I always loved Shirley and Garbage, but she totally surprised me in this show, has a natural acting talent, she made an amazing terminator!!! this show was so good so pissed off it was cancelled, and just when it got really good!!
Catherine Weaver is a great character. Shirley Manson played the part well. She was a good anti-villain. I thought that was a good twist about the character in the finale. She's actually on our side and she's building a computer to fight Skynet. Why else did she go with John to the alternate future war to go after Cromartie?
To me, the creepiest terminator ever. The coldness she shows to the child and every other human. She would kill them all if she didn't have her broader mission in mind. I miss this show. Ah, what could've been! I still went and purchased it on dvd or blu ray. I have it somewhere in my basement. I think I'll watch it again.
Summer Glau (Cameron) and Shirley Manson are the female equivalent to Arnold and Robert Patrick in Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Both performances were absolutely great and ten times better than Kristanna Loken as the "T-X" in Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines. It's a shame they nixed this show, because it was actually a decent follow-up to the first two films, unlike the sequels after T2.
so natural and convincing that I literally felt the ominous ruthless cold emotionless psyche of a terminator. And also the constant pretending of being perfectly human. Plus the look of hers... I can hardly imagine anything more evil smart and coldblooded in the same moment...
She got better when the doctor help her mom fake some emotion. But the scene where she said her lap was cold was sad too. BUT, now I think Ellison will raise her. He wanted a family, his ex wife aborted their kid without his knowledge, so this is his second chance to have a family. They deserve each other. Both have a GREAT heart!!! Her mom basically told him to take care of her when she warped.
She looks really gorgeous in real life as a normal person, not as rockstar as she's known for and we got catch glimpses of her beautiful body in the finale.
I'll go along with that...she'd be a good successor to Sean Connery. She should play a T-1001 who joins Interpol, or works for MI-6. Talk about cool, calm, and 'a license to kill... ;-)

Catherine Weaver is struggling to free her people from Skynet's grip.

I mean she could use some improv practice to sell things better but she's often the best character on the show, so really you should blame the director and the editor who doesn't cut her flat lines.

If you're judging her acting ability on 'The Sarah Connor Chronicles' then I'd argue it's a redundant exercise. She's playing a "liquid metal prototype (which)...has been unable to make convincing smiles or relate to people.." I'd like to see her play a human being before deciding.
At 4:35 she sounds like a Lifetime TV movie, but that's because the writing is shit and her T1001 stare didn't get enough camera time. Good directing and editing can usually fix "bad acting".

this show failed why graphics sucked bad acting was extremly bad the terminators act weird terminators dont play mommy and dont play hide and seek.. this is weird.. the show is weird.. crap in crap out since 2000's everything sucks in life now movies music etc they realized why try hard and make a good show and waste money etc when you can make a crappy show and if so many view it your job is done... so shows now dont even try.. they make these fly by night shows reality tv to make major profit etc and only put in 3 months work... this is why i dont watch this crap
