If you'd like to learn to make a wet felted glasses case, but aren't sure which materials to use, I have put a list of everything you need in the video description. And I've also added affiliate links for your convenience. 😀
so well done, could you elaborate on what vinegar does and why? I do a lot of wool hand dye and familiar with vinegar to set the dye, but didn't know re felting? Why care about the ph does it strengthen/weaken? thanx
Would you rather have a plain shorter tutorial video where I just show you the main steps, or do you like the more conversational style, like this one, where I talk about the process with extra information along the way?
Thanks Aannsha, it's a good tutorial! Personally I like comprehensive tutorials that show you every steps of a project so that there isn't any confusion. Although sometime it can be repetitive when it's the same thing over and over again. I think that you've done well by cutting off on the layering and the rolling (once you've seen how it's done, there is no need to show the whole project).
Thank you! I may not be able to get to make a coin purse tutorial immediately as my circumstances have changed and felting is tricky (I live on a boat now!), but click the bell icon and you'll be notified of updates Sakott, so if/when I get it done, you'll know. I do appreciate the suggestion though and will see what I can do for you.
Would you suggest using this method to wet felt over a wine bottle, but leaving the top ends still wispy and unfelted to felt a little Christmas gnome on top?
A super great video please speak up we can hardly hear you thanks again for all your hard work and teaching such a great subject matter I appreciate it very much

Thanks so much. I can't see the resit details?
Thank you for the great tutorial. Stay safe and have a good day.
Thank you! 🤗
This video is just what I was looking for TFS.
Fantastic to hear!
Thank you ❤️ - amazing tutorial. Beautiful finished product.
Thanks for your feedback Andrea, I'm glad you liked the tutorial and the glasses case. My husband still uses it!

A slightly acidic pH is better for wool, which is naturally acidic.

Thank you froggybinou for your feedback, I found that very valuable feedback. :)
I also like to see and hear every step of the way....thank you ☺️
Conversational
Hi. I enjoyed your video and prefer the more detailed approach. Thanks for sharing.
Nice work and really easy to understand 💖. It’s possible to ask for a coin purse tutorial without zipper (wet felting)?!

Great tutorial, thank you 😊 Can you tell me please - how long did you soak it in vinegar?
Thank you! Not long, just a couple of minutes, so the optimum pH (acidity) of the wool is restored.
@@AannshaJones Many thanks ☺️
Hi Do you place the wools in opposite directions for each layer? Thanks
Hi Mar, not opposite directions, but at 90 degrees to each other. :)
@@AannshaJones Thank you! so each layer is at 90 degrees to the previous layer, correct?
@@mar8014 No worries! That's correct. Perpendicular to each other. :)

Virginia O'Malley That sounds great! I'd love to hear how this turns out. Do let us know!

Be careful with the glass top, it may break with the pressure and cut your hand and fingers
Thanks, it was a very thick glass tumbler, and would take a lot of pounding. :)
Too long
