Really good power trios are incredibly rare. The drummer here can really sing, obviously the bass player, as well. Roy deserved an excellent rhythm section. What a dream band.
saw ROY at toads in new haven ct . and at a freebe in the park in new haven in the 80s . a true master , miss him . he turned down becoming a rolling stone .
Hey Catfish, I'm from D.C. area too. I was lucky enough to see Roy over a half dozen times. Last time was in Orlando and he had this dude whalling on the drums and singing this tune. The trio was awsom. Roy died way too young. Did you get to see Danny Gatton?
Saw Roy 7 times..first time for my 18th bday..American Music Hall..SF..FANTASTIC!
Privileged to have seen him play twice live in NYC
God bless him music
Roy is unmatched in what he does w/that guitar.
YEAH MAN!!!! Carrie Ziegler AND Vince Santoro!!!! AMAZING VOCALS!!!
This is the Roy I remember. I used to see Roy in DC at the Montage where we kids understood but may not have really appreciated his genius.
Great clip
Love this guy...God Bless those fingers...

bamboosa Robin Trower also has a great power trio. Saw him last winter. Wow!

Roy made this HIS, just as Jimi did with "All Along The Watch Tower".
Just awesome.
