I love that there are no micro transactions but I worry that without a steady revenue stream it will go away agian. I don't have a problem with micro transactions as long as they are all for cosmetics. Overwatch starting to charge for heroes was the end of it for me.

I didn't know about Gigantic until it was too late to play it, so learning about it from a friend who was a huge fan made me regret missing out. Grabbed it on re-release day, and I'm totally addicted. It's the closest experience I've had to recapturing the magic of my all-time favorite hero shooter, Super Monday Night Combat!

Even with the server issues at launch I stuck with the game because I was having that much fun. Things are a lot better now and once they totally smooth things out it’ll be perfect!

Rush really does feel like a simplified version of the game's main draw, but it's also PERFECT for casuals like me who just wanna hop into a match, try things out, and not worry too much about each individual battle. plus it fits nicer into my lifestyle schedule than having to do a more drawn out match, so i'm just glad there's a mode for that.
It sucks it's the first mode unlocked though cause it doesnt really teach you anything
Being able to pick a new character or build then switch to your main if things start heading south is so helpful for trying out things. Really goofy too to go from a squishy ranged you were feeding as to an unkillable nuisance of a tank/bruiser and taking revenge on the melee assassins who were giving you trouble before.
I wish Battleborn would come back. Especially since Blizzard has pushed so many people away from overwatch I think it would fill a space that isn't being filled

fax! great game, its a shame a bunch of games in this time frame 2016-2019 wwere overshadowed by triple A games...that all kinda sucked lol (cod battlefield, etc)

Same! I played this at PAX for the first time years ago and it was so fun, bummed it didn't get a successful launch but glad it's back!
The way characters level up and you pick paths for your skills reminds me a lot of Heroes of the Storm and it's one of the main reasons I loved that game. Instead of an item shop and having to learn every item then worrying about stats more than anything you actually focused on your character and the playstyle of that character. The talents on Heroes of the Storm let you customize the character as you're playing so you could counter pick a few things and/or change things to fit your playstyle a lot more. For instance, there were a lot of healers that could actually use the talents to gain more damage over support if they weren't really needing to support the team that much. The annoying thing is I usually see people complaining that Heroes of the Storm, and I'm sure this game by extension now for a similar system, is too "dumbed down" because it doesn't have the item shop MOBAs normally have.. but I actually find that to be a very good thing since it's less focus on the items you buy and more focus on how you actually play your character and customize them to your playstyle.
Poison/mobility voden will have you feeling like singed with a bow
I main ADC in league but singed is one of my favorite characters when I decide to leave that bubble. Voden is just so fun though

what little i could play on launch day was very fun. And its fast-paced enough that losing doesn't feel as impactful and you can focus on more fun

Liked the video, lots of good info for a Gigantic beginner like myself. I did hear you say that you can switch characters in Paladins, as far as I know you can't, unless maybe in rank which I haven't played yet in Paladins. Only gripe I have so far with Gigantic is the disconnecting a lot, I sure hope they fix this. Again thanks for the informative video!

gigantic is amazing, also if you are experiencing server issues, if you can it's better to play at night. even on day 1 when they were at their worst i was still able to consistently get into games

What's the player base like currently? I heard it's better now than it was when the game was originally released a few years back. I just hope it's easier to find a game now than it was before.
Reminds me heavily of battleborn: very similar art style and character design. Battleborn was fun but heavily overlooked due to overwatch being released at the same time. But ya..

Dang, Clash looks way more interesting and engaging than Rush did. I ended up refunding my copy of Gigantic after 5ish games and since you have to play 10 games of Rush to unlock Clash, I never knew how different they were. As a new player, I just got owned every game and I felt like the guided tutorials didn't go into enough depth for me to properly understand what was going on
This game looks super fun after watching a couple videos. I do worry it won't have longevity due to the market forcing f2p+cash cosmetics shop to be the default for multi-player titles vs one time purchase games.
I loved the visuals when I First saw the game back in 2017, but my pc couldn't run it
When I heard the game was back, I immediatly bought It, now I Just need tô convince some friends tô play it too

Contrary to your assumptions on rush. As a new player I really like it. In fact I don't really love the clash mode. I'm warming up to it admittedly, but if they had started me off in that game mode I'm not sure I wouldn't have kept playing.
