inspirational stuff,,well done james ,, 1 month out of cloverhill today, i was blessed with the opportunity with a place in tabor house treatment center and 6 months clean and completley determined to stay clean
I just wanted to say it’s made me cry listening to you both, I’m 22 years with my 3 kids dad his 18 years using herion methatone tablets anything he would take, he has being too 6 treatment centres and no good, his currently sleeping in his van😢I pray everyday for a miracle 🙏you guys are proof it can be done
Absolutely ❤ this podcast! Even though I have never suffered from addiction or trauma, I know others who have. I appreciate Timmy and James's humility, warmth and candor. I am a black millenial woman from the southern United States who has little in common with you all on the surface but I know the human condition binds us all together despite gender, race, and geography. Peace and wellness to you both, I sense your good will from across the Atlantic.
Amazing podcast 👌🏼👌🏼 Truly inspirational great information and fantastic perspectives that aren’t spoke about so freely which such integrity often enough
Theres credit due to anyone who can overcome this horrible disease.. I think what ye two are doing not just for the local people but even on a wider scale is priceless. Timmy, james listening to ye both I can relate on so many levels. Timmy I too went to France at 15 because there wasn't anywhere else for me to go.. we worked on the animals to bud . RIP Anthony Hennessy.. At the moment I'm in recovery from addiction and also have contacted cov19 along with my partner who's 4 months pregnant.. but from an addict to an addict I just wanted to say thanks to the both of ye ,, really yer giving suffering addicts some kind of hope. Thanks
Great podcast Lads, I never had an issue with drink or drugs or any other addictions but listening to both Timmy & James stories ye are providing a great service to the wider community and will inspire plenty of people with hope going forward. I look forward to making my way through each one. Big up lads
I worked at the farm for 10 years, then moved to Cork to work with young lads, brilliant to hear your successful story, we never really get to hear how we'll people have done. Might I add all down to your own attitude and your ability to take a chance and trust. As you so rightly pointed out, some people go into treatment for respite. Eventually, hopefully they start to believe in themselves. Keep broadcasting. You never know how many you can help James.
Many thanks Tricia, so far a lot of people have contacted us for help and we have linked them in with their local services. Hopefully they will find their way like the Farm helped me find mine.
well done listening to ye both has been inspiring.ye are doin a great job keep up the great podcasts .keep the faith lads proud to know ye personally.well done again
I can only repeat what so many have said here: Well done again lads. I'm sure these podcasts will help some people who have taken the wrong path to get their lives back together again.
Loved listening to these podcasts. Brutally honest and inspirational. Well done to you both, I’m sure ye have helped many people by doing so! Looking forward to the next one!
Congratulations on this talk I relate to what you said and you are educating those who were never in addiction which I feel is needed to erase the stigma that's attached to addiction. I tried to open an addiction centre and believe it I was granted the permission from Cork County Council and I though ohh this is great but it was opposed by people in my community and unfortunately overturned by An Bord Pennaula. I was opening my own home for this as I know we need more places of safety for people to go to get the help they need. After listening to James I dont regret the personal cost to me both financially and emotionally.I took another route after that and founded Lisheens House Suicide Prevention Charity and we offer free counselling to people in need so people in recovery use our service and those affected by Suicide and mental health. Its ordinary people make the extraordinary difference in our communities. I know people will find HOPE from listening to people life experiences like Timmy's and James. Well done
Well done mate. Our using became unsuccessful, we lost everything we thought we valued, we lived to use and used to live. I relapsed after almost a year clean. Back on buprenorphine working on recovery.ill get there but only through my own actions
Great podcasts lads the only thing stopping 99% of people is their own mindset and attitude there are so many different avenues to take in life you just have to be exposed to different lifestyles I often do hill running at the age of 40 I honestly thought I’d be the oldest out doing it in fact when I got to the car park I was near on the youngest and I meet people in their late 50s and 60s running the hills at 7 in the morning a real eye opener and these people seemed to embrace the challenge and not dwell on age or their abilities great role models on you at any age
