I have more on the way and a few weird discoveries I've had with some research i've been doing that I'll probably put as shorts because they dont need more than 30 seconds to explain them and more of a "oh thats neat but i'll never use this" thing.
I have Tourette's so I can have a really bad stutter at times. Its caused by a mixture of me trying to cut out the bad stuttering moments, be being so used to my wonky speech and not catching it, and this being my first time really editing video.
For acrylics Golden, liquitex, lascaux, turnner. holbein, schmincke and to some extent sennelier, old holland, derivan, and atelier(chroma). Lukas has been good so far but I cant say too much about all of their paints yet. I'm sure there are more brands but it tends to be the more premium ones that have really good color consistency. I showed golden here to show how it can even effect high end and well regarded paints and to show how there are things that even they cant fix because of pigment suppliers.
I could have made this video way longer but getting into the super specifics is really not worth it as it gets insanely complicated and I also have to discuss the quality control of each pigment which just not something I want to do as I will have a mental breakdown because its incredibly frustrating
@@RyanK2036 I wish but I am not that knowledgeable. Compared to actual experts I'm a novice at best I just have the ability to hang around them and I listen closely to what they say.
i can also give a great example for that fucking name. the dark sea blue (VMC) that paint use pbk11, and u can use a magnte to seperate that. the rest is some tinted PG7(Mainly i guess?) with some blue. amyway more green than blue.
Learning so much, love it!
Awesome video. Will it make me a better painter? Probably not. Does it give me my 'nerd insulin'? ABSOLUTELY!!!
It can at least make your army more consistent. At some point I'll do videos on how to mix colored metallics and cloning GW colors
Love these breakdowns - please continue making movies about paint :D
You summed it up well - rant, yes - but certainly an informative one and seemingly justified. I look forward to more.
Now we wait for the two videos.
Gamó
Paint science! I'm all for this!!!🎉🎉
One like! Explain pigmentation! Hahaha
Gamó... Guess I have to now
keep making these videos!

Great video, but your audio is cutting out on random 2 or 3 second intervals lol
I think it’s just his cadence of speech or how the audio was edited / clipped together maybe

@@MrPigments ah that makes sense. No worries, it doesn’t really interfere with the content.
@@kaidenggsjsjjenf I still try to mitigate it a fair bit
I noticed that with old and new mephiston red
Which paint brand do you think does the best job with consistency of paint colour?

Fascinating

@@MrPigments You could make a college lecture about all this stuff

What was that about cadmium for the air paint?
Heyoo
hi
are my headphones broken
Probably not. I have stuttering issues and try to edit it out but I miss it sometimes.
Took me about 10 hours to record this due to that factor.
