- Busch Gardens Tampa is the premier thrill park in Florida. Owned by SeaWorld, this park features 10 different roller coasters including the newly opened Iron Gwazi and three B&Ms. But the park is about more than just the rides. It also features incredible landscaping and many animal encounters, making it one of the most well-rounded theme parks in the US!

One of my favorite parks! Iron Gwazi is probably my number one bucketlist RMC and I love Montu so much, I was surprised it was glass smooth after over 2 decades!
The top 2 now is amazing and complimentary.
Serengeti Express is awesome! It’s like Kilimanjaro Safaris without the hour lines and added views of other rides.
True!
BGW And Cedar Point's Trains Are Better
Like I said in the review, it has the best collection in Flordia. The amount of rides and coasters are outstanding. They have something for everyone. The only thing I think they are missing from the skyline is some big coaster without inversions which might sound weird but I think it's kinda off that every single big coaster here goes upside down. Maybe some just want floater or want to ride something big but don't want to go upside down. Some hyper would go great here.
I want a dark ride or indoor attraction as well.
Busch Gardens needs 3 more coasters - a B&M airtime hypercoaster like Seaworld's Mako, a gigacoaster (think Fury 325) and a compact wooden twister cloned after the Coney Island Cyclone. Now I figure what the park went through with the original Gwazi (GCI) probably left a bad taste for wooden coasters after years of costly maintenance, followed by several more years of dormancy. I rode Gwazi many times on both sides. It was a good ride, but still left a lot to be desired. And it was a HULKING structure that was an upkeep nightmare. A Cyclone sized coaster would be PERFECT for the park, and wouldn't require an area much larger than what Scorpion takes up. I just don't know how or who to get in front of to try and sell this idea. Any of these three suggestions would be a major WIN for BGT!
Phoenix has been closed for years, and they removed it from the website.
I was talking to someone who works there a couple days ago, and she told me they ordered it a new part and to look out for it opening again, which was a surprise to me.
I hope this happens! I love that ride.
Awesome!
Just visited today and it always lives up to my expectations.
Nice!
Great list of my home park coasters! I’ve done a ranking of all rides and it’s similar to yours except I hate Phoenix and it’s my least favorite ride in the park fir the restraints and uncomfortable ride.
I like the hangtime.
Sheikra is an underrated night ride. Very dark so layout really suprises you mixed with tons of +G's out of nowhere
A lot of rides here are great at night.
Yess I live in florida 🤪🤪
Nice!
Cool!
Thanks!
YOU Made this on the day I went to Busch gardens!!!!!!!!!
Nice!
After riding Twisted TImbers as my first RMC, Iron Gwazi looks even better than it did before. Twisted Timbers probably wasn't even running that fast and it still took my #1 spot.
Twisted Timbers has more elements. I prefer those on Iron Gwazi plus the speed.
Twisted Timbers was my first RMC and it blew my mind, changed how I viewed coasters. Iron Gwazi did that all over again. It is the most relentless, intense coaster I know of.
@@Durandalski Iron Gwazi looks like such an amazing ride.
I haven't ridden any new rides added after 2011 so for now my favorite ride there is Cheetah Hunt followed by Gwazi, Sheikra, Kumba, Montu, Stanley Falls Flume, Congo River Rapids, Scorpion, Sand Serpent, Tanganyika Tidal Wave (R.I.P.), Sarengeti Railway, Skyride and Python (R.I.P.).
Hopefully you can get back for the new stuff.
very cool, nice order, so cool enough that I can overlook your wonky pronunciation of Tigris ;) 👏👏
I always thought it was "Tie-gress" but I heard it said "Tig-ris" by the park.
@@CanobieCoaster well they are trolling then clearly I mean come the frick on 🤣👏
See in RCDB: Montu at Busch Gardens Tampa. I think it looks intense.
It is.
Odd observation but you seem to love giraffes. Are they your favorite animal?
Dachshunds are my favorite animal.
See in RCDB: Kumba at Busch Gardens Tampa. See the restraints, they are over-the-shoulder restraints, do you know the restraint color, and do you think they are an issue, Canobie Coaster?
They're black. The ride tracks well so it's comfortable for me.
Would be interesting to hear about your favorite family/kids coasters.
I try to highlight those in park reviews and countdowns.
B&M corkscrew
Some great ones here.
I pretty much have the same exact top 10. I’d probably have the wild mouse over the looping starship as I hate how cramped the restraints are on those flat rides. The tunnel on the train ride is headache inducing due to the echos of screaming kids
I love hangtime, which is why I like Phoenix.
@@CanobieCoaster I love hangtime as well, but I simply DESPISE the restraints on Looping Starships. The lap bars pin your legs down harder than Skyrush and T3 combined, and I never was bothered by either of those coasters. And the OTSRs squeeze all the air out of your lungs. I much prefer a Larson Superloop or Zamperla's floorless version of this ride, both of which provide a much more comfortable experience
See Sand Serpent at Busch Gardens Tampa, that Mack wild mouse was removed in 2023, but how did you compare it to other Mack wild mice to ride?
Imagine trying again those:
Ghost Chasers at Movie Park Germany
Ricochet at Carowinds
Wild Mouse at Hersheypark
Fly at Canada's Wonderland
Coast Rider at Knott's Berry Farm
Coast Rider is easily the worst of the bunch due to the shin guards. The others are/were tolerable.
This is really off topic from the video but if you are going to Seaworld Orlando during Spring Break, what would the crowd levels be like on a Tuesday/Wednesday?
I've never been during Spring Break, but crowds are usually manageable there. Their coasters are high capacity.
RMC is the best in the game, imo
Amazing
But when you rode Sand Serpent, how did you compare it to other Mack wild mouse coasters like:
Ricochet at Carowinds
Ghost Chasers at Movie Park Germany
Fly at Canada's Wonderland
Apple Zapple at Kings Dominion
Technic Coaster at Legoland California
Coast Rider at Knott's Berry Farm
Coast Rider is far worse than the others due to the shin guards.
Did you see in RCDB, Sand Serpent was closed or removed? What do you think?
Yes it was removed.
Busch Gardens Tampa:
So what would you rate Congo River Rapids?
Decent rapids
Kumba was my #1 at the park until I rode IG a month ago. I still see myself riding Kumba more due to lines of IG, but if the oppertunity is there i'll pass on Kumba for IG.
Makes sense.
Top 9 is almost identical except I’d put Kumba at 2 and Montu at 3
Understandable.
What would be in number 14 now that Pheonix is gone?
Edit: Tigris is pronounced as Tige-Ree
Serengeti Flyer recently opened, which would likely make the list.
So what would you rate Montu?
See my review.
Did Phoenix ever open back up
It has not.
Sadly it is now Defunct, was torn down in the last couple weeks
@@los0128 aww that sucks
Zadra or Iron Gwazi?
Iron Gwazi
Hold up, wasn’t maverick before cheetah hunt
Yes, that's why I specified in Florida.
BGT isn't the best park in Florida
It's the best park for coasters, but Islands is my favorite park.
@@CanobieCoaster Ahh yes I also think, that BGT has the Best coaster Line-Up
