This short, sweet piano piece is one of the easier compositions by Maurice Ravel and is one of my favourites of his. This is also the only composition of his that I can currently play! Since Ravel is my favourite composer, I hope to learn more of his works in the near future (the easier ones, at least). Even a little gem like this piece has such intriguing harmony and chords that are reminiscent of Ravel as a composer, and I think this is a great starting point for anyone wanting to look into his piano works. It is also accessible to new classical piano listeners. I prefer a slightly slower tempo for this piece, hopefully making it sound as though each new idea is as important as the last. This was my only take.
