This is a gold mine! Thanks @Ridd, now I see the value of variables and variants in taking prototyping to the next level! You explain concepts in a way that's easy to understand (just like you do in the Figma Academy courses!), and I really appreciate this. Excited to apply these to my projects.
Ridd, you're a lifesaver! I have watched so many videos on prototyping with variables and this video is by far the best. I love how you take time to explain the concepts, details and steps! A lot of other videos about this skip over this stuff making them hard to follow and understand.
This is the best Figma tutorial I have ever followed! Thank you so much for the clarity and all the knowledge you share with us here. I learned a lot from you today.
So glad to hear it :) This is definitely one of my favorite topics. We just did a 90 min workshop last week in the cohort and I always hit end on Zoom feeling like I can run through a wall lol
This is really brilliant! I hit my subscribe button just based on this video. You did an outstanding job explaining every little detail without boring stuff or adding extra non-essential fills. Thank you! Keep up the good work
@@ridd Thx that's very tempting ! I was really interested in the certificate tho. Will think about it. What do mean in the FAQ when you say you have access to the curriculum if you purchase a seat? I do have a seat for Figma
@@fabienrousselot7460 seat is just how I refer to an enrollment 😅 I do a lot of team deals so that language carried over I guess. And I don't actually have another cohort scheduled right now. About to go heads down on a new startup for a while and will see if it makes sense to start it back up after Config :)
Thanks @Ridd this is an awesome deep dive crash course to learn Variables - Which covers when to use Bollean, Strings, Numbers and Haha Colors ! Also focuses on how to arrange and binds your variables sections to get whats needed! I am just reviewing the concepts again and again and getting better at Fundamentals ! Best Listening and Understanding comes at 0.75 speed. Sorry @Ridd but that my learing speed!

Apart from a clear dive into variables, can't get over how beautiful your presentation Figma file is!! Thanks Ridd 🙂

One of the coolest mini project I made using Variables. Amazing, thanks Ridd
you're most welcome 🙏
The best video I've watched so far on variables. I never understood how it works untill now. Thanks 👍🏽
Glad it helped!

Glad it was helpful! Lots of practice in Figma Academy live sessions 😅
Really great Video Ridd!! And excellent material to work with. When will you be having your next Advanced Figma class? I want in!
Running a little black friday offer on the self-serve course :) `BF2024` if you want in ✌️

Good stuff, Ridd. Now that I'm back in product (and not design systems so much), I'm doing more prototypes.. This is super helpful!
Great video. Super helpful. Thanks
Really outstanding instruction @Ridd. Bravo. Thank you!
This is great! I've missed some of the new Figma features over the past year, and this gave me a quick overview new cool tricks:)
Thank you! For someone transitioning from Axure this is the best video I have found.
wonderful video. Really cemented the concepts of variables. Great work. Thank you.

This video is indispensable. Thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
This was super helpful especially that checklist thank you 🤝
Super helpful and easy to follow! Thank you!!!
How do I get this into a react project? Do I need to code it or is the code itself already included in Figma? I don't quite understand it yet.
Figma is mostly a visual representation of what is in code. You're going to have to create the React portion separately.
Amazing video, thanks a lot
Glad you liked it!
This was so helpful - thanks!
Thank you very much !
