- Hey y'all! Today I am finally going to show you my terrarium begonia tour and talk about the basic setup I use for my terrarium begonias. High humidity begonias don't have to be hard to grow. Because all of my terrarium begonias needed to be watered, I inadvertently gave some begonia care tips along the way! :) Always remember that everyone's house has different conditions and this is what works for me, so your mileage may vary.

Fantastic video!! Thanks so much for your pearls of wisdom. I love seeing all the various containers you use, including the last terrarium that looks kinda bare now. The whole point is to showcase that rare begonia ! When those leaves start blooming red again it will pop! You can think about adding another begonia that would look good next to it. I am having trouble with clustering too many begonias in one greenhouse cabinet. I increase risk for leaf rot. I see you have them well spaced apart.

I feel your pain. Every day I look at my plant collection and its a teetering struggle between I have way to many plants and but they aren't dying so it must be a manageable number 🌵🥰🌿. And yeah my 12 year old self definitely watched Aeon Flux and the fly in the eyelashes weirded me out a lot as a kid 😆. It was also my first experience beyond Digimon with anime style cartoons.

Love getting any Begonia care tip videos from yall! Especially when it comes to Terrarium care! I have 3 Begonias all outside, 2 are the common wax type but the 3rd will be coming in at the end of the season to see if I can keep it going. It has the most beautiful flowers that look like Rose's and it makes me so happy to look at it so I don't want to lose it. I appreciate all that you do and put into educating us Plant Hoes so we can keep our begonias as beautiful as yours! You guys rock! And I love that skull planter! It is now on my list! ✌💟🌿

Stunning begonia collection! Love that one in the skull pot! Begonias in my house don't thrive since the humidity is not that high that they like, but I still try to grow them and sometimes they die! I bought b.maculata three times( two babies and one mature which lost all the leaves upon arrival in the post, probably due to transplant shock) and all died after sometime. Anyways thanks very much for sharing your beautiful collection. I always enjoy your plant tour. Take care and happy growing.

Looove your blue nails. I had a begonia too close to my humidifier...it seems to have melted. I did have my humidifier on high. I'm not giving up on begonias...the one I list was begonia fierce woman.
Just try and keep your airflow as high as your humidity!!🙏❤️

Thanks a great video. I have a little Begonia Darthvaderiana and what I thought were polka dots were actually holes in the bigger leaf. How can I stop the leaves from melting? It's sitting in a terrarium glass jar and I never allow water to touch the leaves

Question, where can I find more about the types of Begonias, I have three that I do not know what type they are, and they are not doing well :( losing leaves like crazy, I do not water with distilled water, maybe that is part of the problem, decent medium light, maybe more light?

1) Sick skull planter OMG Darren! 💀🌱
2) It doesn't have a name, it's just a squeezie bottle! (good for stuff you need like 1000 times a day, like vanilla extract if you're a baker, let's say.)
3) the box with the kingii/iana and the melanobullata is the coolest alien looking pairing. Yes, major aeon flux vibes!
4) As far as terrarium 'styling' goes, do you ever watch serpadesign's channel? He does some super elaborate stuff, right up to vivariums and enclosures for reptiles, but his design sense is excellent.

I keep my pustulata in a room with regular humidity and it seems pretty happy. Only begonia i have in a terrarium is amphioxus and it loves it! Im super intimidated to get any more but im jealous of your beauties!

I have a reptile humidifier and then water fall in my paludarium. :) those are giving nice amount of humidity as the lid is not actually covering anything. I was trying to get air movement with some fans, but they just broke up so easily due to the humidity. So I just need to keep the Niagara Falls ambiance going.
I might venture trying out some begonias soon. Which ones would you recommend to start with? :)

I would recommend some ccane begonias to start because they are hardy and will help to break you in.... and give you confidence.👏🙏

I think I’ve had so much ventilation that I’ve never had mildew.... LOTS of fans!!😂💯
Once you have it though it may be transmitted through the air .... so research ... isolation... and ventilation 💨💨💨💨💚🙏

Is that rocks or pumice in the bottom of your Terrariums? And how do you know if they should be in a terrarium?
Usually when I’m purchasing a plant it will give specifics on humidity requirements and I know if it is above 50% that is going to require a terrarium environment.🙏❤️
It’s just rocks but I use mine as decoration and keep the begonias potted.

I've had the same Rex Begonia for 5 yrs, no special treatment, I put bark in mix, let dry out in between watering put out on patio in summer does great ,winter bring it in.
