Wizard of legend is one of my favorite games. I am terrible, but its still my favorite. My starting build is normally the Yellow double crit cloak and the vampire glasses you got. I love those things because I like the crits.

Doint sleep on fire wall it's a very good utility arcana it lasts a while it lets you rack up combos points when you stun a boss and when placed it will also block any projectiles so you can use it as a barrier in a melee build Side note the flame dash that leaves the fire trails works the same way but doesn't last as long
got the game today and mann i struggle to even reach the first boss this is also the first rogue like game ive ever played and you make it look effortless

My main build: Flame Yo-Yo OR Flame Cross(Fire Basic Attack that pierces at base and spammable, doesn't fall off at pits which is why I really like it unlike bouncing blaze), Searing Rush or Flare Rush, Blazing Vault for standard, and Signature is Tracer Barrage. Item is Vampire Glasses or Leemo's Leaf. I try to build in a crit build or raw damage build with cursed items, mostly going for a fire build with additional cards being Blazing Lariat, Homing Flares, Raging Inferno, and/or Explosive charge. Signature Tracer Barrage and Flame Cross BOTH Carried me hard in a run! It's how I beat the game for the first time! Generally I am a Fire/Air user in the game. The Earth Area(Not the boss, just in general) is my hard kryptonite with the types of builds I like to make though. I can also provide cool ideas for future builds, perhaps you want a spell with no cooldowns provided you land it? You just need Scales of Babylon and Double Toil. Cursed runs are the riskiest but most fun runs! I always try to go with curse runs XP
I just realized. If you take crimson clover and rhat relic that makes you evade all crit hit. Kinda crazy combo.and also that relic that makes you guarantee crit everytime you evade with vampire sunglasses.
They made a very stout update to the 3rd boss since this video. Give it a go now. Most people are hitting a hard wall now. I’d love to see a new run from you Mr B. 💜
Could you do a run where you speak to the guy at the end and restarts the whole run with all of your equipment? It adds a new level of stress when doing it that way lol.

Could you do some runs without the chaos dash because I am not good at the game yet and have not killed the boss so I want to see how to play the game without the really good i-frame dash
This is a one I just picked up recently as well. I missed it when it first came out. I've not played it yet, but seems like my exact kind of game. Is the combat Similar to Blade Assault? seems you have to be very warry of stuns in the same way.
I love this game, im not really good at it I grinded so much that I bought almost everything in both stores before i even beat Sura once. Even now ive only beaten him twice. He just moves too fast for me and it makes me hyper nervous.
Start out by focusing on ranged combat. Melee is tempting but punishes you a lot. Dash all the time. Dashing saves lives. When it comes to big elite enemies or tough ones you want to wait/bait their move and attack them straight away while they're recovering and dump everything on them. Once you play it for a while you get used to its unique flow. But it's very fast and has a sort of back and forth flow.
I wish they would add a tool tip to tell you what kind of damage a spell does during a run. as far as I know there's no way to see whether a spell is mele or whatever, while you're on a run.
Oof, probably not anytime soon. We finished all of that on stream but by the time third phase came out we were more or less done. I beat him 2-3 times and we wrapped things up. It's not too bad given how disgustingly OP you can make yourself.
I know of a metroidvania you'd like, cathedral it's a great metroidvania I have played it and completed it, it's an nes style metroidvania, I'd love for you to check it out, really good game.
Dash a lot. Get in the habit of making the dominant part of your combat movement, dashes. Run around freely between fights but enemies in this are very aggressive and trying to walk will get you hit. To start with learn the game with ranged spells, even if you unlock melee ones. Pick them off at a distance and respect when the Elite enemies glow yellow
@@chadikhr7258 You get the currency by doing runs. Just play and do your best, you'll gradually earn the gems you need. They're used to purchase basically all of the permanent upgrades

Wizard of Legend is a fantastic game and one of the best Roguelites imo. It's got a steady learning curve to it though and won't pull its punches.

One of my favorite runs was a summoner run. My friend and I tried to get co-op to work a while back, but it was too wonky for us to get it to work.
What do you mean? Was it too much movement for 2 characters at the same time?
