This is how the psycologist handled it though, and exactly how it should be handled. Unless What the laywer says is 100% correct you just say no and then leave him to ask follow ups. The times when he says "well yes but your saying this part wrong". No, just say no. As you say though, he got better near the end.
Bro's career took hits, his wallet has taken a hit, his pride, his ego... And he still stopped outside the court to thank the people who support him. That's a good man.
I love that Johnny didn’t lose his sense of humor. The looks on his face when Amber or her team say something stupid is priceless. Johnny has a great team and they seem like they all really care about each other. Johnny has already won in my eyes. Men can be victims too.
Because they are spinning their own narrative…and frankly they are doing a terrible job. Only thing they are good at is looking like aggressive bullies that cut everyone off. Well that and making a chair squeak. 100% nailed the squeaky chair thing.
The difference between 2 legal teams, Johnny's asked and let the witness finish his/her sentence, even let them rephrase. Amber's asked lengthy complex question, end with "correct?/is that right" , hoping to catch people offguard by the ambiguity in the words they used in the question. People can easily see who was trying to unveil the truth to the world and who was trying to cover up the lies.
There's just something so wholesome about watching people cheer for him, because he's not just a victim, he's brought joy to most people through his roles and acting. Hope he wins this trial, and may luck be on his side.

Connoley’s timing, intonation and comic timing are very Scottish traits. His last comment that Depp just wanted to say his peace, is inaccurate, as in Scots it would mean he just wanted to say his part, his words, his explanation; his statement. Another direct translation could be he just wanted to say his sandwich. Ah, the uk and the two countries divided by the same language! It doesn't really matter, Johnny's rich either way. If anything, it's about the principle, that Amber's a horrible, abusive person and has gotten away with it her whole life. It's not even about Johnny, he's just the only person her own size who can fight back. Beyond any of that, it's just a clown show. A pair of actors, acting it up and making a joke of the legal system. They even have the case in a specific state because the laws are ideal. She just fired her PR team from the bad press apparently. But at this point it dosent matter if he wins the case or loses. He's won everyone's mind and heart.
It will matter if he loses because it’s injustice to him after all he’s been through and how hard AND long he’s been fighting against these accusations. If he doesn’t win, it will just show how much more favorably women are treated in court even if they’re proven abusers. It will prove the bias people have. And I’m sure that winning this will mean a lot to him because it’ll prove to the world, not just us, just how terrible Amber is. Love how the lawyers of amber ask johnny about things that don't even have to do anything with the case. And the fact that they don't even let anyone explain anything is just hilarious!
To be fair, if you're being asked very strict questions during cross examination, you should give strict, concise answers. Cross ex isn't really where you explain further unless you're giving a clarification.

@@progamer-hy5fs having 16+ years of criminal investigations, I'll tell you that it's pretty obvious when you start asking questions. If you let people talk and the jury decide, it would have the best results. Better some guilty people walk than innocent people get locked up.
@@Dan-codes your lawyers job is to present your case as well as they can. It isn't to tell the truth. Even the truth can be skewed in such a way as to make someone appear guilty, as Amber Heard did for a long time. The idea that we should just put people on the stand and have them "tell the truth" is kind of naive considering you have "16+ years of criminal investigations". If you let people talk, they'd just lie. they ask a thousand questions for various reasons, like finding errors or holes in stories, to make the jury question the validity of the witness, etc. Lawyers exist and do what they do for a reason. "The Truth" doesnt always tell you who is innocent or guilty, and you can skew the truth. thats why both parties have representation.
I love how she calls this man an abuser and then he comes to court with skittles. Somebody needs to give Johnny a hug or just a lot of money. This man needs to live a better life.
Seeing Johnny smiling and waving when exiting courthouse makes me very happy, compared to how depressed and tired he looked during the first few days of the trial. I hope he understands that the overwhelming majority of people who follow the Depp-Heard situation sympathize with Johnny. With all the jokes, Amber's lawyers acting like fumbling idiots and fans that show up to support him in person, it seems like he's starting to come back from a very dark place. When this trial is over, I hope he gets to peacefully recover in private and hopefully start appearing in movies again, only if that's what he wants, of course. Seeing him in behind-the-scene videos gives the impression that he really enjoyed his job before Amber started the accusations and abuse.
oh man... here's a cookie as compensation for getting attacked by bots 🍪 but back to the original comment, i can also see he's having fun now in court, it was so wholesome hearing him go "it's Alpaca day" before getting into the car. i think that even if SOMEHOW (at this point) he doesn't win the case, he knows he's got the public's support
This trial has really shown what a lot of us have always suspected, Amber was jealous of Johnny so she made all of this up, Even worse she thought because she's a woman she was going to get it easy

Imagine asking someone where they're testifying from, them telling you from their home, and then asking where they live at. "Did you eat something today?" "Yes, an apple for a snack." "What kind of food was it?" "......an apple."
This whole court case is a comedic sitcom in my eyes. And this weird look that Amber has on her face every time she looks back up at the stand is hilarious. the music put to this video and watching Johnny and his team cracking up and some of the people in their seats trying not to crack up just made the whole thing funnier
Life gives you what you put out; he might be addicted to drugs and alcohol, but that doesn't change his character as a person, you can clearly see that he's a great person even with his usage issues

Only where he lives. And even than he could have phrased that question differently. You gotta show your boarding pass 20 000 times but to 20 000 different people.
The amount of times that lawyer makes a statment with "correct?" at the end which is replied to with a simple "no", throughout this trial is funny. "Mr Depp was peeing on the wall, correct?" "no". "HEARSAY!"
And with that female lawyer from earlier it was often followed up by "In fact.. You blah blah.." making it sound like they still heard them reply yes instead of no to the first question.
As a female, I am so happy to see it coming to light even more that women can be abusive too. Even if he doesn't win, the truth is coming out. The world has got to start acknowledging that men can be victims too.

The fact that johnny acted the same on and off court while amber who always looked forlorn during the trial then all smiles afterwards kinda shows who's being genuine and who's acting, convincing me more that the psychologist's diagnosis of amber was actually on point.
I think the reason Rottenborn is so irritating is specifically his usage of "I'd like you to answer my question- in fact" as if the witnesses aren't doing their best to answer and he's chastising them for not listening.
I know and the female lawyer is even worse how she'll just ignore what the response was to her last question and say "iN fAcT... You were torturing babies that night weren't you?" Like no he just said he wasn't even there that night.. just stuff like that she is intolerable.
This case highlights what a long day job it is. The lady typing really hits home as she struggles to stand each break. It's not healthy for her. At least in a normal office environment you get to stand and move, which you must do. I quit full time as an audio typist it wasn't pleasant for any of us, I got more steps in on my day off!
I know some lawyers. You have to be an excellent verbal and written communicator and the entry level jobs require very long hours. It's like becoming a doctor but easier.
When a lawyer doesn't allow a witness to fully explain their answer it just comes across as them wanting to present a certain version of events rather than the true version of events.
Thats all her side are doing though. They ask questions certain ways so they hopefully get the answer the want. Like look at how it went with the Psychology woman
Watching him enjoying himself really warms me up. I mean, considering all that has happened to him, confronting his abuser, reliving what most likely still hurts him, him smiling and even cracking up it's really nice

They dont really, the courtroom does laugh tbh but they have to keep it down. Its funny how her team is stressing and his team are just laughing throughout most of the case and enjoying it
It's pathetic that they want yes or no answers when the context and reasoning is what matters. All Depps lawyers have to do is let them ask the questions and then redirect with the context. Easy win.
This is exactly how they get people to say things and it ends up ruining somebody’s reputation. Because context matters and every single thing that you do or say
"I understand that you want to speak your own narrative here" Yeah he's the last person who should be saying that to someone when he won't even let them give their whole answer to his questions
With how much the response to his questions ends up being "yes you read that correctly" I feel like a good gift for him would be some sort of 3rd grade reading comprehension award.
Amber's legal team strategy: 1. Just be rude like Amber 2. Add "correct?" after every question hoping to manipulate or trick the witnesses to agree with you. 3. Before you hear any word come out of the witness cry for objection! I would so sue her entire legal team for witness harassment and intimidation. #justiceforjohnnydepp

Thats all her side are doing though. They ask questions certain ways so they hopefully get the answer the want. Like look at how it went with the Psychology woman
"It's alpaca day!" had me dyingggg. Always gotta love johnny depp💅
Watching him enjoying himself really warms me up.
I mean, considering all that has happened to him, confronting his abuser, reliving what most likely still hurts him, him smiling and even cracking up it's really nice
You can't break strong character. It doesn't matter how smart you think you are.
I'm so proud of Johnny Depp. He loves his fans.
A lot of actors “love” the fans
Lawyer: "Mr Connolly where are you testifying from at the moment? "
Mr Connolly: "From home.. Essex UK"
Lawyer: "and where do u live?"
Mr Connolly: *looks in confusion* "..."
He was thinking if he would give his full address to the public 🤣
LOVE THE WOMAN THAT BROUGHT THE ALPACAS HAHAHA! Bless her!
I'm impressed at how the people in the court manage to keep themselves from laughing
They dont really, the courtroom does laugh tbh but they have to keep it down. Its funny how her team is stressing and his team are just laughing throughout most of the case and enjoying it
I usually don't like loud fans like that, but them trashing Amber and the way they cheer for Johnny warms my heart
😂😆😂 I know!
It's pathetic that they want yes or no answers when the context and reasoning is what matters. All Depps lawyers have to do is let them ask the questions and then redirect with the context. Easy win.
Bro rottenborn asks if his reading is good more than askin for a answer. I can’t believe the judge the witness clearly was interupted
This is exactly how they get people to say things and it ends up ruining somebody’s reputation. Because context matters and every single thing that you do or say
The absolute ineptitude. I’m lost for words. Wow
I’m so happy how supportive everyone is of Johnny he truly needs and deserves it, wholesome man.
"I understand that you want to speak your own narrative here"
Yeah he's the last person who should be saying that to someone when he won't even let them give their whole answer to his questions
He's trying to get a reaction out of the witness to make them look incompetent.
With how much the response to his questions ends up being "yes you read that correctly" I feel like a good gift for him would be some sort of 3rd grade reading comprehension award.
@Lighthearted DarkSoul over the top
It stills bring a smile to my face, that the alpaca community supported Johnny Depp
Amber's legal team strategy:
1. Just be rude like Amber
2. Add "correct?" after every question hoping to manipulate or trick the witnesses to agree with you.
3. Before you hear any word come out of the witness cry for objection!
I would so sue her entire legal team for witness harassment and intimidation. #justiceforjohnnydepp
Just straight up facts
all i can say is that they better get some one else to rep them cuz if they self rep they are going to loose
@@nunyabizniz3439 ooooh double roasted
Cry for objection, that made me cry instead 😂
you made a comment about her legal team, correct?
did i read that right? correct?
did i correct that correct right read correct?
when you correct made read the write correct comment to correct, it was correct?
I really hope he wins. He seems to be a genuine and a nice guy. He made mistakes like everyone but not the ones he is accused of. I wanna see more movies with him and tons of apologies.
"I think jack sparrow was more drunk than Johnny Depp" that caught me 😂😂😂...
I like how when amber walked out and Johnny fans say ( go to hell, you poop face, I hate you ) but when Johnny came out they said ( we love you, we miss you, let’s win the fight). Hahah
I love how they are so terrified of completely losing control of this case that they would let the witnesses go beyond simple one sentence answers. The surest sign that you are wrong is when you won't let the other side talk.
@Liya Club yea its been here finally! For a few months now my question is when will it go away finally!
I swear Amber's lawyers are a joke. Props to everyone dealing with Amber's team😂
The funniest thing is he literally keeps repeating the question and says “stick to the question being asked” when they literally are trying to answer the question they get interrupted omg he would piss me off idk how they handle this man !!!!!
Johnny Depp certainly has better patience than me. I don't deal with people doing that. I don't like humans I know I'd lose it on that man.
@@Riley.and.Severus Yessss! I feel like that should be objected the way they are cutting him off and quite honestly it’s just disrespectful ! Like how is that just? They know exactly what they are doing ! It’s embarrassing for them the way they are trying SO HARD to make him angry! See I don’t have a temper but if you disrespect me then I feel like you have a right to go off and defend myself! However that would make him look bad even though it would be justified! It’s just so not fair… I wouldn’t be able to hold it in Johnny definitely stays cool under pressure!!! Holy shit I admire him. It seems almost badgering in a way they purposely say ‘stick to the question being asked’ and when Johnny is quite literally trying to answer that question being asked they go ‘objection hear say’ stick to the question being asked it’s been the same question the whole time but they won’t let him answer ???? What is this circus?
@@care_hopexo you clearly know nothing about court stuff because it was regular cross examination, if you start talking when the question was simply yes or no then the lawyer has a full right to cut you off and there is nothing disrespectful, it's how cross examination works, JD went beyond the scope of the question many times and that's why they cut him off as well
I actually met Johnny when I was 6 not even knowing it was him since there were a lot of Jack sparrow cosplayers one of the best moments of my life so far
“Mr. Depp was trying to urinate in the foyer, correct?”
“…….. No…….”
You could cut the sheer confusion off that response with a meat hammer
"I think I would remember if I'd seen Mr. Depp's penis."
😂 I love this guy.
AH's Lawyers: "'Old McDonald had a farm, ee-i-ee-i-O' Did I read that correctly?"
Witness:"..uh, yes but what does that have to do wit-"
AH's Lawyer: "Sir please, you've answered my question and I'll be the one to ask them so please don't waste the court's time."
Literally-
@@lilplaguedoc6682 „Objection. Please don’t waste the courts time.“
I absolutely love him. The work he does for charities and the work he’s been stopped from doing because of her. Justice for Johnny. As an abuse victim - her behaviour through this is vile!
Johnny was listening to Bob Marley on the way to the courthouse - very cool.
It is a joke how in the yankee judicial system lawyers can make tricky questions and cut off the answer just like that.
It's not like the UK's is any better. Douche.
It looks bad to a jury so it's not exactly a good way to approach witnesses.
you can do that everywhere but its just not a good look so you dont normally do that
I took a law course and apparently when you cross examine that’s the strategy. Because you are probably fishing for a mistake in their testimony. So you only ask close ended questions. When I learned about it I thought it was scummy too
@@hellobot-gy5xk I would refuse to stop talking as a witness. And if I was ordered to (by the judge) I would just reference that I had sworn an oath to tell *"the whole truth".* You're free to hold me in contempt, but I will not violate the oath.
"This is clear HERSAY, he’s not answering my question."
Then stop interrupting the witness with those stupid assumptions, that should be a good start.
but Hearsay
It doesn't work that way, the lawyer was in the right on that one
This case is the funniest shitshow ever, and I LOVE it. Johnny truly makes this unbelievably stupid case insanely entertaining. Great man.
I hope he wins this case. He'd better win.
The myth, the man, the legend: Johnny Depp (i.e. good man)
It seems like Jhonny is having a good time there XD
god, all the questions he's asking is him begging for just one word answers when the answers are never that simple and he never lets people finish
Everyone sees they are just bullies and that’s not gonna bode well with the jury, If it hasn’t already.
I wouldn’t want to give them the satisfaction of saying correct to questions they’ve worded for their own benefit either. Screw that. At that point I’d be a pain in the ass. Like when someone tries to rush me in the street and honks. Will make me go slower. 😂
Like, I WANT TO KNOW THE CONTEXT OF THE ANSWERS IN WHAT YOU’RE ASKING. Stop asking for one liners when there’s more to that!
It's a nasty tactic in my eyes because like without the context; something could sound really bad.
they're trying to stretch the narrative by taking written statements out of context and simply asking "did i read that right?" or stuff like that.
which is funny considering rottenborn is accusing the witness of trying to speak his own narrative.
If Johnny doesnt win this trial (not that he hasn't already in the eyes of the general public basically), I'll officially give up on all faith in humanity.
You had some to begin with?
As if the war in Ukraine wasn't enough hahahha
@@John_Connor556 nah that wasnt even close to , there are many war going on so yea , its isnt much special
@@weirdhuh8046 comfortably numb* 😂🤙
I absolutely love how when witnessed try to clarifie things, they cut them off. Dang it's almost like the more details you give the more credible your story is.
I'm thrilled to see Amber take the stand. You can hide a lie in a few sentences, but I doubt you can hide one in a full interrogation.
That's how lawyers work, pal, you're gonna see the same sort of witness shutdown bullshit from Depp's team once Amber starts bringing in her own. That's just how they work, their stupid little game they made in court.
0:11 you can't win against someone who the public likes
