Good work as usual. Cornered of course, went hard af. I'd love to hear T&T with the AJ soundfont. Or maybe some of the 3D era tracks in a trilogy era soundfont.
The serene and slightly haunting backing chords in the AJ soundfont do wonders to lift some of the more barebones tracks of the original game. Courtroom Lobby and Confess the Truth in particular are great examples of this. Also, when I saw the next song up was Cornered, I thought “I kinda doubt they’ll be able to match up to the original…” but the hand claps caught me by surprise. That was a really inspired choice. Speaking of inspired choices, I love how distinct the variation of cornered is from the standard version. I actually kind of prefer it! It feels like it’s really “no holds barred.”
Thank you! I could geek out about the use of pads and unique instruments used in AJ all day lol. I went through a lot of revision in Cornered, so I'm very glad you enjoyed it! I really wanted to recreate the drive and raunchiness of the GBA's chiptune while taking hints from AJ's Overtaken with the hand claps and filter shifting. I unfortunately could not get the variation theme up to the level of the GBA version since AJ's soundfonts are generally cleaner, but I'm glad to hear you prefer it :)
Listened to this at work today! Great arrangements, I especially love those little details in the testimony themes that reference things that are in the AJ testimony themes. These also would be super cool in the flashback scene in case 4
Thank you so much! A straight transcription of the cross examination theme sounded a little lacking in terms of sound, so it was fun adding in some pads and countermelody. The AJ testimony provided so many good ideas as well!
AJ soundfont does its magic, making songs either more haunting or more hopeful (Questioning and Objection respectively). Also that variation of cornered sounds like something deserving place in the original AJ. Good job 👏 Plans on remixing more AA tracks? I saw T&T mentioned already, but I'm kinda curious what main tracks of JFA would sound like, especially Questioned. Edit: Gotta love the typos.
