A solid adjustable weight bench is one of the most functional tools you could have in your home gym, and the REP Fitness AB-3000 is one of our favorites on the market. This FID bench features an 11-gauge steel build that can withstand up to 1,000 pounds of weight, eight back pad adjustments, and five seat pad adjustments.
This new design by REP features a handle built into the leg roller attachment for easy access, and the front foot is narrow enough to not get in the way of your feet as you lay down for a bench press. This is also a budget-friendly weight bench with a price tag of about $320. If you're building your first home gym or looking for an upgrade, we think you found your match. An easy fix for the seat gap problem is to just stuff a folded towel or blanket between the cushions.
I’m 5’-5” and don’t notice the gap. But I do like towel hack. 👍
New sub. Just ordered the bench. Great to see a young reviewer.
From what I have learned there are two people in this world. Those who will buy this class of bench or better or those who will buy a cheaper bench and buy this class of bench or better in two years.
I bought a cheaper bench at the start of the pandemic. The rep bench is coming tomorrow.
I just ordered this bench 3 years after I've been using a cheap Amazon one lol. My son who is 15 will get the old one now as he's starting to lift.
Hi, great video. But I'm wondering what the second long silver pin is used for, the one to the rear of the 6-hole foot pad carrier assembly.
Probably just an extra in case you lose the first.
You can put a pin on either side and give the foot pad some movement between the pins is my guess.
@@jasonskeel6474 Thanks, Jason. I hadn't thought of that, but it makes perfect sense!
Did you have any play with front seat when doing decline sit ups ? I notice due to the pop pin system there is some small amount of play when doing sit ups
Very minimal, the big thing for me is making sure the bolts under the seat are snug to avoid side-to-side play!
The seat is cable of being turned around to fix the gap. These benches without doubt the best for the money . I own two of their flat benches .
Huge fan of this bench! Lightweight and easy to adjust, just wish it had a closed ladder and vertical storage.
Wow I didn't know that! Do you know a video/demo that does that so I can see?
im an old big fan, ur reviews are a bit long and i think u can touch the same points with a shorter video .. keep it going
do the leg rollers get in the way, when you are doing flat bench?
Sorry for the delay! You can tuck them out of the way, but I don't ever find them to bother me. I actually find myself using them a lot when benching.
Can you do Nordic curls on the rollers
I tried, but there wasn't enough leg room!
Nope. I had to also install the narrow end of the bench to the front so that I could use the rollers comfortably doing sit-ups, etc.
Can you store it vertically?
I wouldn't suggest that since you'd probably cause the pad to wear down!
@@Barbend Well that stinks and would be a big design flaw imo
