This is the calm before the storm, don't go past this point. There's no return.

david says he doesn’t take breaks like he didn’t leave his youtube channel for some months
leslie probably to do other work.
Damn near 😂😂😂atleast he’s back now
Jk news really needs to figure out a way to grow faster its been like 2 years and they are still on 1 mill I really want to see them grow.
Yeah but honestly I want them to succeed because they are nice people, if they didnt upload like 5 times a day I think they would get more views honestly and whenever they feature a guest they get no viewers from that because in 3 hours that video is gonna be taken over by another one
Brian Griffin They are succeeding they have other ventures besides jk news
Elijah Idemudia Ik but those grow just as slow as Jk news and its all with the same people who are subscribed to both channels.
Brian Griffin No I'm talking about the other jobs and businesses they have outside of UA-cam they are doing fine.
Brian Griffin I get where your coming from but currently they really can’t do anything different because there’s really nothing else they can do plus already there done all of them are living great lives already as is. To get more views possibly collaborate with like hella big UA-camrs but other than that idk
Bart and joe are actually tough, david...not so much. Atleast that's how he portrays himself
Real talk David could probably snap your neck like a twig, he’s s lot stronger than you think plus he’s pretty tall. he’s a comedian so he doesn’t take himself too seriously
suCC for three-fiddy Oh, weird to see you talk to your long life friend Omar thru youtube comments, why don’t you text him instead.
Omar, you'll be surprised who's tough and who's not these days. David is a pretty big dude who has a mental toughness as well as physical, that "soft act" is just an act.
Waleed Thtg love the sarcasm.
Theres a difference between supporting and full on deep throating.

Geo's nails are everything!!
I understand David and breaking stuff when your angry
I worked for a Japanese-based company here in the Philippines and we all went on an outing. My coworker and I had a chance to chat with a Japanese supervisor. He said it was nice to see everyone have a good time because they don't do this in Japan.
I really needed to hear this especially today, thank you JK ♥️
Damn Gio ( o Y o ) 😛😛😛
Julia is toooo cute I swear✨💞
NataliaLove too bad she wasnt in this video.
You are so true she so gorgeous
She's so adorable
What’s your ig @? I’m tryna follow you 😍
As a Japanese, this is very disheartening but very true. One of the reasons why I don't want to enter the Japanese workforce.
Geo's use of Korean is so funny
LOLOL Geo’s Korean is pretty good
Dropping those Noona bombs on David.
Geo came outta nowhere with all this Korean. Lmfao! 1 win for Geo, still love u David.
"OH MY GAH I MISSED YOUR BIRTHDAY"
"weren't you there?"
I love when Geo unnie speaks Korean
everytime i want to take a break at work, i contemplate my decision because i don't want to be looked down upon just because i took a day off. I work at amazon and we have overtime every month..it took a big toll on my body
I need the self confidence that Joe has 😂
"I'm a buff guy"
I miss working in a Japanese Company. The constant argument with my Superiors, the stress, the pressure. Keeps the blood flowing.
that's why korean airlines have so many crashes and mishaps. those second in command with piloting planes would rather let the plane crash then go against the captain or tell the captain what to do.
I read this article in my AP LANG class last week and I was shook...I had to write a rhetorical essay on it....
My workplace is a living hell. We work ourselves to death every day. Someone once died because he worked 16 hour shifts and he just graduated. That was about 2 years ago. I’ve been there for 4 years. I feel sick every time I walk through the door.
Wtf I was researching this for my English class and JK comes along and gives me another source for my argumentative research
I'm like, ok I need to do weed now
The NHK 😨😨 anime flashbacks.
Every culture has good and bad aspects. That's why I think cross pollination is good cause we can all learn together and build up humanity
I can't imagine an angry Isaac :O unless he had a miniature mock up of a city terrorizing like Godzilla! Another reason why I don't want to live in Japan too long...
What a coincidence, because I just got home from a 12 hour shift 💀
I'm at my 12 hr shift (night shifts) LOL
It's a designer clothing warehouse in London. I do pretty much every job in there depending on what needs to be done the most.
Ramzinator Good luck
geo and tiff look beautiful as always🔥🔥
Joe: "she called you chocolate." Lol
I felt a little depressed but this made me happy
Love you guys
The squeak when tiff pulled her nails down the table. OML NOOOOO
"She called you chocolate" effing joe 😂
Geos ceaveeee
Wow the most overtime I have put in at work has been 92 hours in total of just overtime for a month plus the 160 regular hours. I average about 70 hours of over time per month though. Working 12 hour days and coming in on days off making overtime stack up pretty fast.
Submitted by Kobayashi-san! XD Love it
The prison I work at is so short staffed some of us are hitting 40 hrs a week of extra overtime... it's definantly exhausting.
I feel you 100%.
Big Q TV better use that money to pay things off, or save it for a rainy day. That’s the only thing that makes it worth it in my opinion.
Pochacco is my favourite too!! Also Bad Batz Maru :D
Happyy birthday Geo!
My notifications are back!!!!
Me and Geo have the same birthday!!!!! Oct. 3rd!!! Happy belated to us!!!!
Tiff is so gorgeous!
Cody Manivanh always
I had to replay it when Geo said “that’s some gay shit”...😂😂😂
I keep having dreams about JKcrew -_-
I dreamt I came to visit LA and David So bought me gifts. Bart and Geo were in front of the car driving while I was sitting in between Tommy, Julia, Gina and David. Everyone else sat at the far back of the car. It was an awesome dream lol.
Joe, I din't know that you worked at Okinawan company. Please come visit here again!
it's strange how Tiffany grows Isaac, I'm going to watch him grow and in the future i'll see which tactic works best:
1. the Asian beating tactic
2. the Tiffany meditating tactic

YES GEO SPEAK THE TRUTH!!!
Julia just won me over when she said Pochacco is her favorite. I dgaf about Hello Kitty or those other characters. Pochacco has always been and will be my favorite. I have about 10 lined up against a wall.
Lucia Szeto Don't worry, nobody gives a fuck Hello Kitty too. Or that shit in general.
Y'all should read ReLife
Komogil1 is it a manga?
that moment when geo is using korean terms and david is using spanish terms
My grandma always believes the way her grandchildren act will be a representation of her but it doesn't make sense because she didn't raise us 😐
oran ge yep totally agree
Comment 420!!! 😎 Happy Birthday Geo!!

Can't relate ..I take like 5 breaks in between an hour of homework😭 I have no self control
i get david sometimes you just whip your cell. If you throw something soft you don't get the satisfaction but luckily i got a punch bag so now i take a deep breath put my cell down and just hit the punching bag for ten minutes until im chill again. its helped with my self harming as well.
Try taking up a de-stressing hobby instead. Like reading or watching carefree movies. :)
I liked my melody and little twin stars !!
Real AF, thank god my schedule was change for good. Working in Japanese Company is physically and mentally exhausting.
Unless maybe you're at Nintendo.
I have to do this for homework so I know what they're talking about without watching the video

Isaac is lucky. At least he had help for his anger issues. My 1st generation Asian parents' idea of help is yelling at me until I calm down.😅 I still have severe anger issues and stress related lash outs.
hahahah Geo busting out her Korean, put David in his place :')
Kind of like David with his fucked up knuckles...I’m the black broke version of David lmao!!!!
im the same in basketball, I say im not going to go hard but at the end of the day I have a turned ankle
i luh ju
I know Steve isn't in this one but it makes me sad to know that there aren't people being real life trolled by Steve right now.. 😞
Davids fingers aren't important to him?
I relate with David on the breaking shit thing 😩
I fucking love davids faces!!
My rents were basically chill..if i looked like shit they were like whatevz, rock it
Asians are all sorts of messed up.
seriously, Japanese people do work a lot and they work HARD. gotta admire their stamina. definitely a part of their culture.
just read the article. wow both victims are so young and have their whole lives ahead of them. I'm over 30 myself and I feel guilty for complaining about the most mundane things like weather. who says you can't die young from heart disease. hope Japan really considers how they treat their people before there isn't anybody left in japan 😟
Off topic but, Am I the only one who is now traumatized by the sound of an alarm?
I like that Tiff said the way Issac is is a representation of her. Good parents never have it easy
Here's a tip for Isaac take him to therapy. My sister had a very bad Temper once taking her to therapy for a bit talking it out to some therapists she got way better like once a week after school. It sure did help her though.
How do you tell the difference between a kid having to control his anger vs the school being the problem that is contributing to his anger?
