I am three minutes in and this is already the best drafting tutorial yet.
Wow, thanks!
This tutorial is by far the easiest to follow..a great help for beginners like me..Kudos to you Madame!❤❤❤
Glad it was helpful! You are welcome ♥♥♥♥♥
Is the back length and front length not applicable in in princess dart? Like what is done in bodice measurements.
I am happy to find your channel today. More power to your elbow.
Welcome aboard! I am so glad you are here. Amen 🙏, thank you so much.
Good tutorial, easy to follow and I have learnt something new, the •5” you came up on the under bust line, I have never seen that done before.
I would also like to ask about the length difference between the front shoulder to waist and back shoulder to waist. There is often a 1•5” - 2” difference.
Do you use a bust dart to compensate, as in standard bodices?
Thanks for this wonderful tutorial you are a good teacher
You are very welcome. Thank you for your kind words.
Hello Ma'am just wanna ask if the bust circumference is above 44" so how many inches to be put outward from that vertical line you put on the UBL?
I'm so happy for this tutorial. Very detailed.
I am glad. Thank you so much 🙏 .
Detailed and on point💯. Thank you ma. Considering the 2.5 you used at the under bust and waist line for bust 44, can I also you the same 2.5 for bust 36, 35 and 33 or I should use 1.5 or 2??? @remi fashion
You are welcome. Thank you so much. For bust sizes 32 to 35, use 1.5" and bust sizes 36 to 40, use 2" and then use 2.5" for 41" and above.
Wow you explained so well... This is the best pattern drafting tutorial I have seen

Thank you ma, you are the best, please I want to confirm if the 1-inch shoulder slant /slop is for all body measurements. Thank you.
You are welcome. Thank you so much. The 1 inch shoulder slant varies depending on the body structure. Thank you for watching.
Excellent instruction! Looking forward to creating it!
Thank you so much. Please tag me on instagram (@remisfashion17) when you create it. God bless.
I love watching ur tutorials, I notice that u used 18 inches for both front and back half length, both shud not be same, right?
Thank you so much. It depends on the person’s measurements and the method you are using. Thank you.
the diff bw my back n front is 6inches, so how do I apply it to princess dart
pls I'd like to know why u sloped d front shoulder with 1.5inches on ur basic bodies but u did 1inches here.
It all depends on the style you are making and the fit you are aiming for.
Ma. Can I use Bust point line instead of Bust line
And there is different type of princess darts armhole and shoulder princess dart which one is this ma....thanks answer me
The bust point is on the bust line.
@@RemisFashion I really appreciate you ma
Thank you for your kind words
Thank you for this. Excellent
You are welcome. Thanlk you.
Good Morning how do you make allowance for the difference between the back length and front? I always have to use the bust side dart once in drafting to my waist only.
You will account for the difference by using that figure to draft a bust dart. By the time you close the dart, the front and the back will be the same length. Hope this answers your question.
Hello sister since I known your channel I’m learning a lot 🙏🙏.but I have a question I noticed you didn’t go one inch on bust point to make the dart, does is depends on a size
I’m so glad. Thank you for watching.
Thanks u for this, please how many inch is to take for d zipper Burges
You are very welcome 🤗. You can use half an inch.
Really detailed tutoring, thank you ma'am. Kindly make one on off-shoulder princess dart.
Thank you, you are welcome. Ok, I will add it to the list of things to do. Thank you for watching.
Thanks for sharing. U are the best
You are welcome. Awwww, thank you, that is so sweet.
Good evening ma. Please is this princess dart bustier or just normal princess dart
Good Evening ma’am, it is princess dart bustier.
Hello ma. I noticed you didn’t add seam allowance on the armholes for joining or hemming. Why?
There is no particular reason. If I don't add sewing allowance when drafting, I will usually add it to my fabric when cutting, just like I did in the Corset tutorial. You can do which ever way you prefer. Thank you for watching.
Just subscribed..... Nice and well explained videos. Keep it up sis
Thank you so much. I really appreciate.
Thank you. You've done a great job.
You are welcome. Thank you very much.
I like how teach sewing but I want a video on cutting clothes as a beginner. Thanks
Thank you. I have a few sewing videos o the channel. Is there a particular video you will like to see me create?
Wooooow
Thank youuuu soooo much ma for this video. I understood it better ♥️
So eager to make mine💃💃
I am so glad you do. You are very welcome. Please tag me on instagram @remisfashion17 when you make yours.
My able teacher please I use have problem with this ,why did you connect the first 2half inches you borrowed to get cup straight to the arm hole and the one you borrowed from the up to the same arm hole
I don't really understand your question. Pls reframe the question.
It was really helpful
I am so glad it was helpful. Thank you for watching.
Hey do you have any video of garment construction using this pattern?
No I do not have any yet, but I can record a video if you want one.
@@RemisFashion please please record one…it would be soo helpful…i already made this pattern ready…just waiting for garment video❤️❤️
I will add it on my to do list. Wow, that is great, I will get it done as soon as I can. Thank you for watching.
@@RemisFashion thankyou so muchhh
You are very welcome.❤️❤️
ma, my burst measurement is 8.7, I have issues with the new armhole, my bust round is not up to the armhole
Is this measurement the vertical measurement?
Hello, OK have got u why u divide by 6 good teacher👏
Ok, I am glad you have gotten it. Thank you.
hello, I just watched your video on basic bodice and you use 1.5 inch at the shoulder slope for the center front. Is there a reason why you used 1 inch here instead. reference -3.19 min
Hello, sometimes it depends on what you are making, you can either use 1’ or 1.5” depending on how you want your top to be and it also depends on who you are making it for. Body sizes/measurements are different.
@@RemisFashion okay. thank you so much. I found your tutorials supper helpful
@@RemisFashion I have another question pls. For the CF, when cutting on our fabric do we need to add allowance to the dart area and arm hole? I remember we added 0.5 inch to the bust span after we divided by 2
You are very welcome. I am so glad. Thank you.
Only add sewing allowance to the fabric if you have not added it to the pattern.. I hope this answers your question.
Good afternoon ma, do I have to add another allowance on my fabric when I'm using the pattern paper to cut?
Good Evening, once you have added all your sewing allowances on your patterns then you don't need to add another allowance on your fabric. Only add to your fabric if when you drafted your pattern, you did not add sewing allowance. Thank you for watching.
شكرا علي الشرح الرائع
You are very welcome
My problem is that after cutting it like u said, when joining it I always realise that the front is shorter than the back, how do I fix that
Thank you for watching. When taking your measurements, also take your back length measurement. Most times the back is shorter than the front, that could be the issue you are having. Watch my video on "How to take accurate Body Measurement" and then apply. Let me know how you got on.
How did you come about the dart because I am confused
You use your bust span measurement for it, that is nipple to nipple.
God bless u ma'am
Amen. Thank you. God bless you too.
Pls ma how do I divide my under burst
Take your round under bust measurement then divide it by 4.
Thank you
You are very welcome
Hello. Thanks for the video, but I’ll like to ask this. I notice u didn’t not replace the 1inch dart allowance you removed on the Arm Hole to form the princess that. Won’t that affect the measurements of the arm hole and make it short and tight?
You are welcome. I extended the armhole by 1" upwards to avoid shortage when connecting the panels together, you do not need to add another 1" again.
This woman is loaded
Awwww, thank you so much. Thank you for watching. God bless.
Very helpful 🫡❤️
Glad it was helpful! ❤️🥰
