Frank Woods Is A Reference To Chuck From Dead Rising 2
While the name might be a nod to Frank West, the protagonist from the first Dead Rising.
Or a very clear rip off of Jack Benton from Flat out the game it quite clearly rips off....
Bro when i was commenting i did not saw you. Sorry if you think i stole ur comment
The character deffo looks like Chuck, but the name is literally Frank Woods, in reference to Frank Woods from Black Ops 1. So maybe its a double easter egg?
That's who I was thinking too!
Frank Woods looks like Chuck from Dead Rising 2 and has a very similar name to Frank West from Dead Rising.
I was just thinking that. Was gonna point it out but you got there before me
Also clearly rips off the game FlatOut and it's main character Jack Benton.
I was thinking that the moment I saw him
Same name as Woods in cod black ops
Which was based off the wrestler hackSaw Jim duggan's
Frau Uber could be a reference to a Nazi from Wolfenstein: New Order
Frau Engel maybe
4:07 she reminds me of juri from street fighter, but it might be me
With the name similarity, too, I was thinking "That sounds like a reference to Juri Han"
@@SzandorQuinn Not only that, but they are both from South Korea.
Her jumpsuit gives off more D.va vibes tho. But a lot of these characters seem to reference more than one game.
8:51 My first thought was it's a reference to the "Something to Tide You Over" segment of the first Creepshow movie. In it, Leslie Nielsen's character kills people by burying them up to their head in sand, and recording it. However, he does it on a beach, and they die by slowly drowning when the tide comes in. The game doesn't have it on a beach, or near water, so it might not be that reference, but it's still very close.
I thought the same thing.
"I can hold my breath for a long time!"
Me too. if You Can Hold Your Breath. Thank you for recognizing that
I cant say ive ever seen it
It's a good movie
@@CaptainEggcellentYou owe it to yourself if for no other reason than to watch the last segment They’re Creeping Up on You.
3:47 looks almost exactly like Sean Devlin from The Saboteur, and come on 3:58 Frank Woods/ Frank West / Chuck Green
2:43 this is DEFENITLY a fallout reference, i recognize the thumbs up, and theres been a cartoon or photo of vaultboy having a thumbs up daying "dont lose your head" with his head cut off
I was abt to say that lmao
I feel like the "DON'T TRUST THE MANAGER" easter egg is actually a reference to Ratman in Portal!
Yeah there are definitely similarities
8:20 could it also be referencing the horror movie manic where it’s a slasher set in a grocery store?
Frank woods looks like chuck green from Dead rising 2
And the name can be compared to Frank West
Beat me to it!
Me too damn it good eye on you bro
I came to comment that
I thought the same but I couldn't stop seeing terror billy blazkowicz from Wolfenstein
Brilliant videos and I can see some writing on the floor next to the crow at 3:02. If someone could use free cam to see what it says.
“Hello Everyone and welcome to another episode of Boundary Break where we BASICALLY take the Camera anywhere we want”
3:58 I believe that’s supposed to be chuck from dead rising 2 since they’re both wearing yellow and have a similar hair cut and love demolition stuff
Don't know about the rest, but at 4:00 Frank Woods looks like Chuck Greene from Dead Rising 2 (I am guessing Frank Woods is just a hint at Frank West).
I appreciate your effort in getting the first Easter egg to work. Not a lot of people would do that for their own footage 👍
The Cyberpunk 2077 scene of a man buried to his head in the dirt with a camera is a definite reference to the Keanu Reeves film "Knock Knock". Keanu plays a cheating DJ who is basically framed, blackmailed and kidnapped by two women who make his life a living nightmare. The final scene involves Keanu waking up in this exact scenario with no escape and the whole internet watching the blackmail video of him. It was a terrible movie but it's Keanu, he's great regardless. Nice find.
I’m so glad someone else saw it too!
Is that the one with Ana De Armas? 👀
@@CaptainEggcellentyeah it is
@@CaptainEggcellent in the words of the Churchall dog "ohhhh yes"!
no way 😆 it was definitely a reference to far cry but i see the similarities
4:00 I think the name Frank Woods is a refrences from Dead Rising 1 main character called Frank West. And for the character model looks very familiar with Chuck Greene from Dead Rising 2. Speaking of Dead Rising, I think you should talk about the easter eggs too ^^
The jacket kind of made me think of Cole Macgrath from Infamous 1 as well. Of course, Chuck's jacket was also yellow with black bits like Cole's, so could just be overthinking it and it's just simply a nod to Chuck and Frank.
“Smash”💀💀💀💀 3:12

@@aaaaaaaaaaaa899 is that a correction?
He does have a son after all
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
@@Bman32x what do you mean
4:08
3:24 I think the blacklist is also a reference to the blacklist from need for speed most wanted
I was going to mention that but the concept of a blacklist isnt unique to NFS
Now this could be me but the way that Alice Angel was dancing at 1:23 looked like the Twerking Thanos meme
its a stock animation from mixamo, so it is the same one!
7:13
For me, when the cleaner said ‘a lot of stab wounds’
It reminded me of the Detroit: Becom Human meme
‘28 STAB WOUNDS!’
but I feel like that’s a bit of a stretch.
The part when he said ‘Hi, Mark!’, it did sound like The Room reference
I'd say that the berried up to the neck one could easily be Vaas, or because of the camera and chair, it could be a reference to the segment "Something To TIDE You Over" from the movie Creepshow.
The Frank Woods guy looks a combination of Chuck Greene and Frank West from Dead Rising.
The giant pigeon in Bendy also feels like a nod to the giant crow easter egg in Evil Within 2.
In fallout 4, one of the buildings located next to swan’s pond, is a reference to the tv show cheers, the name of the building even is Prost, which is cheers in German.
I think this detail has been covered before, but nice catch anyways.
Yeah already covered but its still a great reference!
Chuck Green from Dead Rising 2 is a good reference for Frank Woods. Frau Über reminds me of Claire Redfield from Resodent Evil but with blonde hair.
An easter egg I have noticed, is that in Death must Die, you are able to get a 4 stam 4 strength leather belt, I hope you understand the reference, but if you don't, it is pretty much just an old WoW meme.
That" hi Mark" is definitely a reference lol i heard it immediately
In twisted metal head on for the PSP a character name axle has the Mortal Kombat dragon tattooed on him
8:51 It reminds me of that one scene from The Scorpion King when The Rock got buried in the same way.
Yuji looks like a reference to Juri Han from the Street Fighter games
Thank you Captain.
love your content! Hope you have a wonderful day
4:08 Yuji Than reminds me of Juri Han from Street Fighter. The focus on pink and the rhythm and rhyme in their names makes me think of her.
Also Frank Woods is a mashup of Frank West and Chuck from Dead Rising 1 & 2 respectively :)
1:14 “And then this will happen”
*looks into hole, screen goes black*
Ad Voice: REFRESHING COORS LIGHT BEER 🍻
Seems like Frank Woods could be a double reference. Not just Dead Rising 2's Chuck, as many have pointed out, but considering his position and status in the Trail Out festival, as well as his chosen cars and their colors... he also seems to reference Jack Benton, the "current top driver" of the Bugbear-made FlatOut games, which Trail Out is a spiritual successor to.
I found a pretty neat detail in Overwatch 2.
On the Chateau Guillard map, you can see a bell tower in the distance.
I found that if you snipe the bell with Widowmaker, you can hear the bullet hit the bell after a short delay, which I think is pretty cool, as most of the characters don’t have the range.
I recommend making a custom match to find this detail however, as the map is used for the Deathmatch gamemode.
Bendy and the Ink Machine has an easter egg on the appointments poster in Chapter 5, with the name "F. Fontaine" scheduled for 10:15 as well as "That Puppet Guy" for 3:30
8:51 while I don’t think this is referring to this I immediately thought of Redmans - “Dare iz a darkside” album which is also a reference to Funkadelic- “Maggot Brain”
2:33 is meatly logo makers of that game ;)
As mentioned on twitter, I think Frank Woods is a nod to Jack Benton (who was originally called Frank) from FlatOut 2, Ultimate Carnage & Head On. His car is identical to Frank’s & they share the same colour scheme. The game also references that he is a three time Trail Out winner & he was in three FlatOut games. Also surprised you didn’t mention the Joker or Dom Toretto characters 👀
There's honestly a ton of references in Trailout. Like how that Dinosaur one isn't the only one, there's 4 more and all tie to an achivement at well. Also some of the Costumes. Or when you activate a cheat (don't worry, you're kinda expected to), a familiar "Cheat activated" notification shows up.
Regarding Secrets of the machine, with every update old easter eggs are removed and new ones added. So youd have to play it before it updated to not miss out on anything. Every playthrough is different depending on if the game got updated. Hope that helps.
4:07 That's Diva from Overwatch
No she from street fighter.
hey thanks to mentioning again with the bendy easter egg, i commented on your last video game easter video to mentioned the evil within easter egg, just feel right to mentioning another game easter egg. big fan btw, and keep on hunting those eggs, cheers :)))
I've been a supporter for 2 years daddy Eggcellent

Same bro 😄

This man right here, this one using black magic
Here in 5 mins within posting🔥🔥amazing content as always
Frank Woods is a mixed reference to Dead Risings Frank West & Chuck Greene!
Creepshow (Something to Tide You Over) made in 1982 has someone buried with his head sticking out and being filmed. x
New video makes me happy
7:27 the way he talks about the body and says "hi mark" must be a reference to deadpool
the last one reminded me of that one vine where a dude is covered in sand up to his neck and telling the ocean to f off XD
Frau Uber to me looks like the blonde Terminator from Terminator 3
There's a cool eastern egg in Tomb Raider Remastered. On level Shakespeare's Cliff while you are in the channel tunnel you can find the world's first train.
Stevenson's Rocket. It wasn't the first train ever built, but it was the most advanced, and established the template that all future locomotives copied.
@@Rocket1377 oh okay my mistake. Still it was a cool eastern egg anyway
Bruh angel was throwing it back in the ink machine Easter egg.
The pause in 3:10 lol. Maybe frank wood is the guy from dead rising but It's just me
Dead rising, it's a mash up between the main characters of dead rising 1 and dead rising 2
@@moonfireentertainment4995 Sorry, i forgot i wrote dead island. But i've played dead rising 2 and it was alright but i don't even know the plot
@@dragonx4570 I don't think many people who played the game know the plot, I know for sure I didn't and I played most of the games, there nonsense but fun
@@moonfireentertainment4995 Lol i haven't even met 1 person(irl) who knows the plot
In the game "one crabs truesure" if you stand idle for long enough once you have aquired heart pods, your character will take one of the hearts out of your invintory to start doing taps, if you interupt him mid taps, the heart pid will be kicked away, really cool derail i found
I recorded this last night, its a great game!
Yuji is a reference to Juri from SF I think
The cyberpunk one reminded me of "Merry Christmans, Mr.Lawrence"
0:00 The loudest hello ever! Jeez!
That T-Rex Easter egg also had a very strong Dino Crisis 2 vibes.
2:56 what is that writing on the floor?
Frank Woods kind of look like Chuck Greene from Dead Rising 2. Same face shape, hair, and wearing the same colors.
Frank Woods could be a nod to Dead Rising 2? Looks like Chuck Greene to me
all I can think of for the last one, the one of the man buried up to his neck in the sand, is the mighty boosh "soup song"
Concerning Trail Out
3:25
Frank Woods is a reference to Dead Rising, he has the same first name as Frank West and the appearance of Chuck Greene. The Woods surname is a play on Chuck's last name being Greene.
Yuji Than is def a reference to Juri Han from the Street Fighter series.
Visage had a reference to the same TEW2 Easter Egg. It's even an Easter Egg-ception because it also references one of the Silent Hill games at the same time.
I love that Jurassic Park reference
In the game “Another crab’s treasure” if you afk in game your character will start to play with one of your healing items and it take one away from the total until you pick it up after moving.
In the same game there’s a sea urchin you can find in New Carcinia that if you talk to will complain about not being able to hug people but if you run into him and take damage enough times you will get a special ability to use.
There’s is also an imposter shell from among us in the game.
Amazing video bro!
1. Yeah it does look like the Vaas torture skit.
2. The character in Bendy also does look and partly resembles Among Us.
I don’t know if anyone else suggested it, but I remember some time ago suggesting some title card or graphics to be used for the “Overused Video Game Easter Egg Of The Week” and it makes me really happy every time I see it because it feels like I had some influence on these videos.
The Bendy easter egg is probably actually a reference to similar but older party rooms in even older games like Quake II and Thief II
4:00 he remids me of a guy from very similar game named Flat out 2
Ah I remember playing Flatout 2 constantly on the PS2
Honestly, I think the first Easter egg in Night of the Consumer could be “overly used Easter egg of the week” since I think it was a reference to Portal and the famous “the cake is a lie” line scribbled on the hidden areas of the test chambers.
The Head in Cyberpunk 2077 isn't the only one... As there is another in Dogtown {Also in Cyberpunk 2077} where you can get A Special Melee weapon from
Frank Woods is a reference to Dead Rising's Frank West and Dead Rising 2's Chuck Greene, with Woods being used as the last name as woods are normally Green. Also the character is dressed similarly to Chuck's default outfit.
The second I saw that grave I knew it was Arthur. Rest in peace ARTHOR.
I haven't played Watch Dogs in a while, but Frau Uber gives me the vibes of that woman you meet later in the game.
I dont know if you wanna add this in a detail video but if you walk on bullets in hell divers 2 they actually make different sounds, also if you exit the combat mission area in helldivers 2 you get a dialogue from the leader saying you are a traitor before killing you, also in mortal kombat 1 if you have johnny cage on selected on in announcer and pick goro he will say “still waiting on those pair of glasses” hinting at the first ever mk movie where he breaks Johnny’s glasses
On Another Crabs Treasure if you leave your game idle the crab will pull out a healing item. When you move him he'll drop it and you have to pick it back up if you don't want to lose one
1:20 when u peaked into the hole a perfectly timed add came up an scared the living
Sh- outta me
4:08s Yuji Than is a reference to the protagonist and main character of Ridge Racer. It's a really good racing game with good background music. And it lets you see the perspective of a woman racer.
Good God was I fast on this one.
that oh hi mark HAS to be a reference to the room.
also Frank woods seems awfully familiar to Dead Rising 2, i can also see others have commented on it.
The guy buried up to his neck on the beach being filmed could also be a reference to one of the segments in the original Creepshow movie.
6:35 i don't know if it's a reference or not, but i was playing Dead Island 2, and the pool and house reminded me of the streamer house
That "hi Mark" easter egg might also contain a reference to another film, a good one. As in Only God Forgives a guy gets killed pretty much the same way as Mark in the game was killed. But who knows, maybe it's a reference or maybe it's not. Still a great film.
Frank Woods is a Dead Rising 1 and 2 reference, with the name for Frank west and the general aesthetic of Chuck Greene
When you showed the clip and I heard him say hi mark I was thinking the same Thing as hi mark from the room
On Trail Out Frank Woods could be a reference to Chuck from Dead Rising 2 as he's got similar yellow jacket
Let me chime in real quick then...
1) The characters in Bendy remind me of BattleBlock Theater's character design somehow. The decapitated character to me also looks like Among Us though
2) Frank Woods from TrailOut to me seems like a reference to FlatOut 2's Jack Benton (TrailOut generally seems to have taken a lot of inspiration from FlatOut).
8:20 could be a reference to the 80s slasher manic set in a super market ?
Dave the diver, you can hire a worker named “James” who wears a hockey mask is just huge ! also after hiring you can interact and he says something on the lines of “hoo.. ha… hoo.. ha…” obviously a clear reference to Jason voorhees
Season 3 of Modern Warfare III started a couple weeks ago and with it came new maps... And with it another potential entry to "Overused Video Game Easter Egg of the Week". On the map Grow House, right behind the house is a familiar RV. Honestly Call of Duty isn't quite where I'd expected to see that RV, but there it is
3:57 Frank Woods is definitely a reference to Dead Rising 2. He looks almost identical to Chuck Green and shares a similar name to Frank West. And Yuji Than kinda reminds me of Juri in Street Fighter 5
In another crab's treasure there is a bonfire with a sword in it. It would be perfect for one of the over used Easter eggs off the week
Frank Woods looks very similar to Chuck from Dead Rising 2. Also, the name of the protagonist of the first game is Frank West.
Yuji Tan reminds me of D.Va from Overwatch just because of the suit.
The remaining two are also familiar, but I can't pinpoint which character they are referencing.
There's an easter egg in Another Crab's treasure for Mario. It mentions him by name on a cigarette carton. It's further in the armory after meeting the duchess
For Trial Out characters -
Frank Woods, based on his appearance, looks like a reference to Chuck from Dead Rising 2, and his name, Frank, might be a reference to Frank from Dead Rising 1.
Frau Uber could be a reference to Caroline Becker from Wolfenstein, though I'm not too certain. They just wear similar coats, and are both German.
Joe Boomer looks like he's referencing professional wrestling legend Hillbilly Jim.
Yuji Than, with her color palette and outfit, looks like a reference to D.VA from Overwatch.
I think the name of the mission in crime scene cleaner is a reference to the Punisher as it says the house of Mr castle and he was in a mass shooting.
The man in the sand might be a reference to how the Scarab tortures his enemies in AC origins but that might be because I just played that.
I've got a hidden detail. When hovering over a planet ruled by automatons in helldivers 2, you can hear the lasers flying past your ship.
Trail out is a spiritual successor to Flatout. It's literally in the name
the man baryed one at the end could also be a reference to scorpion king
