For those people new here, the primary storyline extends to the climax in the year 2042: In this year Marty retires and Andy becomes fully self actualized by building a shop with a concrete floor and heat. However, what Andy does not anticipate is that 2042 is also the year his sons start their own farming vlog.......
Trippy, your imaginary shop looks huge and it also has imaginary heat and air. Who Knew😂. Marty cam is awesome, love the facial expressions, now we need a Katie cam to go with it👍
Andy, amazing footage in this one. From the cool drone views to the awesomeness of the X9 and that bean head in full BEAST mode. Really enjoyable. Thanks so much for sharing.
Andy, you have a backhoe and a four wheel drive, have you thought about a tile plow? We can tile for about one half the cost of commercial installers. The hard part is getting time to do it.
@@aTrippyFarmer Very understandable, we didn’t get much done until older son got out of college. Try to do one field each summer after wheat harvest. Maybe you and Lenny eventually..
The handle on the head is only for maintenance that locks the flex You want it to flex on the cart if not it will ratchet up and break the straps and loose the head off the cart The other you want it out to let it rest on the cart if not it will smile on the head cart
Again with lack of available drivers seems to make it really silly to run 2 combines. I understand it's tough to get a real feel for logistics from my arm chair lol lol
Love the videos, just have a quick question. Why do you harvest the paddocks on an angle instead of running with the sow lines like we do over hear in Australia.
A lot of farmers that grow 15-20" row soybeans believe that cutting at a slight angle is superior than straight. The crop feeds better into the head, and you don't have to worry about the outside row constantly getting ran over if you aren't lined up correctly.
How do u grain cart the 2 combines with different size heads? Looks like it would be alot of running around. Trying to rack my brain to make it work with gps lol
I ain't no farmer but all of the red mapping where Katie has combined seems consistent on all of the fields. It is telling a story but i ain't hearing it. Maybe your yield is better than you think? "Shop"
The yields that I reference on fields are based on weights. The combine maps are for relative analysis. Katie's combine has some calibration issues that we can't seem to figure out, and it shows up on the mapping. Her combine is cutting better soybeans than it thinks, but that doesn't change the actual yield of the yield based on scale information.
It was a 3.5 variety that was limited this year and planned to replace the 3.4 that it is split with. I was told that they would be within a day or two of each other, but that wasn't the case. The goal was to get a good side-by-side.
X9 drawing in subscribers. Ahh yes. And the 7800 tractor. Andy... mate you can measure centres of tyres on crossings. Why on earth go to the outside of the tyres... the inside is also on the ground. @@aTrippyFarmer When my now 11 year old grandson got into the grain cart tractor with me when he was 3, the first thing he did was put the seatbelt on. He has done every time since.
@aTrippyFarmer I'm not saying your family doesn't deserve it. Just giving you a hard time because the greenhouse guys do the same thing here in canada. Does Season 42 include a grain loadout with a dryer as well?
@@ClayinSWVA
No one in Central Illinois needs a dryer, unless they want to start harvesting in mid August.
@@davedammitt7691oh really, tell Ivers farms that. They have a huge tower dryer.

Yes I've thought very hard about it. My dad and his brothers don't seem interested in doing the work, and I couldn't do it or pay for it myself.

I don’t blame him for going back and getting them few beans, that would bother me all year long lol 😂
It's amazing that a few plants can irritate you.... but you are right!

When that X9 gets into some of your high yeilding corn you are going to need a bigger grain cart. That is a good problem to have.
I hope we have good enough corn to have that problem!

You'd have to run around anyways with 2 machines. Head size doesn't really change much other than positioning when unloading!
@@aTrippyFarmer usually with 2 machines same size heads they lay off lands and go round n round following each other.

Um the second one on here lol 😆 😂
I was wondering something. You plant them in rows but you harvest them at an angle. I am assuming there is a reason but I don't know what it is.
Narrower row soybeans are easier to harvest at an angle, and many people claim that they feed into the draper better at an angle.

Marty should use his seatbelt. Glass is no protection.
