I am ex dark blue , flew Seakings, Jet-streams and Canberras , and I consider her better than I ever was . I could feel my own stress ( recently retired after 43 years flying ) just watching this. Time for a pina colada on the beach to debrief. Well done that pilot !
There was another show called “combat Pilot“ were one of the students was 38 years old and Had been in navigator on a tornado G3 for I believe 18 years
I have the same question. I did watch this sometime in a past 3 or 4 years, either on youtube or daily motion. It seemed to be primarily focused on the second phase of fast jet training (tactics/weapons) with 208 squadron rather than basic jet with 19 squadron. But the show seemed to have vanished from any source
Falklands War (1982): Argentinean pilots flying EVERY DAY at 16 feet and 559 miles. Evading waves, sea salt stuck on the front of the cockpit (due to flying so LOW). Daily South Atlantic bad weather. Joining the danger zone with only 2 minutes over the target due to limited fuel. No radar, HUD display, early warning systems or self deffense weapons, just old 30mm neumatic cannons that usually got stuck due to the cold weather. Evading Harriers, Sidewinders missiles and the most advanced Destroyers and Frigates antircraft defense systems. A massive technological difference between both sides, but flying jets like riding a wild horse with pure instinct and balls! Results: Effectively delivering their "presents" over the British fleet. Damaging and SINKING ships (30% of the total British Task Force). There is enough material for MANY Hollywood movies. Those PIlots are the REAL Top Guns. Anyways, nice recruiting advertisement :)
And lost 23-0 in air to air combat.....and losing a third of there overall airforce .... Your soldiers were a laughing stock and your navy RAN away and hid in port .LOL
I wanted to join the Fleet Air Arm (love Harriers) back in the mid-1990s. What put me off was I shared a house with two girls; one of them had a boyfriend who graduated a year earlier. We knew each other and he joined the Royal Navy and explained their application procedure. I thought "f*ck that, I'm never getting in" so I didn't bothered applying. I couldn't apply elsewhere because I only ever wanted to do one thing so I wouldn't have been satisfied.
@@rogermorris8737 I know my limits so if there's something I know I can't do, I won't try. I'd rather dedicate my effort to things that I can knowingly accomplish but then excel at.
Unfortunately, I will disagree with you, as before only 1 country was, even they are flying the commercial plane. Have you been actually to Middle East?
Superwoman. And humble. What a combination. Destined for greatness.
Wonderful. Such skill and talent.

She is a legend, just dead jealous as it must be been such a buzz. Then again she made it look easy which it's far from. Good for you Danners!!
Legend - no. Just a trainee pilot who wasn't selected for fast jets first time round.
@@hb1338Rubbish, she wanted to be selected for the F-35B but was instead selected to fly the Eurofighter Typhoon.
@@simonbird1973 doesn't sound bad at all tbh
i've done that! Flew in a Hawk mkI at Valley in 1994. Amazing experience. The Pilot in this film is excellent.
I think I held my breath throughout that!
I wonder how old she is because I thought the maximum age to apply for a pilot is 26 and it sounds like she’s got a lot of experience
Probably different requirements for someone who’s already a pilot and changing aircraft types
To join as a pilot in the Royal Air Force is 18, degree not required but preferable.

Did u want to apply for the pilot role?
failed part one of the selection procedure - he who dares wins and he who hesitates loses. That may have saved your life

In the Middle East countries women aren’t allowed to drive cars but in places like the US and UK our women get to fly fighter jets
And command warships & be Prime Minister 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

The G forces turn their uterus into mince meat tho

I was nervous for her.
Angry jealous men with their childishness comments
What?

There’s 5 comments and none of them are jealous men😂
The only thing I’m jealous of is she gets to fly a fighter jet
Pardon?
That’s great luv but can you make sure you’re back from your sortie at half five please to make sure my dinner is on the table.
TIA.
Extremely worrying indeed that they're now flying our planes.

They??
And what part of it worries you ?

She's a very capable pilot
