@@Micfri300 He was bad for half the season. He definitely matched Lando in the second half of the season and grabbed himself a win purely on qualifying + race pace. It’s just disappointing compared to his lofty standards, a little like his first Renault season. I will say Tsunoda was probably the biggest flop of the season, seeing how hyped he was as an incoming rookie then getting completely obliterated across the board by Gasly.
3:10 - 5:23, my stomach was in knots from laughing....... Fernando has been unreal this year, his best performances were so fabulous, his age is just a number at that point. Shame for Daniel, but he did pick up at the end, got closer to Lando, that Monza win was so satisfying, fingers crossed for 2022. But Carlos Sainz, Driver of the f***ing Year! Running through his season, his results and his performances, saying them to my friend, I was breathless afterwards. He has done an INCREDIBLE job, especially when you look at who his teammate is. If you have someone else who you think is DOTY, I will argue with you till the middle of next week....
Driver of the Year: Carlos Sainz, He picked himself up, and Beat Leclerc in the Points. Ferrari is a pressure cooker, and he dealt with it beautifully.
Yes even though I think he had luck on his side whenever leclerc had issues ( Monaco / Hungary/ Sochi) he maximized it with podium. But still credit to him . I think this will only push leclerc further . It is great to have a teammate like Carlos who pushes you and you can’t afford to not bring your a game
It was interesting to return to your comment about the second Red Bull seat. Before the season I felt that one advantage for Perez would be that if a driver with his reputation struggles, the team would have to admit there was a problem. Sure enough, it turned out that he had made the exact same complaints about the car that Gasly and Albon had, but in his case Red Bull took it seriously and made changes. I also feel that Perez and Bottas show the real pace of their respective cars: everything Hamilton and Verstappen do above that is just them being utter racing gods on a different level.
I do have to agree - Verstappen and Hamilton are able to pull more out of their car than most drivers. With that in mind, Alonso have always been able to outperform his car, which would indicate Ocon has been severely underrated seeing what he's been able to do up against Alonso... What a time to be an F1 fan, with all these experienced driver and all the young talent on the grid, and the possibility of a total shakeup for next year.
I have to disagree with the second point. I feel like Max and Lewis are so good in both qualifying and the race, their performances are closer to the true limit of the machinery under them. Valtteri and Checo are brilliant, but both aren’t consistent enough to bring out the full potential of their cars each time. Besides, Checo lacks plenty of one lap pace and Valtteri sometimes struggle in the races.
@@charamia9402 I just got into F1 this year, my oh my what a wild ride it’s been. I really hope next year’s cars are as good as promised for overtaking, and having become a massive believer in Russell this year, Mercedes could legitimately be a source of in-fighting for the first time in so long
@@alunesh12345 God loves you unconditionally, only condition being that you worship and believe in Giovinnazi even through his Formula E career. Based. I can get behind that.
It’s easy to forget just how good Danny Ric was from 2014-2017. It took Max a fair while to become de facto number 1 at Red Bull. This year has been a huge shock but hopefully he’ll come back stronger. And let’s not forget, he’s one of the few drivers outside the Mercs and RBs where a disappointing season can include a race win.
"to be fair" if it wasn't for Bahrain's inconsistent race direction if it wasn't for Bottas' incident in Imola (and remember, no penalty to lewis for rejoining the track in a dangerous way) if it wasn't for Silverstone's ridiculous penalty to Lewis if we really want to look at every single turning point in the championship, then Max probably is the one that lost more points for either bad race direction or other's luck. If Bahrain was at the end of the season his overtake wouldn't have been considered illegal (not saying either decision was fine, simply it's a fact). In Silverstone again I'm fine with not penalizing Lewis, race incident since it was the initial laps? Fine, but if you want to penalize him, then 10 sec penalty is BS, some drivers in the past were handed 10 sec STOP & GO for way less. Not saying Lewis should have been penalized, but since he was penalized, then the penalty should have an effect both in the race as well as in the championship. "to be fair" things in the end were pretty balanced throughout the whole season, max got lucky in the end, but lewis got lucky during mid-season. It's racing, you know that a SC may come out at any point. Then either way, it was not a "creative" usage of SC, but something that's permitted by the ruling, since it's stated that the race direction has overriding authority over different rules, including the usage of SC. Just because up to this point it never happened that the SC had to be used this way, doesn't mean it's not fine.
In my opinion hamilton lost the championship because of his error in azerbaijan It was his own mistake, not bad luck or bad circumstances. If he had won that GP we wouldn't talk about the chaos in the last race. We can talk about luck an all that stuff but in the end it comes down to who makes the least mistakes and in this hamilton did one and verstappen none and that decided the championship.
Nope, if you know how to interpret english properly, race director can override the clerk's decisions for safety car. Not overriding the rules. Do you actually want a 10s penalty for a racing incident?, if max backed out of it, it would have looked like one of those first turn overtakes where max pretended lewis didnt exist and lewis had to back out.
The thing about Alonso though I don't know why anyone who watched F1 over the years would expect him to do bad on track of all the other things in the world. Man's a master of the wheel
18:57 and ‘to be fair’ if max wouldn’t have been so unlucky and if the mercs didn’t decide to crash into him 2 times max would’ve won it with a comfortable lead. I’m so glad max proved basically everyone wrong this season. It’s so satisfying re-watching these predictions knowing they’re all wrong 😂😂
Tommo, it hasn't been Giovinazzi's fault his lack of points, all the races (at least 6 where he was clearly into points and over Kimi, the team destroyed his races with tons of bad strategies and wrong calls, which is suspicious since they had decided to replace him before the start of the season already
Can you name the 6 races you're referring to? Apart from Mexico there wasn't another one. I know you want to support him cause he's Italian but the guy can't even beat a 41 year old washed up Raikkonen. He's just distinctly average.
@@areebsiddiqui758 Have you watched the season? There's no such thing as a "washed up Räikkonen". He came 3rd on overtakes in the season, only behind Alonso and Vettel. He gained more than 2 positions on average during his race starts. He scored points 4 times (although one of his points finishes was stolen from him after the race due to some safety car shenanigans). He won most battles he had on track with Fernando Alonso, who had a much stronger car. Not to mention Portugal 2020 where he schooled the entire midfield, including both Ferraris, and even got past Verstappen for 1-2 turns on the 2nd lap. Its really just Alfa Romeo's horrible strategies that cost them 8th in the constructors' championship this year. I remember multiple times during races this season where Alfa put in late 2nd pitstops for both cars and just put them on hards again when softs could've made it to the end and been alot faster. Lots of pitstops were also botched. Cars were pitted into traffic. Kimi is one of the best drivers when it comes to keeping tyres alive, pretty much on Sergio's level, and Alfa didn't even make use of that once this season. Idk, really can't blame the performance of Alfa Romeo this season on the drivers, who both did great.
@@PsychedeliKompot The overtake stat means literally nothing. It's just means that you've been qualifying poorly and make up a few places in the race. Raikkonen has been done over by Giovinazzi on the Satudays. He's lost almost all his one lap pace. He's made utterly stupid mistakes like crashing into his teammate in a straight line at Portimao or turning right into Vettel for no reason at Austria. He scored a few points here and there but there wasn't any race that he got screwed over by strategy. That was Giovinazzi. I'm sorry but Kimi is done. His retirement was long overdue. He's lost motivation and focus. His outright pace has receded over the years and he's prone to rookie errors. It's time he hung up the gloves and let some fresh young blood come though. Sure, the Alfa Romeo was nothing special but both drivers were nothing but distinctly average. Look at what George Russell has done with the Williams at times. Or Charles Leclerc in the 2018 Sauber. It's time they reset and took in a breath of fresh air. I love Kimi and he's an absolute legend but even his most diehard fans have to admit that he's only declined since 2014. He's not the same driver he used to be and it's time for him to leave.
@@areebsiddiqui758 Actually yes, he got screwed over by strategy multiple times. Also the overtakes do count, because even if it means you started further back, it also means you're actually good at making overtakes, which doesn't apply to every driver, especially with alot of tracks being quite hard to overtake on with how big these cars have gotten. Also the 2018 and 2019 Saubers were much closer to the midfield than the 2020 and 2021 Saubers were. And anyone in Alfa Romeo would tell you that Kimi hasn't lost any of his motivation. He just dislikes the media and so isn't exactly enthusiastic in their presence. In the garage thats a whole different story though. And while maybe he did make a few more mistakes this season than in previous seasons, don't forget the guy came 3rd in the drivers' standings in 2018, which isn't all that long ago, having outperformed Verstappen and Bottas. Age is just a number. Experience isn't.
Tommo logic: He doesn't like Alonso and hence Alonso would be Flop of the year. 🤦🏻♂️ I highly doubt that anyone watched F1 over the years would say a thing like that. Man's a beast behind the wheels, his skills and race craft are unmatched.
Tbh we saw how good people are at there 40s and that most of the times not impressive at all like a Schumacher or a Kimi now couldnt beat a Stroll constantly at there 40s making the call reasonable
Suggestion on next video: You would take every driver from the grid and say what was their best drive of the season and worst drive of the season(for example checo in azerbaijan was in my opinion his best drive of the season and silverstone was his worst again only in my opinion)
It would be a great video, for Checo i really rate his performance in Turkey, managing the inters played to his strenghts, but still he briliantly held Hamilton in a faster Mercedes on an interslicks battle and managed to secure the podium, Abu dhabi was similar until his DNF, but rain usually makes things better
Great vid Tommo! Just one thing: I wouldn't boil the season down to Abu Dhabi. Lewis was gifted 2 wins which Merc/he himself threw away via mistakes. As a matter of fact, he was gifted a 2nd place in Hungary after Vettel got DSQ. Not to take away from him but the safety car was the least of what affected the season IMO.
No no no no. Charles was not better than Carlos this year. Honestly Carlos was the MVP of this year. First year in a new car and beats "the future world champion"
I mean Albon did have a prior year of experience in F1 after another 2 years in F2 before, unlike Tsunoda who went straight from F4 to F1 in like 4 years
I was so pissed of pre season when everyone was writing Alonso off. I was like wtf? He's one of the best to ever do it. Clearly many people underestimate Alonso. Loved that he shut all of the haters up. My prediction for 2022? Alonso WDC.
Great job to verstappen. He was easily the better driver across the year. I know you English lads feel robbed, and he did get very lucky in the finale. But he got the short end of that stick so many times this year. Even getting punted off twice by a Mercedes, he is a well deserved champion.
I’m English but no doubt did verstappen deserve it great championship all around. The Mercedes drivers did hinder him and to me he was the clear winner. Glad he won
The biggest takeaway from this is just how disappointing Daniel's season really was. Of course he did deliver McLaren's only win this season, and in style with the 1-2 + FL, but besides that, it was basically 50/50 on whether he'd even score points. Hoping for better things from Daniel and McLaren in 2022. Also hoping for Lando's first win - It's definitely overdue after his Sochi nightmare.
By the time Daniel became comfortable with the McLaren the performance of the car dropped off as the Ferrari and even Alpine seemed faster. In the second half Daniel scored more points than Lando, and Lando also struggled in the second half. If the McLaren kept its performance up for the rest of the year I bet Daniel would have done a much better job (possibly a podium in Mexico if it weren’t for that crash).
@@bencns Nah Lando never really struggled in the second half. His second half was actually pretty decent, but just plagued with massive bad luck. The only bad race was Brazil, and was often faster than Daniel in most races still imo. Take Saudi Arabia for example.
As a Ferrari fan i hope 2022 will be another season were Ferrari & Mclaren fighting for p3 in constructor. And hopefully Leclerc, Sainz, Norris Riccardo can be up there fighting RB & Merc a bit more
18:58 You guys need to stop blaming Latifi. If it wasn't for that tire failure in Baku, Silverstone and Hungary it wouldn't have ended like that anyways. Max simply outperformed Lewis this year, more poles, more wins, both had the same amount of P2s, leaded more laps this season, more podiums (new record), just accept it.
@@sviniciusbraga Monaco wasn't even his fault, the team just couldn't get the right tire strat/choose the right tire, Baku was his mistake unlike the events I mentioned in my comment that ended up affecting Max.
Bahrain was fair play. Lewis abused track limits since it was discussed before the race started. Only when RBR complained about it did the stewards change it (and overtaking off track is always illegal). I think you meant Imola, where Hamilton got #blessed and gained like a full 2 minutes back with a perfectly timed red flag (slow lap back, FW repair, unlap himself) and was lucky to not finish far off the podium.
Crazy to think your prediction for 2021 season was my first video that I watched of yours! Really enjoyed watching this season alongside this community and having your videos to watch about areas I wouldn't know much about otherwise. Cheers for your outlook on this crazy season Tommo!
Don't be too harsh on yourself for those Constructors ordering - you were right that Ferrari and Williams would step up and Aston would fall back. I think those predictions were pretty good. Also, McLaren were favourites for 3rd most of the season.
retrospectively, I think Gasly has to take Driver of the Year, consistently punting above the teams weight - unless of course he was just showing the true potential of the car, with Yuki letting the side down till very late in the season. I think Vettel, Riccardo, Perez & Alonso all equally showed how hard it can be to change teams and adjust to a new car even when you're a veteran driver, with all 4 just getting better and better from the mid-point onwards.
Idk, I always feel that the guys at the top ultimately deserve it more. How often have we seen great midfield drivers not being able to match the top guys. Hamilton or Max are driver of the year for me.
I agree but the AT was actually really fast this year. Way clear of Alpine and good enough to challenge Ferrari and Mclaren at some tracks. Whilst Gasly has done an amazing job he's been made to look good by a massively underperforming Tsunoda.
That team rivalry prediction was on point. Carlos Sainz is once again best of the rest. Give him a Championship winning car, and let's see what he can really do.
You say because of Latifi Lewis would have been at number 1. How about Silverstone? Hungary? If it wasn't for Bottas and Lewis at those 2 races then Max would have won races ago. It's won over a season, not a race. But I enjoyed your review.
Tbh it was just a lot of mistakes of Hamilton i think the car was esailly capable of beating RB but Hamilton showing really bad performance/decisions for example trying to not pit at all in Turkey, getting out qualified by George in Spa, starting at the only driver on inters in Hungary, Monaco with bad qualification, Baku lockup.....where max was on point every race not finishing outside of top 2 in any race he finished
lmao at the Flop of the Year, I forgot you had Alonso there. But you know, after what happened at McLaren, I understand it. While I respected his immense ability, he always kinda rubbed me the wrong way. But seeing him now... what a legend. He clearly gives it his all every race, the man is a 2x champ for damn good reason. That Hungary defense to ensure Ocon's victory will be the stuff of legends I'm sure.
I think we definitely have to wait until testing for the predictions, because there could not only be a new team at the top and maybe a team like Mercedes, Red bull or Ferrari completely falling to the back
Although you can make some careful predictions already imo. The teams that built their own cars and don’t rely on parts from bigger teams are going to do better, as the customer teams won’t be able to use most old parts due to new regulations and will have to built their own car, so Merc, RB, Ferrari, McLaren and Alpine will have an advantage in that aspect over the other cars. Alfa has already been poor this year, got a rookie pay driver and little to no money for this season as the Zhou sponsorship isn’t even that high, and are my shout for new backmarkers and worst team on the grid. Ferrari will be very strong I think, as they don’t need to catch up and have all the resources they need and have always built good cars challenging for wins apart from 2020. AM spent way too much time and money on their 2021 car due to it being so incredibly shite and already said they doubt they’ll be super competitive next year all of a sudden. So you can carefully roughly predict where Teams are going to be, although for actual predictions you need to wait for testing I agree
@@TommoMcCluskey I made a comment on this already, but I think it would be great to get two prediction videos. One blindly guessing before testing and one after testing. It's more content for you and it might be pretty funny :)
@@anustart-loveeachother7680 I read somewhere that Alfa Romeo will have a full budget next year, lots of Chinese sponsors have come forward following Zhou's appointment.
Everyone thought Alonso would be a total disappointment in his comeback, but I actually believed in him. He had an accident before the starting of the season and needed a bit of more adaptation than expected, but he really got there again like if he didn't even left.
Granted Alpha Tauri are decent I think Yuki will be great next year and up there with pierre , Just like with Max last year winning at Abu Dhabi and carrying his momentum to this new season I think Yuki will do really well
That hurts. So much faith in DannyRic. And for underestimating Sainz, everyone does. Two of my favourite drivers. One had a crap season he'd probably want to forget, one had a great season.
He wasn’t that bad towards the end of the year, lando was just elite at the beginning and then the car fell off. Daniel was also plagued by issues quite a lot, just not a lucky boy. But he got his first win in years so
As a Ferrari fan your Ricciardo and mclaren predictions are hilarious. Funny enough i agreed with you. Daniel Ric in a competitive Mclaren hell yes he was gonna slap it up. But yeah I was very disappointed with his overall season. Sainz have been a surprise and a big positive for the Scuderia Ferrari.
Best driver of the year / improved driver has to be sainz, beating Leclerc on his home team in his first team and being best of the rest. For qualifying it has to be between Gasly and Russel
People can't keep saying Max got lucky in the last race when he had the tyre blowout in Baku, floor damage in Hungary and that "move" by Hamilton in Silverstone
I already comment on the prediction video of Last year that putting Fernando as flop of the year was a big big big fail in the video. Just happy once again Fernando did as always , just being at another level throught out the season....
I think fernando has a different mentality prior to when he was with mclaren. With mclaren he expected to get into a winning car and possibly win a championship. With alpine he knows that it isn't a top team.
I can't fault you for betting on Daniel Ricciardo. A lot of people, including myself, had high hopes for him. He did win at Monza, but his season all in all was underwhelming.
It’s so ridiculous to say that Verstappen only was P1 because of Latifis crash and Michael Masis decision Verstappen was the better driver for the whole season and got pushed out by Hamilton in Silverstone and this was also a “creative decison” by Masi to only give Lewis this ridiculous time penalty, wasn’t it? And also Bottas crashed into him in Hungary and he also had bad luck in Baku I only hear a Mercedes and Lewis fanboy crying about Verstappen and Red Bull were better this year
Bro but it is a fact at the end of the day had Latifi not crashed what woulkd have happened?? You max fanboys are honestly delusional... Max is a good driver and maybe even the best at the moment (hard to say cause there are others in inferior cars like leclerc, russel, lando, etc) but the fact is HAM was 11 secs clear before the Latifi shunt, had it not happened you would be crying maFIA cause of saudi and HAM would be chamo. It happened though and so MAX is champ it is what it is
I'm really look forward to seeing your 2022 predictions! I really don't know what to expect from the changes on the grid and I bet it will be very interesting to look back on your season predictions in december 2022.
You should do a normal predictions video with literally no info but just gut feeling, and then do an amended version come testing once we have some granules of info to go off of.
I was thinking the exact same thing. That would make for some very interesting viewing. If I had a successful F1 UA-cam channel I would definitely do that.
Tommo I need you to see this. I wanna make you a £50 bet mate. BET: Russell will finish p4 at the end of 2022. 1 - Hamilton 2 - Max 3 - Sainz 4 - Russell 5 - Perez
Idk about Ocon but the Ferrari call is spot on, it may not getting media attention but you know damn well DTS will spin something out of it, you dont just replace a 4 time world champ and then beat who is suppose to be team leader the first year of coming into the team, that is just quality and I think Aldas is right, if Ferrari win a WDC it'll be with Sainz and not Leclerc
I kinda understand why you agreed with Ocon as most improved (I think Ocon went from one of the worst drivers on the grid to a solid (lower-)midfield one), but Lando, Pierre, Carlos, and George still have had a bigger improvement to last season I would say.
Ocon defo wasn't one of the worst drivers on the grid? What are you on about? He was really close to Perez in the Force India and beating him over one lap. Then he had a year out cause of daddy's cash. When he came back he had to adjust to a new car and team and was up against one of the best drivers on the grid. He kept lowering the gap to Ricciardo over the season and was basically matching him by the end of it. This season he's been on par with a two time world champion and a driver known for destroying his teammates. Ocon deserves more respect for his performances this season.
Sorry bloke I ain’t giving you the team rivalry one. For me it haas to be the HAAS boys. 2 young gunners fighting over the wooden spoon and they can only race each other. Mick and Nikita came to blows and sparks flew a few times, for me Baku has to be the most notable.
@@TommoMcCluskey Of course, you know what I retract that. I think Ferrari was second most feisty, cause while Carlos and Charles did keep it clean, they were moments where it seemed they would touch.
Unlikely, RBR needed 28 points. If it was a Merc 1-3 (Hamilton wins since the crash+red flag was the only reason everybody pitted) and a RBR 2-4 they’d gain 15 points on Mercedes. Missing 13 to win on countback. Bottas would have to finish outside of the points in Hungary with Perez in 3rd.
19:00 wtf you talking about? if it wasn't for hamilton deliberately crashing verstappen in silverstone, Bottas crashing the two red bulls in Hungary, the shit pirelly tyre breaking in Baku, Verstappen would have been world champion in Brazil. But it wasn't like that, so shut your mouth dude. Verstappen drove BETTER than hamilton, end. More than double led laps, more podiums, more victories, same fast laps, more poles and with 1 engine less. Oh and i remember you that Mercedes had to change the ICE 2 times in order to keep fighting with Red bull.
Maybe they both didn’t improve at all but have been 2 of the best drivers on the grid since 2019. Can’t really argue against that since they were teammates and now both convincingly beat drivers with significantly higher reputation
Sainz did good last year and the year before so it was not really improvement he was just always good. Norris I feel like if we're talking about first half of the season then yes. But then again one could argue Norris' underperformance in the second half of the season was due to Mclaren.
Norris was only good half way through the season. After sochi he fell off and he hadn't shown anymore improvement. I also disagree with sainz because although he is good he was also really good last year. Ocon was much worse last year.

I’ll give you Ferrari as fiercest rivalry on the basis that while Haas had more bad blood, Schumacher trounced him. They’ll be the spiciest pairing next year if the Ferrari is top
I don’t think the Haas thing was that bad tho, Mazepin did that dangerous move on Mick in Baku and spun him around in Monza, but usually they were way too far apart in quali and race to have real drama, it was just starts and restarts and outlaps in quali where there was a potential for beef. I love how Alonso always proves his haters wrong

@@TommoMcCluskey well yeah, technically.
Totally agree
The McLaren has consistently been a nightmare to drive but Norris has a good hold of it, Danny’s first year taking home a race win is phenomenal
"to be fair"
if it wasn't for Bahrain's inconsistent race direction
if it wasn't for Bottas' incident in Imola (and remember, no penalty to lewis for rejoining the track in a dangerous way)
if it wasn't for Silverstone's ridiculous penalty to Lewis
if we really want to look at every single turning point in the championship, then Max probably is the one that lost more points for either bad race direction or other's luck.
"to be fair"
things in the end were pretty balanced throughout the whole season, max got lucky in the end, but lewis got lucky during mid-season.
In my opinion hamilton lost the championship because of his error in azerbaijan
It was his own mistake, not bad luck or bad circumstances. If he had won that GP we wouldn't talk about the chaos in the last race.
We can talk about luck an all that stuff but in the end it comes down to who makes the least mistakes and in this hamilton did one and verstappen none and that decided the championship.
When he said "to be fair" the first thing i did was search for an comment like this. Its so funny that lewis fans only think about the last race.
The red flag in imola also saved Hamilton from being a lap down in p7
Nope, if you know how to interpret english properly, race director can override the clerk's decisions for safety car. Not overriding the rules. Do you actually want a 10s penalty for a racing incident?, if max backed out of it, it would have looked like one of those first turn overtakes where max pretended lewis didnt exist and lewis had to back out.
@@khalidqureshi3168 He got a penalty because he was in the wrong. It is your opinion but the stewards thought otherwise...
In my opinion Schumacher and Mazepin had the fiercest rivalry, they were level on points for the entire season.
And also flawed pit stops
Do a 2022 prediction video now and then another after testing to lock in final decisions!!
Tommo logic: He doesn't like Alonso and hence Alonso would be Flop of the year. 🤦🏻♂️
I highly doubt that anyone watched F1 over the years would say a thing like that. Man's a beast behind the wheels, his skills and race craft are unmatched.
Tbh we saw how good people are at there 40s and that most of the times not impressive at all like a Schumacher or a Kimi now couldnt beat a Stroll constantly at there 40s making the call reasonable
Suggestion on next video:
You would take every driver from the grid and say what was their best drive of the season and worst drive of the season(for example checo in azerbaijan was in my opinion his best drive of the season and silverstone was his worst again only in my opinion)
I don't know. Checo's defense from Hamilton in Abu Dhabi was flawless. 💪😎
Good idea!
Nah don’t sit on the fence tell us how you really feel

Ironic how Tsunoda had a similar season to Albon in 2020: pretty poor for most of the year except the final race

Looking back at your Daniel prediction was sooo funny, even though I agreed with you at the time! I hope he has a better season next year.
retrospectively, I think Gasly has to take Driver of the Year, consistently punting above the teams weight - unless of course he was just showing the true potential of the car, with Yuki letting the side down till very late in the season.
I think Vettel, Riccardo, Perez & Alonso all equally showed how hard it can be to change teams and adjust to a new car even when you're a veteran driver, with all 4 just getting better and better from the mid-point onwards.
I think it is the latter concerning alpha tauri
Idk, I always feel that the guys at the top ultimately deserve it more. How often have we seen great midfield drivers not being able to match the top guys. Hamilton or Max are driver of the year for me.
I agree but the AT was actually really fast this year. Way clear of Alpine and good enough to challenge Ferrari and Mclaren at some tracks. Whilst Gasly has done an amazing job he's been made to look good by a massively underperforming Tsunoda.
It's either Sainz Gasly or Max for driver of the season.
Alonso podium was my bold prediction
I can't pick Doty. Carlos, Lewis, Max and Pierre have to share it imo
Great shouts
Really strong to fully show your mistakes. Most people will try to hide those at all costs. Really appreciate your style in general!
Seb was denied a P2 in a race. He would be much above otherwise
Also Baku
Tbh it was just a lot of mistakes of Hamilton i think the car was esailly capable of beating RB but Hamilton showing really bad performance/decisions for example trying to not pit at all in Turkey, getting out qualified by George in Spa, starting at the only driver on inters in Hungary, Monaco with bad qualification, Baku lockup.....where max was on point every race not finishing outside of top 2 in any race he finished
Max had the most leading lap among the sum of the other drivers and he won the most pole and podium as well. They prove everything to me
alonso’s only weak point is quali but in a race day easily one off the greatest of all time 💪💪
lmao at the Flop of the Year, I forgot you had Alonso there.
I think Haas had the fiercest rivalry. They were close to crashing a lot of times, the atmpssphere in the team wasnt great bcs of that
You are right. It flew under the radar a bit, I forgot all about them, but they had some ridiculous fights.
Actually the fiercest was Gasly vs Perez, because Gasly still thinks he's the 2nd RB seat 😂😅
I think we definitely have to wait until testing for the predictions, because there could not only be a new team at the top and maybe a team like Mercedes, Red bull or Ferrari completely falling to the back
100%

It’s so ridiculous to say that Verstappen only was P1 because of Latifis crash and Michael Masis decision
Verstappen was the better driver for the whole season and got pushed out by Hamilton in Silverstone and this was also a “creative decison” by Masi to only give Lewis this ridiculous time penalty, wasn’t it? And also Bottas crashed into him in Hungary and he also had bad luck in Baku
I only hear a Mercedes and Lewis fanboy crying about Verstappen and Red Bull were better this year
Bro but it is a fact at the end of the day had Latifi not crashed what woulkd have happened?? You max fanboys are honestly delusional... Max is a good driver and maybe even the best at the moment (hard to say cause there are others in inferior cars like leclerc, russel, lando, etc) but the fact is HAM was 11 secs clear before the Latifi shunt, had it not happened you would be crying maFIA cause of saudi and HAM would be chamo.
I've got an idea, you could do pre-test predictions, then post-test predictions for 2022.
Bold prediction for 2022: If Ferrari ends up having the best car (and I think they will) Carlos Sainz will be WDC.

I would say Sainz, but Ocon is on an Alpine though... good catch.

He also scored more points than Lando in the second half.
Tbf the McLaren luck was shocking in the second half for both drivers
How can Charles have driven better but finish behind Sainz in the same car
I’ll give you Ferrari as fiercest rivalry on the basis that while Haas had more bad blood, Schumacher trounced him.
They’ll be the spiciest pairing next year if the Ferrari is top
I don’t think the Haas thing was that bad tho, Mazepin did that dangerous move on Mick in Baku and spun him around in Monza, but usually they were way too far apart in quali and race to have real drama, it was just starts and restarts and outlaps in quali where there was a potential for beef. Also pretty sure Maz said Mick was his best friend in the paddock and invited him to Russia, so off track they seem to do just fine, despite Mazepin complaining in Interviews that Mick has a lighter chassis and mentioning him in virtually every post race/quali interview
Alonso seeing your video and your false predictions: "KARMA!!"
Well, technically Mazepin finished P21 in the championship!
"We have the right drivers in the jumbled up order"
Lad the point of the prediction is for it to not be jumbled up lmao
