That looks absolutely brilliant 👏 most of the ones we visit have been set on fire or flooded with water 💧 glad you are keeping the history of the post alive 👍
Thank you so much for bringing fond memories back of the important job we were trained to do. I don’t think that people who have never experienced the time we lived in, truly understand that that era was quite frightening. Well done for keeping the memory alive.🙏❤️🇬🇧
Lovely, really nice to see one in excellent condition. I found out recently there used to be an ROC post about half a mile from my house but sadly it was filled with concrete and bulldozed into a netball court.
@@SurvivingTheApocalypse I've seen ones in worse condition I'll upload a video soon if you're interested? It's still got the hatch but it's rusted and hasn't got any hinges the ladder is rusted too and the air filter hasn't got any vents the thing that detects the heat wave is broken but still there and I haven't been inside yet.
If its your first time in one then don’t go alone just in case! Just have someone stay above ground while you go down the ladder. If you can tell me the name of your town then I will be able to look up the history of the post for you - you can email me here : info@nibunker.co.uk.

You've done a great job there feller. Good to see some of these historically important ROC posts being saved & restored. 👍👍
Very impressive. Does look like the post crew have just popped out.
Wow it nice to see one in such good condition and what everything looked like back in the day thanks for sharing it 👍
Wow i love ROC Post, I'm waiting to have a tour of one not far from me me in Rushton Spencer Derbyshire.
It looks like this one has been built with everything in reverse.
Correct. Quite a few around the UK were built this way (nobody knows why). It doesn’t effect the operation of the post.
Theres one walking distance from my house.
What sort of condition is it in?
