- hey all! I'm thinking I need to rename my vlogs and make this a series haha tales of an unemployed weeb... I chat a little about where I'm at in unemployment and how I've been feeling about my career until now. I also put up more of my miku nendoroids and make my monitor white to match my setup. I totally relate to the part where you said that you feel like you are stuck and everyone else has their life figured out. What helps me a lot is to think about the fact that we all have different lives. Our circumstances differ. Each of our lives is gonna look very different because we had to face different issues. Don't be so harsh on yourself. I am sure you will be able to find a solution. Look back at the last few years in your life. So many great things have happened. You have probably grown a lot as a person. Things are happening and changing. Maybe not as quick as you wish but slowly you are getting there. As an example maybe: I was finally able to move to a different country about 1,5 years ago and whenever I feel like I am behind everyone else I look back at where I was 2 years ago. Suddenly I realise how grateful I am to finally be where I am now and how many things I was already able to achieve. Compare yourself to the past self you only! :) Also I'm glad to hear that you're having so much fun making videos. Recently I discovered your channel and your videos help me relax a lot :D

Fellow unemployed here! I hope you will be getting the job that is far times better than your original job or if you are going to continue your study then I hope you can pursue it until the end and get your hands on the degree! And also as what people say- good things takes time, just like instant noodles (lol) 😊

If you don't mind, my sister was wondering what are the clothes brand you wore in the video and what stores in Japan you purchased it from? she really loves your outfits and it would mean alot if you could provide her the info :D. I have strong faith that you will get through this. Finding a job is definitely hard but you'l get there.
Hi there! My graphic tees are mostly from uniqlo. I believe the clothes I wore in this video were from yesstyle. I have a Japan fashion haul on my channel where I included the shops and addresses that I purchased those clothes from! Hope that helps. (´◡`)
Your loss of direction hit home for me. I wanted to do so many things (veterinarian, then nursing), and backing out of all of it. I went to school to get my associates, but worked being a barista for almost 8 years. Every day I felt so lost because that job didn’t allow me to move up on the ladder. I landed my current job being a lab tech for a community college by a whim (without even having a medical degree!!) and it was be the best choice I’ve made. I know in your heart you’ll find the right job at the right time! 🩷
I'm glad to hear it worked out for you! (●´□`)♡ I've always had a lot of random interests, but no real passions so it's made the career hunt difficult since I didn't care for anything I've done. I'm trying to use this time to explore some more interests and find what I really want to do. :D

Wish you the best of luck in your job hunting/courses deliberation. Also, from the sound of it, you have a supportive husband - and just maybe you can talk to your close, good friends about it.
Personally, I used to avoid my friends who I felt that they got it so I can avoid topics that serve to magnify my personal loss of direction... Only for me to later realize from them that everyone is facing uncertainties wherever the stage of life and career they are in. Infact they thought I got it.. 😅 Where I am (in Singapore), we have this saying '你看我好，我看你好' that literally translate to 'I see you good, you see me good' which resemble some sort of invisible envy or what we perceive of someone without actually knowing what is beneath. I suppose social media only further enhances that notion since we typically only post the goodness of life.
May not be my position to say this but I hope you can try to disassociate your self worth with monetary means - I feel like I can understand your basis for thinking that way and it's great (like, you have always been a capable individual, wanting to be responsible, independent etc) but it is creating a circumstance of self-blame when the actual reasons are likely to be beyond your control. Personally I always believe there is a reason for everything, the proper place, time and people.. and if it's not happening, just continue to put up the good work and move forward.
Anyhow, after all these typing, I realized it was you who had a sharing on MFC regarding Suruga-ya* refunds which had me very invested 😂
Thank you for such a meaningful comment. (╥ ᴗ ╥) You're right, we only see the good side on social media and forget that everyone has their own problems so it doesn't make sense to compare ourselves.
I also believe that everything happens for a reason so missed opportunities just mean they weren't right for you. I will keep looking forward! ( ˶ˆᗜˆ˵ )
Yes, that surugaya post was me! hahaha Thankfully, that refund fiasco is over. They recently sent me the wrong item though so it seems like it never ends with them. Surugaya和我没有缘 (I'm ABC so I think that's right, but now it sounds weird haha). 😂
