love how each new episode of the Furry Crusades keeps getting more and more serious while still having a small comedic tone
Hell I'm (tangentially/forcibly tied to be) part of the community they're parodying/ripping on but I'm loving it. Quite frankly tmif they focused a bit more on the more realistic/serious artists/parts of the community instead of the low hanging fruit sparkledog types then that'd take itnup a further notch, IMO, like how the plasma/flamer looking dudes in this video looked more like Skaven than anything.
Started as a meme, now we're here.

@@MR.D0GG0 In Wh40k, when a mortal dies, the soul goes into the Ether and gets devoured by Gods of Chaos, unless the Empreror intervenes with His awesome psychic/God powers and saves that soul. So, I guess this one earned his spot beside His Emperor of Mankind for the final battle of Gods when it comes.
For those confused what the Apothecary is holding in his hand at the end, that's the gene-seed of the dead marine. It's essentially what allows a normal human to transform into a Space Marine. When a Space Marine dies, that seed is extracted from them in order to be used again in the future creation of Space Marines. The seed is a very rare commodity and indescribably precious to their respective chapters. The horror of that scene is the fact that the furry disease has corrupted it.

i love how this series went from "funny astartes kill furry for our amusement" to an actually scary fan creation that perfectly captures the grimdark tone of 40k.

@@thorodinson5910 its a table top figures game with a massive amount of lore behind it. There are an extensive amount of books and audio books with stories from within this universe. My favorite is "The Way Out" its a horror story. The universe has some serious body horror and grim dark moments like the daemonculaba.

Weirdly, that’s pretty much the same story as Warhammer. It used to be really goofy and relied a lot of dark humor, then evolved into more serious and grim content.

With the imperial Aquila in his hands I understood something, doesn't matter if they become a furry the will be loyal to the god emperor until the end
Even with the transformation being irreversible the marine still fought to wipe out the Eldridge infestation
somebody pointed out that we never see his right hand, and i noticed something from just before our protag marine, pulls the trigger on the flamer, notice that it doesnt have the smooth metallic shap of the finger armor plating that most marines are inclined to utilize, instead it almost looks like fur, but given that it was less than a second of exposure and it was practically inside the shadows, the show does alot to imply that he had already turned from the beginning.
my head canon was that it was a last fuck you to the infection, forcing it to pull the trigger on its own kind( those that turned)
This is absolutely incredible. Not a single line of dialogue in the entire thing but you’re still hooked immediately.

This is legit the most suspenseful and entertaining thing I’ve seen In years. Better than the vast majority of all movies. Had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Five stars all the way.

It is an impressive achievement that this parody has genuinely become so badass and worthy of our investment. Seriously with all the blips of foreboding imagery, no dialogue, fucked up reveals, and amazing pacing, this is easily my favorite short of the bunch so far

It's kind of surprising and kind of terrifying how many furries actually love Flashgitz
The vast majority of furries are people for whom it's just a hobby, and don't really take themselves seriously. We like poking fun and laughing at ourselves too, because we know yeah, it's dumb and silly. But we still enjoy our hobby and interest. We just want to hang out with our friends, do silly fun things and chill out with a few drinks and talk sh1t.
It's the ones who take it way, way too seriously, like it's some kind of cult or lifestyle that are the ones who usually whine and scream online.

I know it exists because it makes sense and because I'm part of a small group like that, but most of the time I can't say I've had the most pleasant experiences with this community I'm part of. Everytime I venture out of my small group, I find the cultists, the psychos, the ones that remind you that they're furries every ten minutes and of course, the ones that can't stop thinking about sex for 2 seconds. It gets old. I would blame myself if I joined a furry specific group, but I can't because even in groups that aren't about furries, I still find these guys who lack so much self awareness. I'm not perfect by any means, but I try not to be uncomfortable to be around. It seems like that concept flies over most furries' heads. At least from my unfortunate experiences.

I can see other people have said this but I too love how the series of the Black Templars' crusade against the Furries went from comedic to actually serious and would somehow work within the 40K universe.
I also liked (what I presume) to be a homage to the Astartes collection of videos. Absolutely amazing. Can't wait to see where this story goes next.
