Talk I Idols I Nina Rask & Felix Thorsen Katzenelson

Actor and satirist Nina Rask (b. 1998) and culture journalist Felix Thorsen Katzenelson (b. 1993) will explore themes circling around idols and idolatry, taking as their starting point Jonathan Monk’s series focusing on Iggy Pop, Jimi Hendrix and Grace Jones.
Referencing pop stars and art stars alike, Jonathan Monk’s practice takes a thoroughly irreverent stance, focusing on many issues central to artistic practice and the art world around us. Themes such as originality, authorship and the role of the artist come to the forefront, echoing the role that these cultural figures play in our lives.
Nina Rask and Felix Thorsen Katzenelson have both established themselves at the forefront of pop culture and social trends. Through each their own media, Rask and Thorsen Katzenelson have their fingers on the firmly on the pulse.
