Hi John. Yes. It's time of a new chainsaw. My best friend ❤ the Stihl 500i. He's going to be 61yrs this year. He's very strong person. I don't like those electric chainsaw sharpeners. Because. (Not mentioning a bandsaw sharpening company.) One careless worker took about a 1/4 of each teeth off! He's used an electric bandsaw sharpener. 😱😱😱😮😮😮😡😡😡😤😤😤🤔🤔🤔Incredible! 🤬😡😠 I'll do my own chainsaw. Or bandsaw blade. I agree of those deformed logs. They're " firewood logs." You should be like Ed Horvath John? THE HARDWOOD EXPERT John? That's why go to your channel. Your expert sawyer & firewood man. I respect you to do U--Tube for us. For me. I'm learning your ways of doing your channel. Thanks John. Until the next video. 🥰😊😉👍❤️💜🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🌳
Nice job John, that big block saw really did a number on that locust even with a marginal chain. And by the way thanks for recommending White Collar, it’s a really good series… Stay safe and cool! 👍TCT
hi there broke a chain in a 22" osage orange , with a 42 " bar on a old 084 . i hit an insulator . it was like what just happened . thanks for stopping in john
Same here with the chain. I like to get all the life I can out of them. But when they get that small it reveals how I haven’t been sharpening them exactly even( some are smaller than others).
I used to have a mate that had a fake leg as a "joke" when he would start up the saw round people who didn't know him he would hit his fake leg with the saw well one day he hit the wrong one so yea now the Muppet has 2 fake legs
hi there you know me i will just go find a less used one , i do have new ones in stock but only use them as a last resort , thanks for stopping in john

hi there always glad/good to hear from you thanks for stopping in john
That chain has given you your moneys worth. Doesn’t owe you anything.
hi there you are right . makes up for some that have let me down i guess , thanks for stopping in john
At least cutting around provides heat later on while putting or putzing around gets only aggravation.
hi there glad you stopped in thanks john
O66 all the way... thanks for the video
hi there nice saw . glad you stopped in john
Hi John. Have you ever ran a 500i?
A lighter saw is nice when you have to lug it around the woods all day.
hi there i think you are most likely right .but i don't have to do that . thanks for stopping in john
I ran the chain on my old 051 the same way, as long as it’s cutten I keep it going . Never broke a chain but hav broken teeth when they get like that
hi there broke a chain in a 22" osage orange , with a 42 " bar on a old 084 . i hit an insulator . it was like what just happened . thanks for stopping in john
That fella that said the chain will break must be sharpening down instead of back😅
hi there real good point . thanks for dropping in john
Hi there I don’t like to talk about the way you cut but for s and 🙊s you could have put turtles 🐢 down front and back.
hi there some times i do and some times i get lazy . thanks for dropping in john

Nice job Mr. John. What's a new chain going to cost?
hi there you know me i will just go find a less used one , i do have new ones in stock but only use them as a last resort , thanks for stopping in john
R.I.P. old buddy chain. You should bring the chain to the Bunyan show so everyone can see it, John.
Bill

Thank you for another Great video. Cheers
I wear my chain's teeth down short like yours also. I always say, "use it up!"

That chain deserves to be on the wall. Thanks a lot.
hi there you may be right , that thing has gone threw a lot of wood . thanks for dropping in john
Hello John, good show. The 500i has all the torque needed and starts better than my old saws ever did, but i Stihl use my old 029 and 271 saws🪵👍🏼🇺🇸
