God bless all three of you gentlemen for doing this beautiful podcast. Your such lovely people and I wish you all a happy life. Keep up the great work!
I feel humbled and delighted that you, James and Timmy, are enabling increasing numbers in our community to understand, at a deeper level, the cultural, social, political and family histories that affect our personal and community lives. Gabor Mate's conversation brought so many truths and learnings together... thanks for spearheading this communal conversation...It would be brilliant if all our Community Action and Services Projects came together to facilitate and empower in very practical ways, personal, social and political action for change...
3 complete Gents, soft humble and surpassing any expectations with wisdom, kindness and humanity.... I am certain you are making a huge impact on lives and all positive for many many people .... #RESPECT #privilagedEtMoi ✊
Hi ya Timmy was lovely to meet you today ...Thank you so much for recommending Dr Gabor Mate podcast ...his book is on my list. Definitely the best explanation I have heard on addiction and great advice for families. I suppose some peoples traumas is more evident then others .Still struggling to understand how someone from a supported family and had a happy childhood life can end this way ...but i know as you have mentioned before that transition from primary school to secondary school can be quite traumatic for some children ...so i really think these years of childhood are hugely important and more care should be put into this schooling period. Brilliant podcast once again lads ..Huge respect 🙌
Gabor Mate is incredible. I've learned so so much from him. Listening to his talks. Listening to his books on audio. I've completely changed my understanding of so much through his work . Thrilled to see him on your podcast lads . The best in the world at what he does.
I agree with you 100%👍he is amazing at what he does. He has helped me also in many aspects of my life . It was fantastic timmy &James had him on the show👏well done guys. I'm hoping this will help many others as it did me. He also is on UA-cam with his son on the topic of ADHD with he was diagnosed with in his 50s, it's a must watch for people needing to understand ADHD 💚
@@maeve3386 Absolutely ! Thank you for reply to my comment . If I may suggest another book in the ethos of Gabor Mate it would be Johann Hari "Lost Connections". If on social media may I suggest a follow of @josh_ffw who is also a Gabor Mate influenced human with the most incredible capacity to effectively listen and engage . There is so much nutritious content creators out there . It's brilliant to see the enlightenment of consciousness and how we are wired effects our behaviours.
@@fiftylester thanks Mark👍. I will certainly follow up on your suggestions. I love Gabor and i have listened to nearly all his stuff and read few of his books. I got the book The body keeps the score on audible last night, he suggested it on the podcast and so far I like it . 💚
@@maeve3386 I've just seen your reply !! My apologies for my late reply. Hope you are enjoying the book. Fascinating stuff as always from Gabor. When I consume his content I always feel like "why isn't this more widely known" 😊
Absolutely amazing podcast Timmy and James. Have been a fan of Gabor Maté’s for several years. Incredible to hear you all talk about the shame endemic in our society causing trauma and addiction. We spoke about this ourselves. 😊 Coincidentally I read from ‘In The Realm of Hungry Ghosts’ on my show tonight. Well done again the 2 of you. ❤️❤️
Aa saved my life I've no doubt of that.ive gone to meetings for nearly 20 years.the last 5 years I was afraid to stop going cos I taught I'd end up insane.im 5 years away from meetings and finally I'm dealing with my trauma.im no different from other people.we all have bandages on our heads some are bloodier than others.yer podcasts as helped all of us ,thank ye
God bless all three of you gentlemen for doing this beautiful podcast. Your such lovely people and I wish you all a happy life. Keep up the great work!
What an amazing podcast 💥 thank you Timmy and John for all the amazing work you do. The audience for your podcasts will continue to grow and help others in years to come … well done lads
What an incredible interview, you guys rocked it 💥 Gabor for me was the missing piece in my recovery in life. Recovery is a whole web of looking at us as humans and honouring ourselves also , our trauma treated with the reverance and love it deserves. Forgiveness 🙏 brings grace 🌸 Blessings and love always to you both 💙🙏 Well done brilliant questions to 🤗
Wow! This was incredible. I've followed Dr. Gabor Mate for years now, and absolutely love his work. You both asked such insightful questions and the answers were what I really needed to hear today. This really spoke to me. Thank you both for sharing all these amazing gems with us. We are all learning so much.
I’m imagining a conversation between Gabor and John Lonergan. Another brilliant podcast lads. Wishing ye continued success- ye are making a great impact on people searching for their worth and purpose, and to those seeking to understand.
What a fantastic interview. Not just Gabor who was brilliant as always but all of you, some interviews are difficult to listen to and just don’t flow at all well but this was so natural and you all had an equal amount to contribute. Thanks so much for this...
So proud of you both. What an amazing turnaround you both have made. Overcoming any addiction is the most difficult hurdle anyone will do. You have come out on the other side of this. What a great service you offer to the public. 👍 Be proud 🥲 of yourself.
Thank you very much for this. I have been following Dr Gabor Maté's work for a while, and having another interview to listen to, is always a big big treat. Thank you again.
Trauma most definitely creates havoc with your wellbeing and all aspects of your life. Autoimmune disease is most certainly created by stress and trauma. Great talk
brilliant episode, lovely to see the interactions between ye, Gabor was lucky to have such genuine, informed & passionate men interviewing him, was lovely to watch, fairplay!
I spent 20 years going to aa.it saved my life I know that.but as I went on I used meetings to deal with drama.its only after I stopped going I've dealt with my wounds.im part of the world now.aa teaches you that your different and I'm not.we have all wounds some worse than others.
I do believe we have all bandages on our heads some a bloodier than others.today I use my body to observe pain.all my life I kept it in my head which left my head full up with negative thoughts which brought out anger and sadness. Great podcasts ye to lads are a credit to all of us who have blood on our bandages.
AA is great but I do believe for me there comes a time when you need to stop.two men meeting up 80 years ago and started aa was great for that time.but the world has moved on so much stuff out there now to keep well and not to feel so different..
The pain in your eyes kills my heart. It’s all too familiar with me as well. I pray you keep meditating and perhaps you go in a retreat with dr Gabor in peru. Just found you guys thank you.
Can you share the youtube link he talked about that would be coming up soon? The documentary...... Also, I have to comment on Timmy's input in this podcast. I've seen Gabor interviewed many times but Timmy's questions were from his higher self and they were heart-centred and as a result we got to the core answers and maybe even the core unanswers of these events surrounding trauma.....so much to be resolved trauma here in Ireland, the weight of it is above ourselves...but also within ourselves....
I'd listened to my first interview of yours yesterday after Damien had shared his chat with yea, I'm sorry I hadn't listened in sooner. As I was listening to yea chat I thought how much what yea are doing fits with Gabor's work and here is this beautiful chat! I subscribed straight after listening to yea chat to Damien and it's throwing up so much gold. Thank you all for what you're doing.

Insane society. Finally someone says it. the society blames people that they cannot adjust.
yep, all we can do is lookout for each other and have little bit more empathy.
Two men who met 80 years ago and started aa was great but the world has moved on .mindfulness is so broad today.
