I was upset DeLuca died but I actually feel like this is the nicest way Grey’s has ever let go of a character. Derek was a big deal and even he didn’t have a memorial. So as sad as I am about DeLuca, I really do appreciate this memorial the writers added in. Well done

@@sinanuluc5143 They did a funeral for George but we didn’t see his mother which was phony. They briefly showed Derek’s funeral and we didn’t see his mother or other sisters besides Amelia which was phony.
@@BellesView Yeah. But also I wasn't referring to just send-off scenes in the show, but I was referring to the hospital organizing something like this while they didn't do it for Omailey or Derek or anybody who left or died.

Carina broke my heart during both S19 and Grey's episodes. Her performance of loss and pain was so real. Such a fantastic actress!
I love how Maya was trying so hard to be there for Carina and even getting her to scream..... I cried so hard at both episodes.....

I have 3 from the 3 I almost lost 3 of them. Ovulation cancer, patratitis, jumps from a bridge but 3 survived. I found Andrew died n I seen Carina and Andrew clips n videos. Then I found out there is a video of my brother crash a suv then jump down from the bridge, I throw the phone and I friking out and crying.. its hurts

As a big sister, my heart just shattered for Carina. To lose your baby brother, who you’ll always see as a little boy, no matter how annoying they are, it must be gut wrenching 💔💔💔
My mom lost her second oldest sister few years ago and lost her baby sister almost a year ago she was only 24 💔😭😢
I lost my big sister four years ago. She and I were very close. We had so much in common. She died while sitting on her sofa watching tv. I was the one who walked in her house and found her body. I was numb for over a week and just wanted to be left alone. It still hurts so much I sometimes can’t stand it.
Yeaa I know, and the remember the train ride how she talked to him, and explained everything about the splitting them up. That was sad!!😭😭😭😭😭

Hahahah! She has to get at least a line or so in the series finale about witnessing all that's happened at that the hospital. Maybe mentioning the names of those who passed they were doctors there with her that she worked with. I worked with her and she is such a sweet, quiet person and she makes the scenes look real since she's a real nurse.
@@onetallpheeesh yes, they have given her a line here and there at times. She had one one day I worked with her on set back in season 8 in a scene with Patrick towards the end of the season. I don't think we'll get more than a co star role but it will probably be a few lines of someone addressing her as Bokhee and how she's been there through it all and the doctors who have passed. I feel that could happen in the series finale. Some sort of flashback or memorial to all of them who have passed. She can speak to the crowd her name is Bokhee, she's been a nurse there since so and so year, and she worked with some of the finest who have passed such as...and she'd say all their names. That's how I'd send her off.

Debateable xD I felt saddest/more hurt with George. I also think it depends, who you liked the most. Somehow many are sad about Derek but I wasn't that hurt about Derek, I was hurt when I saw the effects of his death tho :/

I will never forgive the Greys team for what they did with the character DeLuca. It was disrespectful to his storyline, to the character's fans and to the people who identified with him. He deserved more, he could have had a beautiful love story, he became a respected doctor with prizes and he gave you a voice to overcome mental health. This was unfortunate, especially in a year when our mental health was greatly affected by the pandemic.

this had be sobbing. he really did give them his best self. to everyone. never leaving amelias side, going to jail for meredith, treating her children like his own, saving jackson not knowing if he would be okay, saving all the children from trafficking, saving richards life, being arizona’s friend, he really was amazing. he was finally getting better and treating himself correctly. he deserved so much better. he deserved time in his blue scrubs.

Imagine if the trafficked survivor that came back to the hospital who also apologized to Andrew when he tried to save her, became an intern at Grey Sloan because of what he did.
I literally was sitting on my couch sobbing when I watched this last night. Ever since his first appearance DeLuca was one of my favorites and I miss him so much. I will literally be furious if the only reason they killed him was to get Mer and Hayes together.

I totally agree but Justin Chambers made a pretty sudden exit. There wasn’t much they could do at that moment. While I don’t know the story of Deluca, I think he will be on for a little bit as Teddy hallucinates and Mer is unconscious.

I don't blame the writers. Plus, so many fans saying they'd leave if they killed him... Honestly, with the end result of his storyline, I wished they just killed him, instead of that ham fisted Izzie exit. So much character development over 16 years only for him to do exactly what he said he'd never do... run out on his wife.

Did anyone else just start bawling when DeLuca started speaking or was it just me? I was sobbing like a baby! I'm still crying right now while writing this 😭😭 I don't know what it is but his death hit me harder than any other character who has died on the show. DeLuca was a hero and he deserved so much better than what he was given.

As an Italian-Canadian, it is so rare to see Italians play professionals that aren't mob-related. I was thrilled when his character was introduced. Such a loss on many levels.
Teddy is on the brink of being in a catatonic state and nobody bothered to check on her. So many characters on the show have had affairs and did their own share of bedhopping. This is so upsetting to see Teddy off by herself. People make mistakes.
Teddy kind of just showed up and caused problems for everyone.
Perspective is Reality sometimes. But she doesn't deserve this either.
Yeah Teddy screwed up big time but it’s just so sad how broken she looks and how nobody’s really there for her. I still like her despite the bad choices she’s made and I think she just needs a hand

Can we talk about Stefania's acting? she killed it this week and last week, both in Station19 and Greys.
I also love how supportive Maya was of Carina and how patient she was, the way she also gave her some space. damn their scene at the fire station when they screamed was one of my favorite scenes in both shows. Danielle and Stefania deserve more recognition
I really appreciate that Maggie is so free with her emotions and crying hard and freely and unashamedly.

This is the most beautiful and saddest scene from Grey’s in my opinion. He wasn’t even an attending for long which shows the type of person he was to have that kind of impact on everyone around him. I hope Mer gets to see the memorial video if she wakes up

With all that is happening in this world regarding mental well being, Deluca could have been a driving force when it came to to helping people with mental health issues.

I am not a fan of Deluca, but I started crying for Carina. Her grief was so well portrayed and it affected me, but when they showed him in the video I lost it completely. I didn't even sob for Derek and this made me bawl like a baby
Wish that the show had included the audio to people's comments about how Dr. Andrew DeLuca made an impact and difference in their lives. Including Andrew DeLuca's video interview for when he applied for residency at Grey Sloane Memorial Hospital into his memorial video tugged at our heartstrings and broke many of us down. 💔

This was a fantastic way for Grey Sloan to remember DeLuca. He looked up to the veterans, especially, Richard, Miranda and Meredith. Loved the relationship between Andrew and his sister Carina. Seeing Carina break down in tears shows how much Andrew meant to her.

George, Derek, Christina, Stephanie, and now Deluca... all characters that clearly Grey's Anatomy writers really loves and valued. Each one of those characters had major departures from the show and said character didn't leave without a huge impact and send off. George's death still plays a huge part in the show, over 10 seasons ago. Derek's death is obvious. Christina's spirit is still in the show, even if Sandra Oh isn't visible. Stephanie had a hero's send off with saving a little girl and killing a rapist, only to run through a wall of fire to save a life. Now Deluca...
Can we appreciate how they all saved a life before they left though. George pushing the lady out of the way. Derek saving the people in the cars. Christina saved Meredith in a way cus she wasn’t doing well at all after Derek. Stephanie saved a little girl and Andrew saved so many children
Grey's Anatomy is forever the show that likes to kill or get rid of fan favorites... Deluca had so much character growth and you could tell his character had so much more to give.

when i watched this last night it was so hard, i felt like deluca was my best friend and i had just lost him. the little snippets of carina and maya just made it so much worse and then deluca showed up for his application video and i lost it even more. never gonna forgive the writers for this.
i think out of all the deaths i’ve watch in this show i cried the hardest for andrew. he was one of my favorite characters and the memorial that they gave him broke my heart and made me so sad.
I was bawling my eyes out throughout this whole episode. But the thing that sent me the edge was this part not only carina and everyone else crying, but also the song choice was both sad and perfect for DeLuca.

He was the best character in Grey's. I haven't recovered. I still cry every bloody time I see his face or hear his name.
This memorial is very emotional and touching and I get very choked up watching it.
I only wish that we could hear what some of the other hospital staff are saying about him.

They are the Grey’s Anatomy! I learned so much from this show. I took notes all along. I have been in medical field for 49 years. There’s no shows like Grey’s Anatomy. The greatest shows I have watched.

DeLuca's death was the saddest moment that happened in Grey's. It's so heartbreaking to watch (Station 19) Carina mourn I hope writers give Maya and Carina a happy life together now that they're starting to build a family. Carina deserves so much. So writers, Hello? :) give us some relief to watch the show don't traumatized us 😂 by sudden death. Maya needs to live

Mas não tinha, eles concentraram o Andrew apenas na questão da saúde mental e ele foi maravilhoso, ele tomou responsabilidade pela própria vida, pela saúde mental. Eu chorei com a morte dele, fiquei irritada semana passada, mas hoje entendi que de fato a história dele se tornaria redundante e fariam com ele um fim bosta como fizeram com tantos personagens icônicos... a morte da lexie tão rápida e sem destaque... a morte do George... o próprio Derek... deluca morreu de forma honrosa, como alguém que era importantíssimo pra família greys. Teve um desfecho melhor do que mto personagem ali
Shonda Rhimes não está mais na série. A responsável agora é Krista Vernoff e junto com Debbie Allen decidiram encerrar seu personagem.
