Easily the funniest Court footage I've ever seen. I wasn't expecting the parts to keep coming but here we are 🤣 and there's more to come. I can't wait to see if you do Amber on the stand. She herself won't be funny but I bet there's some HILARIOUS shit, literally, to come when she takes the stand. It's today I think she going on the stand but she might back out yet

He knows the story and can say the no and give a bs justification because turd's lawyer wont let him speak his reason. He's technically not lying under oath as the question is can be opened to interpretation and the yes/no can thus be subjective in certain contexts.

Connoley’s timing, intonation and comic timing are very Scottish traits.
His last comment that Depp just wanted to say his peace, is inaccurate, as in Scots it would mean he just wanted to say his part, his words, his explanation; his statement.
Another direct translation could be he just wanted to say his sandwich.
Ah, the uk and the two countries divided by the same language!

Even the truth can be skewed in such a way as to make someone appear guilty, as Amber Heard did for a long time. The idea that we should just put people on the stand and have them "tell the truth" is kind of naive considering you have "16+ years of criminal investigations". If you let people talk, they'd just lie. they ask a thousand questions for various reasons, like finding errors or holes in stories, to make the jury question the validity of the witness, etc. Lawyers exist and do what they do for a reason. I took a law course and apparently when you cross examine that’s the strategy. Because you are probably fishing for a mistake in their testimony. So you only ask close ended questions. When I learned about it I thought it was scummy too

@@hellobot-gy5xk I would refuse to stop talking as a witness. And if I was ordered to (by the judge) I would just reference that I had sworn an oath to tell *"the whole truth".* You're free to hold me in contempt, but I will not violate the oath.

I wouldn’t want to give them the satisfaction of saying correct to questions they’ve worded for their own benefit either. Screw that. At that point I’d be a pain in the ass. Like when someone tries to rush me in the street and honks. Will make me go slower. 😂

they're trying to stretch the narrative by taking written statements out of context and simply asking "did i read that right?" or stuff like that.
which is funny considering rottenborn is accusing the witness of trying to speak his own narrative.

I absolutely love how when witnessed try to clarifie things, they cut them off. Dang it's almost like the more details you give the more credible your story is.
I'm thrilled to see Amber take the stand. You can hide a lie in a few sentences, but I doubt you can hide one in a full interrogation.

That's how lawyers work, pal, you're gonna see the same sort of witness shutdown bullshit from Depp's team once Amber starts bringing in her own. That's just how they work, their stupid little game they made in court.
