You are absolutely correct. He can "rock your socks off" or he can make you think about your love, your life, or whatever. It sucks that we have to get old. Hate it that he has retired, but I did see him twice on his last tour.
Being from Michigan I grew up with Bob Seger. Timeless, amazing storyteller. Quick story- as young men, he and Glenn Frey (Eagles) were at a club watching a band. Glenn thought they were good. Bob said they'd never make it. Glenn asked why. Bob said "they don't write their own songs". This stuck with Glenn.

I've had the opportunity to see Bob Seger on 5 occasions and not once have I ever left with any bit of disappointment. What you are hearing there is the same outstanding voice that you hear in concert. And the Silver Bullet Band is nothing short of great. Even after 5 times, I'd go see him tomorrow if given a chance
That's what you get with every Seger song. Except the ones that are rocking your ass off with killer sax and guitar solos, and then the harmonies and Bob's seducing vocals...equals perfect band. Love Seger. Most under rated artist in my opinion. Thanks for checking him out. Please do his cover of Little Drummer Boy. You won't regret it.
You really get Bob. So nice to see you make this musical journey. Seger is in the rock n roll and songwriter halls of fame. I have seen six of his concerts and was able to see one of his final shows in October 2019 B.C. .. before covid.
My husband and I got to see him in Nashville Jan 2019. Epic!! He rocked the stage the same as 30 years ago. My whole life has been to the beat of a Bob Seger song.

That seems to be the anthem of my life, especially in my 20s. That whole album, Against the Wind is fire. He has many, many more that you’re gonna love.
If you ask people who their favorite singer is most people cannot narrow it down to one. I can its Bob Seger. He is the best. Gotta Listen to fire lake.
One of the very few songs he didnt write himself. He didnt write Old time rock and roll either even though he does have uncredited lyrics in it...whatever that means
I recommend From Live Bullet: Travelin Man/Beautiful Loser. You must hear this version together! It’s like magic together and twins. Don’t separate them❤️

Start with Ramblin Gamblin, Rosalie and Back in ‘72. Forget about Fire Lake , Against the Wind and We’ve Got Tonight. He’s got several dozens better than those 3. If you want a good Country song by Bob, it’s Shame on the Moon. Fire Lake might be the weakest song he’s ever released....and I’m a huge Seger fan.
