Back watching this again haha took me awhile to find it, I believe I grenaded the bevel gear on my quadmaster (same engine as the vinson autos) and was told that normally it destroys the case too. Thanks to you video it looks like the dipstick hole will get me in the right area to see it with a boroscope camera. So heres hoping the case isnt tore up or if it is, its minimal in a way that wont effect anything. Then ill I have to do is dig out the possibly hundred of gear chunks that might be left in there lol
I hope you didn't grenade your internals. When gears come apart I have seen them take out a lot of other stuff too. Good luck, let me know how it goes.
Hey Matt I’m getting ready to split the case on my Vinson gotta replace the left side case half. Could you send me a list of links to the parts/gaskets An Seals you used An any specialty tools I’ll need as well.
Is it normal that there is oil in the stator area? because above the pullcord there is an entry with an allen key and I can see that there is oil in that area, is it normal?
Matt's Shop i see... because i was fixing all the wiring because someone tried to putt turn signals a other things, i take off all the excess wiring and leave the original, but when pulling the pullcord it does not give me a spark or signs of electric charge, so I plan to check the stator, ignition coil and the starter
This one doesn't have a kickstarter. The kickstarters usually have a stop that keeps them from coming too far back and hitting the case. Maybe your kickstart mechanism was worn out?
Will the engine fit?? I have no clue. You can look up the part numbers for the frames and see the differences. You are going to need to do some welding probably lol.

Rebuilding a 2006 Vinson Auto. Videos are great!!! You're the best!!
Thanks! I try.
Algorithm made you randomly pop up in my shorts. I don’t even own an ATV but I’m intrigued. 😂
Awesome! Welcome.

Good work
I'm getting ready to tear down a basket case 2001 Suzuki Quadrunner 500. The gaskets & seals you recommend I can not find online all unavailable🧐
On the Magneto side of the engine is that supposed to have oil in it
Yes! Absolutely it helps cool the stator. It will burn it up without oil.

Yes, there is absolutely supposed to be oil in that area. That allen key plug is removed to set the timing and line up the timing marks.

What causes the kick back and case to break?
This one doesn't have a kickstarter. The kickstarters usually have a stop that keeps them from coming too far back and hitting the case. Maybe your kickstart mechanism was worn out?
What size engine is this?
500CC
Will a 2005 arctic cat H1 650 fit a 2005 arctic cat 500 ?

Anything can fit if you rig it enough. Go for it
They are very similar. Mounts are in the same places. Main thing id be concerned about is getting the driveshafts on. Did you ever do that swap?
Chipped piston skirt? That thing was abused
Did you ever find out where that shim that fell out went?
Yes, it goes on the end of the shifter drum or one of the shafts near it. It shows in the parts diagram.
This gives me so much anxiety
Why??
Is this an auto
Yea!
