1969 Pontiac Firebird Gets a New Hood. Part 1.

Scored a killer deal on an original Firebird 400 hood from a Facebook group that I’m a member of. Another member of the group posted it for sale and the price was too good to pass up. I drove 6 hours to Springfield MO to pick it up and 6 hours back home the same day just so I could have the hood I’ve been wanting for my 1968 Pontiac Firebird. I’m stoked to say the least. It's nice that the vents are open, so you can just reach in and check if anything is hitting.

You could also try to invert the air filter lid or find a flatter lid for your air cleaner then use a shorter stud.
