Yeah, I've been waiting for it for years, if not decades. It worked kind of, you just had to use scripts and stuff, very inconvenient. Though it was clear it was needed

I have heard of a new function that when you rotate around an object that was built with perspective match in the scene, you can rotate perspective correct proportional without it looks like the objects would fly through the area I have tried it as you have always done in the past but I can not find the setting for it. Does anyone know what I mean and how to activate it ? long overdue ^^ Greetings 🎨 🍻

Well, tbh, it has always had this feature; I've used it like that like forever. They just made it easier to use.
Coz there in MAX had been all the time a lot of ways to do the same bu the other ways, tools and so on... And all of this is still there.. And some a new way for interface of working pivot .. It's not a new, just a new way for old tool
what should you do with the grid when you are done with it?
you can click it and delete it
5:46 Thank you, this reminded me of the nightmare of placing cars on angled ground. can you do a tutorial on aligning objects to the slope of the ground?
Have you used the Select and Place tool? That's how I usually place objects (right clicking on the icon brings up addition, useful tools if you weren't aware) onto angled surfaces, I just make sure Use Base As Pivot is on

I am afraid Maxon, Autodesk, Adobe etc moved all app developement to India and from that point everything takes ages. :D Nothing personal to Indians people. :D

I cannot get Working Pivots to work when animating (at the Edit Poly modifier level). I want animate (using Auto-Key) the rotating of polys about an edge yet the Working Pivots becomes disabled as soon as you press Auto-Key ......

3:00 How did you move the vertex to the same plane?
Make sure axis constraints is turned on then pick z axis and then click and drag the vertex to move and snap it to another vertex already on the plane. The vertex will only move in z axis( if z axis is selected and axis contraint is turned on).

I dont have the working pivot toolbar, is that custom made?
customise - show UI - floating toolbars. Then place wheere you like it. Or just right click on toolbar empty space on top, and select snap working pivot tools

I've always wanted Max's working pivot to be this powerful - great in concept, but always a bit flaky to the point that I rarely use it. This will help with more than a few work flows.
Last few Max updates feel to me less like flashy new tech and more solid, useful tools or fixing old tools to be more modern. I certainly hope Max continues that trend - even the improved save times have been a god send with some of the larger project files I work with

What do u think about alternatives to 3ds max? blender, cinema 4d, rhino ... sketchup. Max costs almost 2k€ per year and is not fully used for archives and what do you think about the upcoming UE5 from epic. Do u think that something will change the archiz?
I start publishing about UE5 this year, I think it's great!

3DS Max costs around $275 per year if you get the Indie version, and I think that's a pretty good deal :)

It looks like in Maya these tools are still implemented better and can be used way quicker and more efficiently :)

I don't see any dislikes, maybe some bug. UA-cam doesn't show dislikes anymore, so not sure why you see it :D
