Seger often hits differently as you get older.
The best part of being my age is that I have had at least 45 years years of listening to Bob Seger songs! Many of life's experiences are in those songs and this one took me back to high school, when the winds were mostly favorable. Thanks for the memories! ❤😊

My brother was 10 years older than me and always told me "Whatever you do brother, don't get old." Now at 72, I wish I would have listened to him. 😞
@@Straydogger I have three older siblings, two sisters and a brother, both my sisters passed at very young ages, I am 62 my body feels it but my brain feels young. Always remember to love yourself and cherish your memories. ❣️

The piano on this track just moves it up another notch - I don't know who plays it, but the mixed feelings that it evokes of regret and nostalgia is really beautiful.
I just looked it up myself. Paul Harris played piano and organ on this track. He passed away October of last year at the age of 78.

I love Bob Segar great artist,I have suggested Bob Segars song's "Travelin Man"/"Beautiful Loser" 2 song's done live back to back,the last time I'm suggesting it I already have about 6 time's now 🤦♂️

Bob is the real deal. Great lyricist, great song writer, great storyteller, great musician, great vocalist. The sound of a generation.
When I was a young man, I loved this song for its musical qualities. Now that I'm an old man, I love it for its lyrics. If I live another 10 years, I'm sure I'll love it equally for both.

So many great songs by Bob Seger still to be experienced! 😊 One of his best story songs you haven't done yet is "Mainstreet". Or, for some live music, try "Travelin' Man/Beautiful Loser" from the "Live Bullet" album. Anything you choose, you can't go wrong with Bob! 👍
