Finally found someone who compares the Brave to the River. I bag and absolutely love the River. Because the Brave seems so similar, I've never even tried it. I do like the Royal plastic, but River ain't going anywhere.
I've played a few rounds with the Strive now and I'd put it at a 13/6/-1/3. It's a little less stable than a Rive but quite a bit more glidey. When it beats in this thing is going to soar for a mile on a hyzer flip.
IDK that I've ever thrown either of those. I have a buddy that uses to throw Raiders and the Strive seems very similar to that but some Raiders start way more stable iirc
I love a brand new Grace! Hate it after it beats in after 10 throws... Same with the Rive. They have a great overstable flight, but after a couple months, they become a hyzer flip disc. Just not reliable for long
I almost agree with you that these will take over a lot of beginners bags but I just don't think they will beat out things like Innova F2 stuff because Lat64's plastics are pretty pricey
That's a solid point, these are nearly twice as expensive. I'd rather pay an extra $5-10 to have something that I really like, especially if I'm going to be using it for months, but I think you're right about beginners
the brave fairway flys exactly like a stag from Westside just one speed lower which makes sense and the other seems more like a shryke/ falcon then a rive ish disc
Just picked up and tested the strive and i was wildly mislead by the numbers. There is no planet this has - 1 turn 🤣 almost all angles I threw it on burned over to a roller. There was some mild wind but every time it could not sustain a flight before rolling. I would guess around - 2 - 3. Kind of wild how off the numbers are with this one. Had anyone else experience this?
That's interesting because I was chatting with some people the other day that said they wanted the Strive to be less stable haha. Did you throw a proto as well? Curious as to how they compare
I reeeallly like Kasta plastic as well but it can get a little too soft for what I want for a driver. Splitting hairs at that point though either way, they're both great. And I DO prefer the Kasta feel for slower discs 👌
Love your videos! Great content, editing and sense of humor....a triple threat!! Keep 'em coming!!
Appreciate that, will do 👊
Love the style of this review. The Grace is my favorite driver ever, and I'm definitely getting both of these.
Same, probably.

Great video. Perfect timing, format.
appreciate it 👊

I love them out of the box. My concern is if they beat in as quickly as Rives the Strive might have a short life cycle
Excellent video!!!! Love the Lat64 protos
Same! Have you grabbed a Royal box as well?
@ArmoryDiscGolf sure did. Tempted to get another one!
@@christophermerida8071 those Royal Hopes are gnarly huh? I don't really like that style of throwing putter but they look and feel great
bought my fiance the royal box for christmas. These two discs are the best 2 out of our combined 40 discs. Best plastic. Best flight.
They're the real deal 👌
First time watching your channel. Love the in depth reviews, and of course the absolute flings off the tee. Great video !!!
I appreciate that, glad to have you around 👊
Ima have to grab a couple of those. BTW love the t-shirt bro
I'm excited for them to go to full production, they're going in my bag as well. And thanks! It's my new favorite
Could the brave be a rebranding of the maul
I thought about maybe it just being a Royal Grand River, which wouldn't be bad at all. I don't think it's as understable as the Maul
How does this compare to the Raider and Trespass?
IDK that I've ever thrown either of those. I have a buddy that uses to throw Raiders and the Strive seems very similar to that but some Raiders start way more stable iirc
Any word on when the Brave and Strive will hit the retail market?
No, but it's not soon enough haha

I’ve found that with all trilogy drivers. I used to have a glow trespass that was perfect. Then a short while later completely unreliable and flippy.
Same, I had a Lucid Trespass that I liked for a couple months. Can't trust it for anything now @@emilykaczor6757
I kind of like that about the Rive, I enjoy cycling them. Helps feed my addiction to putting new discs in the bag 😂
which plastic are you using?
@@ArmoryDiscGolf I can't afford to cycle Grand plastic lol
seems like the name strive is for STraight Rive 🤔
Could be. Should've named it Lograce then 😂
The Strive Reminds me of the Havoc, just enough flip to bomb without burning out
We got these in the shop a couple days ago and I'm excited for them to go live tomorrow! Yeah they absolutely nuke 💪

I like that Strive sounds like Rive and Brave like Grace x Rive(r) sorta.
Strive had to be intentional. I see what you're saying with the Brave too, I'd imagine it's probably just coincidence on that one though
the brave fairway flys exactly like a stag from Westside just one speed lower which makes sense and the other seems more like a shryke/ falcon then a rive ish disc
Yeah the Rive comparison was strange to me other than the speed of the disc
I'm curious to see how the strive compares to the ballista, more glide it looks like and maybe a touch more stable.
The one Ballista I've ever thrown was way flippier than the Strive. But I'm not well versed with the Ballista

A faster Grace? Call it Gracier! lol
Gracier sounds like a slower grace to me. Like "glacier", which is pretty cool (no pun intended)
Do these discs come in the new Royal box 2024?
Yes they do! Among others
Strive and brave are looking nice.
very much so 😎
You made me want to pick up these discs lol.
They're both really great. I'm waiting to get an orange Strive, it's going straight in.
I’m a pink thrower, so will wait for these colors as well.
@@lorenbarnhurst this is the way
He's a commercial, lol
Looks like Texas 😊
It is! I'm very very thankful to be able to play year round. Give me 100° over 40° ANY day haha
@@ArmoryDiscGolf lol for sure. It's been beautiful these past weeks.
Best plastic? That honor goes to kastaplast, the royal line is just kasta-quality since kastaplast joined house of discs.
I reeeallly like Kasta plastic as well but it can get a little too soft for what I want for a driver. Splitting hairs at that point though either way, they're both great. And I DO prefer the Kasta feel for slower discs 👌
I lost some respect for you when you putt with your Brave there.....but it came right back after that Strive forehand!
😂 not a fan of putting drivers, noted
Dunno man, this was odd and seemed to be counter narrative to what the video was.
Nah.
Not sure what you mean
