It's up to you. Some of the best hacks I've ever seen are open handed. Mine has always been about halfway between close and open.. I'm more of a finesse player - you can generate a lot of speed and power with a semi close hand, and that's what I prefer....but I've seen it work at a high level both ways.
FooserX Yea, correct me if I am wrong. Tony executes with close hand, and Rob Mares does with an open hand. So it seems better to get a feel first and find what works best.
@@VMFoosball Everyone is different - find which works best for you. :-) It might also be different depending on far wall vs near wall passing series....the far wall motion might be better close hand vs. open hand? The more you practice, the faster it will get, and the more your body/motion will naturally adapt...
@@EvilSam75 I Would say just start practicing first to get the timing down...and then start performing a lot of reps with the intent to make it faster and more consistent. Your body will naturally make the adjustments needed. :-)
All these hacks are illegal when playing by the rules. The changes that have been implemented stopping the ball have a coffee then hack are extremely boring. Same shot every time.
For the primary left hook, do you prefer an open-handed one or closed-handed one?

So how do you execute an open handed or semi open handed left hook? Would be awesome if you could make a short tutorial :)

Thanks X, another great tutorial
I would call these 5 bars shots rather than hacks. A hack is when someone is swinging without thinking and intentions.
Who is fooser x?
3-2-4 is a good n'

I have not kept up on any rule changes, sorry. :-)
