I made 1 6'6 this year inside out playmaker. First year I made something good enough to have fun while all the changes happen 😅. Every year since 2k19 its the same shit and this is the first year all my builds are just in the builder
From now on might as well start off with 80-85 accel and leave it at tht
I was going thru template builds and started wondering why all their speeds were so low, yet when i played on them they all moved fast. The only differences i noticed in regards to acceleration on all the builds were that the higher the acceleration the faster the burst out of a standstill on defense.

Accel doesn’t help wit defense, it really only helps with burst out of triple threat

In the heat of unlocking HOF Speed Booster through speed over accel, the difference would be the Blow By dropping from gold to silver. Could you please test the badge to see the difference in returns? It’d be great to know if it’s worth investing in 83 accel instead of settling for 77
Bruh this has been the case since last year. In IRL your acceleration, your first step gets you passed bye defender, while if your quick first step is slower you need to shift the defender. This is the difference between Westbrook and Kyrie
Last year was different
It felt different because most players were 6’9 you still got to the basket quickly and then limitless take off affected the game too
Last year acceleration was everything, my last pg had 96 accel 75 swb and felt faster than the one with 92 accel 90 swb. So no it wasn’t the same cuz swb didn’t matter at all

I feel a difference. I suggest everyone to try it themselves. You don’t have to create another build just create a roster and copy the same stats as the build you want to make.
That’s why they should just bring back 2k19 archetypes. So 2k can’t allow us to make builds that aren’t to they’re max potential. I don’t care because I can afford to make builds and I have a 90w and keep improving my builds. But it’s really not fair for the rest of the community who doesn’t have that luxury. Especially the younger players.
I re-made my PG (90 ovr) twice! and this game don't pay me!🤣 I can't afford to do it a third time but i'd love to trade my accel for some more dunk or defense now 😭
just made a 6’2 with 82 driving dunk, 86 three, 95 ball handle, 92 swb, 76 perimeter and 85 steal, literally moves just like my other 6’2 w 93 acceleration 😂
So accel isnt worth it? What about the blow by badge?

So proud of my day one build. I prioritized speed over acceleration when i was aiming for gold speed booster so I only put 83 accel and 86 speed cause speed this year is also your lateral quickness. Still haven't made a rebirth build I'm sticking with my very first build.

speedbooster only give you speedboost out of your first step. Is similar to quickfirst badge. According to 2k lab video, hof speedbooster give close to 8% boost vs no speedbooster compare to 93 vs 79 acceleration.

Still matters for badges and how high you want those badges, speed booster, blow by etc.
You do realize you can still get speed booster on hof and now hyperdrive on hof with a 92 speed instead of acceleration
And still have gold blow by
And, somehow speed is more affordable than acceleration letting some builds that only had an 81 steal to an 85 with the same stats on a pg that’s a big difference

I made a build with a 86 speed and 71 acceleration, I manage to stretch out a 75 perimeter and 68 interior. 90 speed with ball for kyrie, 89 three pointer and a 86 driving dunk. I recommend trying this out its actually dumb💀(6’4)
2K knows what they’re doing by announcing this when people have already made multiple builds that cost $100 each

Yaadman it’s actually only affect those certain dribble move combos or is it actually all sprinting with the ball accel doesn’t do anything if they don’t leave it like this ?
