The reason why vashti disobeyed the king. Maybe it was because he was making her do something inappropriate and she had wisdom and modesty to not yo do it. So much wisdom thank you for helping me understand and go through the first chapter of Esther :) God bless
I'm looking forward to doing Bible study every morning through your videos. This was a great start for me to delve into the word of God. One insight I got from this study, is that Vashti was removed from the throne to show what a woman of God would do differently to a king who is stubborn and to a community that has strong ideas to be followed. I wouldn't blame Vashti for what she did, but that was her purpose. God has unique purposes for each and every one.
That Esther had a different name. Also, I liked how you gave the name meanings. I'm so thankful for you and how you do things by the bible. God has blessed and will keep blessing you. Thanks you don't know who you inspire. You don't do what you want you do what God wants you to do. Your so influential. I wish I took your advice but I learn the hard way. God warn me and so did my friends. Don't give up being you. I liked the Bible study this is the first one I watch. Can't wait to see how God uses you and your husband. Xoxo RACHEAL
I didn’t know that Esther had a different name and that her Jewish/Hebrew name meant myrtle which comes from a tree a beautiful tree and has significance in the Bible. My mother has two of those trees planted in her yard. Thank you for this lesson.
Where the Bible is silent, we must be silent and don't speculate. The Bible doesn't say that the king wanted Vasthy to show up naked. He wanted her to wear her royal crown, maybe meaning that she has authority.
Thank you for this message of encouragement. It gives me hope. Please pray for me. I can’t seem to catch a break lately. I am a single mother with two beautiful children that suffer from autism. I lost my job as a social worker because I declined the vaccine. I declined due to my pre existing health conditions. Lupus and heart disease. I was denied my medical/religious exemption from Forsyth hospital. Every month is a struggle to not end up homeless on the streets. Even though I’m getting food stamps it’s still not enough. I literally run out of groceries in the middle of the month. I’m embarrassed. Im in fear every day because we have nowhere to go if we do lose our home. I have no family or friends to help me. I’ve been put down and mocked over my circumstances. IM SO ASHAMED. I’m tired of crying out and asking for prayers. I want to give up but my faith in God is too strong. I will continue to have faith I know our Heavenly Father will provide for me and my children abundantly. Please pray for us. Thank you. God bless.
i wish the best of luck to you and your journey and i know god is listening. his timing is always perfect and he has a plan. prayers for you and your kids ❤
You are GODs daughter do not be ashamed for he loves you and he is all that matters❤️🙏🏻 you are on the right path keep going forward no matter what May happen just continue on, your Father in Heaven is with you always 🙏🏻YOU …CAN DO ALL THINGS… THROUGH CHRIST, WHO STRENGTHENS YOU🙏🏻 generations of your family members were created just so you could be born and your children to be born, you and your beautiful children are important you are meant to be , it is by no accident that you are here now, Deuteronomy 31:8
God bless you sweet sister. You are doing everything you can, now stand and wait on the Lord. He will fight for you, you need only to be still. The Lord who is El Roi, is the God that SEES you, He see's the single mother, remember Ishmael's mother? He saw her. He SEES you and your children. Hang on sister. He makes all things New, and He will give you years renewed, He will provide all you need, he will restore all that was broken, and give back more to you than what was stolen. ❤
A revelation I received while you were speaking about the different reasons why Vashti may have refused to go to the king was “God will make room for you.” Regardless of the reason why Vashti refused, she had to be moved out of the way so that Queen Esther could get into position. Great study!
This chapter just goes to show that everyone in life is place for a specific reason. Vashti action where ultimate in accordance to God's will, without her actions Esther life wouldn't align with his purpose.
This chapter just goes to show that everyone in life is place for a specific reason. Vashti action where ultimate in accordance to God's will, without her actions Esther life wouldn't align with his purpose.
Your channel is exactly what I have been looking for. I really want to understand the bible and all of the stories that Jesus wants us to know. I have been a Christian all of my life but as I have gotten older I am so spiritually hungry for all knowledge of Gods words. Thank you so much ❤
What you said in the beginning about Esther's name(s) was fascinating! It's very cool that her Hebrew name, Hadassah, means Myrtle. Myrtles are a symbol of love and are interesting in the light that they keep other plants from growing near them, like the love of God in our hearts prevents things from hurting us ❤
I took a few things but what’s sticking out to me most is Queen Vashti refusal.. in the word it say we are more precious than rubies right…it says she was beautiful to LOOK at but we are more than our outer appearance!!! We as women are more than a shiny nice object. Don’t show me off for my looks show me off for who I am truly am. Her refusal was major! 👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you for this. This was my first step in truly putting my faith in the lord. I prayed he would speak to me through this random book I decided to start reading and all the key points are truly speaking to me so far. I appreciate this so much. I’m a baby Christian and need to keep growing
just finished watching through your Ruth series yesterday as our sunday school just covered that story and it was incredibly encouraging doing the Bible study with your insights and teaching. just know this series will be great too - love that it's focused on another Biblical woman; would LOVE to see more series centered around women in the Bible! 💗
This morning, our pastor spoke on Ephesians 3:7-11 in which Paul says he is less than the least of all the Lord's people, but because of God's grace, even he, Paul, was able to preach the gospel. The larger theme was how God used weak, broken sinners throughout history to achieve His purpose. Hearing your introduction echoing that same theme found in Esther is encouraging. Literally anyone can spread the message of salvation. We don't have to be scholars or eloquent linguists. God uses whatever we bring. His grace is sufficient. Thank you for doing this and keep it up!
Thank you Kaci, I really enjoyed your insight on chapter 1,🙏. I am presently reading book of Esther, chapter 1,and I was really blessed by the points you highlighted. God bless ❤
I love watching your videos! The Bible puts more responsibility/judgement on those who teach and I highly respect people like yourself who step into that role! Plus you do such a great job breaking everything down. Very much appreciated and keep up the great work!
Hii❤ Just felt like showing this verse. Be strong and courages do not be discouraged or terrified for the lord you're father will be with you where ever you go.❤ Reminds me of just like to never give up.And to just know god is with you. God bless💖💖
So excited to start this study. Recently got an 8 week study of Esther called Summoned then saw this video 😊 I learned just how massive the land that ahasuerus reigned over. Wow this man was powerful
Chapter one was awesome I Love your Bible a Tufts I just turned 53 yesterday .and were never to young or to old t o learn more on the bible. Thankyou Kaci..
Hi I have just stumbled across your Chanel now after reading The book of Esther this morning I want to get deeper into the book 📖 I just want to say Thank-you for a wonderful Bible study. Lots of new insight on historical things that I wasn’t yet aware of so great stuff- I’ve really enjoyed this teaching and plan to chapter 2 with you next week. God Bless you 🕊️🥰 Xxxxx
Oh my goodness, thank you so much for this!! I’ve been really wanting to dig deeper into the Word. I tell myself that I should be reading my Bible everyday, but when I do I feel like I just don’t understand it. I was trying to look for good Bible study books to read, or maybe a podcast or something, then I thought to check UA-cam. This is EXACTLY what I was looking for!! I’m going to watch these every night after my kids go to bed! Thank you for taking the time to do this!!
kaci thankyou for providing bible studies they have helped me to atleast open up my bible even if it gets busy you are a blessing to my life and many others!
I love the book of Esther so I was excited to see your study. I looked up the names of the king’s advisors and was amazed at their names in Strong’ Concordance. These names lend a lot to the story. Check them out. Also, the six months lends to the world’s biblical time period and in the seventh day, the king looks for his bride. Very much like our God looking for a bride who will come to him in total transparency (the unmasking of the bride being like one who lifts the veil before her groom). But alas, like Israel who is not a faithful wife, Vashti is given a certificate of divorce. So the king must go to the streets to looks for his bride.
Just found this young lady and am blessed to know that she uses some of the same resources I find helpful in my studies like David Guzik’s enduring word comment and Skip Heitzig 30,000 miles high. A very sincere persona.

Hello kaci! Today I got ESV study bible , bible highlighters and mint floral bible tabs which you recommend on The daily grace co.. It's beautiful ! Your channel is one of my favorite christian channel on UA-cam ! Thank you so much ! I hope you keep uploading the video even after your adorable child is born. Haha. Esther name was star. Xerxes ruled over 127 providence. They had a wild party for 6 months which is unheard of these days. I can't wait for the next bible study!
Thank you for this message 🔥😮this is such an incredible inspirational word ! Thank you Holy spirit for leading me to what I needed to hear at this moment ! Wow ,,,, 🔥🔥🔥👑🎤
I’ve followed and study Ruth and Philippines with you and I really like the structure of your videos and how you study. I would to follow 1 and 2 Timothy with you!
I enjoyed this sooo so very much! I love listening to you, you are very engaging and it shows that you have been doing your research and know what you are talking about. Thank you for creating these videos. May God continue to speak through you and bless you. :)
I'm definitely like reading and studying my bible I heard someone say why not go live with it I would say that might bring some people back to the church just a suggestion
I always thought that Vashti’s pride led to her being demoted but I now see why she refused to show up, also I don’t think the king had the best advisers lol 😂 but look everything works for a purpose.
I love this, Before you said to share to our friends, I already had plans on sharing to whatsapp groups I'm on. Thank you Kaci(I think I'm pronouncing it wrong in my head)
I jusg found this channel today, Sunday 09/17. I loved reading the first chapter with you. I love yoour accent and would like to know if you're canadian? I was married to a canadian woman for 14vyrs. Please, i would like to know. Im looking forward to the next study time. May God bless. ❤
its always been soo good listening and finding all that which i couldn't read them... its always a blessing doing Bible study with you. thank you soo much... and one suggestion here, if this make sense. of course it is understood and accepted but instead of 'Bible study with me,', i think "Bible study with Kaci Nicole" will be much more better.
I have the revised standard catholic version so my Esther is a little different. I can follow your bible study. There is just some of the Esther in my Bible left out.
Yes, Mordecai took Esther as his own daughter when her parents died. In the Hebrew version, Esther 2:7, it says “וַיְהִי אֹמֵן אֶת־הֲדַסָּה הִיא אֶסְתֵּר בַּת־דּוֹדוֹ” which translates to “Mordecai had taken in Hadassah, that is Esther, his uncle’s daughter,” making it clear that Mordecai was her cousin.
The Name of God is actually hidden in the structure of the Hebrew text just like if I had, for example written something along the lines of “Joyously Ethiopian Soldiers Uniformed Said…” in English-all throughout the text. I learned this from David Pawson. And this was done because at the time of writing, though it was recording a joyous and victorious occasion, was actually a time when mentioning the Name of God and identifying themselves as Jews was not something to be done unless you wanted to be persecuted and even murdered. It seems that the events were passed in oral tradition for a long time before it was recorded in writing. And for those who may question the reliability of oral tradition…not even mentioning the fact that this was the way things were done, that they were used to passing things on through word of mouth, think of how many songs (Christian or not, let’s be honest) the average person has memorized. Things were learned through attaching a melody or rhythm. And, when an event is really important, aren’t we able to relay the intricate details with ease? Think of the way you met your spouse (if you’re married) or even just find a veteran serving during the Vietnamese War, for example, and see if they’re not able to describe word for word 50, 60 years after the fact, what happened. I learned this years ago but thought I’d share for those who don’t know (yet).
Great content and presentation I am so happy I came across this video. I will be binge watching your video in hopes catching up to current day videos. I read along in one of my ESV bibles (The Fire Bible ) and it sounds like the translation you read. What study bible are you reading from in this business? Thank you for answering God's calling to do this- peace and blessings!
Mine says Mordecai's uncles daughter, but Mordecai raised her from a young age. Auntie and uncle are terms of respect in the culture of today, I'm wondering if that was true for their time as well.
Fun fact- King Ahasuerus is called Xerxes in Greek. The same Xerxes who struggled against the Spartan 300 at Thermopylae. Indeed his Greek campaign began in 483 BC, and ended after his crushing defeat to Greeks at the battle of Mycale in 479 AD (which is 7 years after his reign began in 486 BC). Xerxes was humiliated and disheartened after his defeat to his smaller and scrappier neighbour, and its straight after this defeat he meets Esther and falls madly in love with her! (Chapter 2 verse 16) Basically what I’m saying is thanks to Gerard Butler we have the story of Esther. Edit- you’ve mentioned a lot of this. But I must say that unfortunately we don’t have any archaeological evidence this tale is true- many theologians look at it as a Hebrew ‘fairy tale’. We know who Xerxes wives were and many of his more powerful courtiers and officials too. There is no mention of a Haman or a queen Vashti or a Mordecai unfortunately 😢
I've already learned SO much just from chapter one! What's something you learned from this chapter?

Even for a Persian woman to appear before other men without a face covering would be something out of the ordinary.

Thank you for answering God's calling to do this- peace and blessings!
My apologies I found the ESV Study bible that you are reading from, thank you!
Yea
you should do a bible study on Nehemiah
I wish you'd tell us what time you were doing these Live so we could be on UA-cam
I had some last minute edits on this one, but going forward I will plan to have them go live at 8:30am PST 😊
Amen!
amen🙏🙏🙏
Mine says Mordecai's uncles daughter, but Mordecai raised her from a young age. Auntie and uncle are terms of respect in the culture of today, I'm wondering if that was true for their time as well.
What version do you read from ?

Hi! I know it’s an older video but thank you for this series, just starting to read Esther & this is perfect.🫡🌸🌸
(Chapter 2 verse 16)
Basically what I’m saying is thanks to Gerard Butler we have the story of Esther.
Lord 🙏 bless me I have sinned

Please tell me she didn’t just say the Bible isn’t based on true story’s but narratives.. Am I missing something?
