Turkey is way more developed than some eastern european countries, and the capital, ankara, is closer to brussels then cyprus (considered as member of the european union), i think they should have let Turkey join the european union

The reason they don't sell alcohol in election days is not because turkey is a Muslim country (it's actually not tho) but people will vote so they shouldn't get drunk, they can ruin their vote. Besides that that's a lovely vlog here! Hope you enjoyed

Das Frauenwahlrecht gab es vor vielen anderen Europäischen Staaten. Dank dem Gründer der Türkei der weltweit mit seinen Gedanken sehr fortschrittlich war. Deswegen wurde zum erstmal Mal auf der Welt durch die UNO 🇺🇳 für eine Persönlichkeit 1981 als Atatürk Jahr geehrt. Er war einfach vieles in einer Person vereint, Umweltschützer, Mathematiker, Geopolitischer Stratege, Frauenrechtler, Kinderrechtler, seine Schritte in Kunst, Strafgesetz, Industrie etc. Er hat Tausende von Büchern gelesen, war damals überwältigt von der französischen Revolution die auch in den USA die Demokratie gebracht hat, den Sturz des Adels und die Macht an das Volk, er ist das größte Beispiel für Fortschritt. Er war ein sehr fein Denkender Mensch, er sah die Frau als die Hälfte an die die Gesellschaft vorantreibt neben dem Mann, und nur zusammen ein Ganzes möglich ist, er hat viel Wert auf Kinder und die Jugend gelegt, er ist der Erfinder des Kinderwelttages. Viele Denken die Türkei ist rückschrittlich, jedoch ist die Basis der Türkei sehr fortgeschritten, die Ideologie Atatürks. Die USA ordnet die Türkei politisch als Mittlerer Osten ein, doch in Europa wird die Türkei nicht als Mittlerer Osten Staat eingeordnet. Die Türken sind moderne Menschen und der Staat auch modern. Türkiye is not a Muslim country like Iran, Saudi Arabia etc. it is a secular State since 1923 like France. The religion is a private thing, you can drink but you must not. I hate it if somebody fly to other state and not inform basic things about the state. You must not the hole history but simple Informations you should. It is a blame and shame when you don’t know this basics.

I’m actually not sure at all - it most likely was a Mosque (and definitely not a church) I apologise I’ll have just said this wrong and not even processed what the building was 🖤 As for the sound, yes that was the Adhaan! I didn’t cut it off we’d just finished speaking - so sorry for getting this wrong though🫶
its probably a clock tower. Mosque being there along with a clock tower is kinda common thing to appear in some mediterranean towns

@@AugherAndy i live in Turkiye, but unfortunately i cannot even live like a tourist in my country. The economy is very bad but I can't tell you anything. Of course, everyone will go to cheap and beautiful places. Don't get me wrong, my reproach is only to the Turkish government. love you guys💞💞
It seems this way but the Turkish economy is actually terrible and even getting worse for tourists but above all citizens there 🥲
The viewpoint you'll find from most turks is : they love their country, but hate their government.
The dog is probably a Kangal (mix), a Turkish breed :)
Also if you're ever in Turkey again I really recommend you to try Pide as a veggie food option, it's a very popular food there, a bit like a pizza and I haven't really met anyone who doesn't like it (it's pretty popular in Germany as well at least in cities like Berlin) :)
