Thanks! My slider is stuck on the bottom. Now, thanks to you I know how to take it off. Then I gotta play with it to get the blinds back to normal. I'm amazed the tabs didnt break off. I might look for a stronger magnet online to adjust these things independently when the slider keeps popping and the blinds start sticking. Another idea is I'm going to cut out two small holes in the track for the tabs in the slider to pop back in easily. I'm afraid I'm going to break the tabs otherwise. Its on the idea of roll up doors. The track will have a wider spot to insert the wheel(s)m if it pops out of the track. I guess you are supposed to occasionally "exercise" the blinds up and down gently so they dont get sticky. I rarely raise the whole blind and mine was sticky. EDIT: This "hack" I tried worked great I put the slider against the track and marked where the tabs go. I took the tip of a sharp pocket knife and cut a slot for the top and bottom of each tab. Then I bent out slightly with a screwdriver the slotted tabs in the track i just created. The slider popped right in like magic. No 15 minute struggle and risk breaking the slider. Then I pushed the slotted sections in a bit I just cut out and it works great, slides right over it. Now if i have a problem with the slider I can easily pop it back in at the spot I created. I slowly exercised the blinds up and down a piece at a time and they freed up and I got them back to normal.

I haven't really tried this fix yet as I've been watching various videos but I like that you included what you did and went through. These things often looks so simple but I always seem to be the one that just can't quite get it so this post probably going to be essential to me, thank you!

how do you fix it when one of your slats is stuck and is not falling back down and you are left with an open gap on one side?
Hey JOHN.. if the string is just tangled and not broken, sometimes just lifting up and down will get it to correct.. also if the door gets slammed one way it can cause the blinds to shift and kind of rub on the side when they are lowered.. can shake the door back and forth to try to get the blinds to correctly center again

How to get rid of the moisture in-between the glass panes due to the broken seals. My door is sundeck door west facing .it gets hot in the summer. Please teach me. Thanks.
unfortunately, I don't think this can be fixed.. if the mini blinds break or something else happens ... you pretty much have to replace the door
Mini blinds does not break. Only the seals cracked and condensation / moisture develop in between the panes
So which member of the cartel did you rat out, that made it necessary to wear a mask while preparing your blinds?

@@ETPCYT I mean honestly the whole idea of the mask is ridiculous to start with. secondly without talking you through the process there's no way you can accomplish anything. There is a video with a woman that was really goodI was able to fix the door in 10 minutes after watching
Hey, Henry, I do appreciate the feedback. Yeah, the mask can be a pain at times for sure, I have been trying to get a balance between maintaining the persona and practicality. @@ETPCYT that's cool I'm just sayingif you're taking the time to make the videos and you're investing in equipment to do that. Then you want people to take it's serious. I'm not very good with carpentry or these types of repairs. So I get really nervousbut if I have somebody walking me through it then I feel comfortable enough to dive in and try. I am kind of a goofy, not-too-serious guy :) I always try to reply if I can. I figure YOU take time to make a comment, the least I can do is reply. Ok about the blinds going up evenly.. I have both sliding door with mini blinds and a swing door. Providing one of your strings is not broken, it may be just bunched up. I think that was the case in this video. I think if the door gets shut a little too hard it can cause the blinds to "bind" on one side and that gives you unevenness. Try to make the slats on the blinds level and then lower them all the way down. If they are not level at the bottom, try shaking the door a little back and forth.. this may be enough to get the string to level out. If that doesn't help try raising and lowering the blinds a few times at different speeds. If the string is broken.. I am not sure if that can be fixed or not. Best of luck my Friend.

... It is difficult because of the power of the magnets.. I was able to get them in with great persistence.. There is some technique to it (along with some elbow grease and brute force) You need to put the edge of the handle under the plastic track at an angle I think if you can disengage the magnet first and try getting it under the track.. YOU CAN DO IT!!!
Actually, there are screws holding the wooden plank over the magnets. The screws down the side are covered with small wooden or plastic covers but if you look closely right next to handle on door you can see them. Loosen screws and it opens up enough to easily put the hooks back on the track for the handle. Then just tighten screws back up. Very easy, don’t know if this guy really knew what he was doing but A for effort, and the mask

@@Cherubsthunder I am sorry it didn't work out for you.. What brand is your door? I don't want to leave you high and dry in this matter as I feel partly responsible for the predicament you are in. So, if I am understanding you correctly, Your hand came off and now it won't go back in? On top of that your blinds are probably still stuck at a angle they should not be. If your handle came of, there has to be a way to get it back on, unless it is broken. Mine was quite difficult to put back in.. perhaps you could get the assistance of someone a little stronger? "Storm of ineptitude" .. NICE :)
