  • The recipe for these Cream Cheese Buns Rahkapulla (Vatrushka) the Finnish way is available here www.inthekitch...
    Hi darlings, there are some recipes that make me specially proud and these are usually those that I have been struggling to find a good recipe for for a long time and then I just decide to make it myself and it works out wonders 🙌 That is also the case of these cream cheese buns or Rahkapulla, like they are called in Finland. I know there are also similar recipes in other countries, the best I know of is the Russian version called Vatrushka. However, I am making it the Finnish way and adding the "secret" ingredient that all Finnish buns have and that is cardamom😊 The cardamom in this recipe is in no way overpowering, but rather there is just that hint of cardamom which gives these buns a lovely scent and flavour. I can tell you it is true pleasure to bite into these super soft buns with that creamy cheesecake filling😋 When you try this recipe, let me know below in the comments your thoughts on these pillowy pieces of heaven😋 Happy Baking lovelys!💖

    Paivaa!! I was raised eating pulla and have been making it for many years. Up until now I have only made cinnamon rolls, but this is what I am looking for! I added dried blueberries instead of raisins.

      Hi Patrick, happy to hear that and I love the idea with blueberries😊👍🏼 I will try that next time I make these.

    Australians are using cinnamon in nearly everything, what I don't like, I have to make then, I love Quark

      Hi there, really? Didn't know that! I love cinnamon though, so wouldn't mind that🤭 But there are a lot of other options as well and I hope you are going to love these cream cheese buns😊 Also if you like this kind of buns, but not cinnamon, you can make similar buns to cinnamon buns, but with a chocolate cream in them🤤 Just an idea😊

    Wow, those are so gorgeous! I know how disruptive doing hosted videos can be. But it's very nice to see your face on camera. 😊 I'm making Hawaiian Sweet Bread, which is another very, very soft dough. I cant wait to give these a try. 💙💚 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

      Thank you so much dear Laurice! :) Yes, the problem is that I need someone to film and my boyfriend doesn´t always have the time. But I do enjoy making these kind of videos as well. I need to check your Hawaiin Sweet Bread recipe, it does sound very interesting :) Happy New Year to you too Laurice! I hope you have had a good start into the new year!

      Thank you my dear friend! They were so good we almost ate them all already :D You know, I would have to answer to that "I wish" :D I struggle with weight all the time because I just love food so much.. I did manage to loose quite a bit of weight last year but then holidays came and now I need to get back to my gym routine and eating better :D But usually I just plan it so that I bake most of the things when we have some family get togethers, so we can share with everyone :)

    I've never seen cardamom seeds before

    • @inthekitchenwithelisa
      @inthekitchenwithelisa  5 років тому

      Those are pods, the seeds are inside :) They smell so good! Maybe I like cardamom now because the one from the pods seems to be a bit different that the readily grinded that we had in Finland.
