The volume switches are inverted because the board they use is probably manufactured in a place that makes smartphones mobo. Look at them as you look at a phone, with a vertical screen, now they are in the right place! 😂
To quickly exit the game and return to the home screen just press start+select twice. Pressing the reset button actually resets the console. Love your vids, thank you!
FYI: Quick Mode does not boot the system faster. If you power off the system in the middle of a game, when you turn it back on again it automatically starts up the game and restores it the point you power off.
Like your device reviews since (please take this the right way lol) much less "expert" than the more retro emulators focused channels... Its refreshing to see a more "casual user" approach. One thing, though... You DON'T use the reset button for getting back to the menu... That buttos straight cuts the OS (like a forced shutwon you do on a pc by holding the power button down for 10 seconds or something) and reboots it from scratch, you use it to reset the OS in case it hangs or freezes, not duting normal use...
Just bought one of these for $30 + $7.99 shipping, for that price I couldn't resist.I was really looking for a horizontal handheld like the Anbernic RG35XXH or RG40XXH but the reviews were overall just as good for this one and the Anbernics are $50-$100 depending on which one of the 2 you get. From what I've learned about the Powkiddy rgb10 max 3 it has much better performance than something like the R36S or Powkiddy RGB20S.
@Team_DragonBall I got very lucky and found one on Mercari for cheap, most of the time they sell for $60-$80.,If you look on the Mercari selling app at the few Powkiddy RGB10 Max 3's sold in the last month you'll see the one I bought.
It’s slow to boot mainly due to the HUGE number of games on the card. Powkiddy probably use poor quality Micros SD cards which won’t help. Also, check the CPU performance setting (governor?). ArkOS or Retro Arena might support in the future but as it’s a new system you’ll have to be patient.
I tried to turn it on but showed a single blinking green light and stayed off. I then took the sd cards out and the green light would show but a black screen would show with it. How can I restart it?
i never owned one of these, but i think that long boot time wont go away. pretty sure the devs would get rid of that if they could.i think i understand why these devices take that long to boot up. from what i can see, these devices first boot up android. and booting up any modern or old android phones takes some time. the it starts retro arch or whatever front end, then after that it has to scan all the files on the sd card to know what to display... yea those long boot times are not gonna be gone any time now or in the future.
@@FARDEENKHANQWE123 not android in this case, these are Linux based operating systems, but yeah the concept is correct. For the old consoles, say a GBA, you would put in a cartridge and turn on, the device boots directly into the game on the cartridge and plays it through its hardware. These things are conceptually more similar to a PC, they boot into an operating system kernel (a stripped down Linux kernel in this case), then load the front end (the interface). Then you navigate to a game and start it, which implies for the device loading RetroArch, then the emulation core, then the game, and then through the core the device will emulate the console (GBA) hardware to run the game. It's A LOT more work than the original hardware booting directly into the game cartridge.
i saw you can decreased the screen @4:04...can you tell me how to restore to full screen again??? or to decrese again???? becoz you cut off the tutor video.
For the slow boot, might want to reflash to a newer version of rocknix. I remember jelos implementing some "feature" to delay the startup if it detects the microsd cards being mass flashed/cloned from 1 initial one, which is usually what these companies do. That was quite long ago though, not sure if this is still a thing. Might want to get a branded microsd as well.
Its slow to boot because of the offbrand sd cards they use. Install JelOS on a name brand card & itll boot alot faster. BTW that offbrand card will fail alot & even corrupt after about a month
Is it possible to use the device without knowledge of RetroArch? I once tried to deal with it on my PC, the bite marks on my keyboard can still be seen today 🤣🤣 nothing for beginners 🙈
Yeah, there's definitely a learning curve to RA... Just lots of menus and submenus to navigate. Not too complicated in the end, but there's definitely a learning period.
No offence taken, I’ll be honest I rushed this as I wasn’t interested in it at all, it’s basically the same as all the others I’ve reviewed… but I had to make it because the company sent it me. I won’t be making any more of these from now on unless it’s something really interesting..

JelOS is a custom firmware created by the community. Looks like Powkiddy has given up on creating their own now. lol
i like how the screen is bigger than the Anbernic, so i may have to get one. Thanks for the Retro Break & Goodbye!
JelOS hasn’t supported the RGB10Max3 since it shipped. Officially ROCKNix update should be done for sure

Nintendo button layout is the best layout 🙏🏽well for me
Wow this is a crazy review, there's no way you thought hitting hard reset to exit games was ok and "slow".
Nice handheld mate! It looks beautiful but wish the load times where faster here!

How did you get it for 30$

You pressed the reset button on top. To quit press start + select together at same time. Standard retroarch behavior
Volume buttons match those on my android phone. I couldn't get confused if I turned it to the side
Thanks for the video! Always appreciate your super high quality content.
I love this console, please bring us some more videos, if is possible.. about GBA emulatation. ✌🏼🤓🎮
Does it also include games from the old Sega that had yellow cartridges?
Just ordered the Power Kiddy X55 with 69000 games 🎉
How are you liking it? I've heard mixed reviews

Thank you for the effort of making a video. That device looks horrific. Slow and screen too dull. That said, I am still enjoying the Powkiddy RGB30.
MuOS for RG35XX range boots so quickly, I recommend it

Obsługuje portmaster?

Imagine bashing something you don't know about... just the surface of it
I didn’t buy it, it was sent to me by the company to review
Either the board inside is switched round ? Or it's changed for patent laws ?

They made a RK3566 handheld but at the same time chose to run Linux, on which there's no good GPU driver for the SOC.
PT-BR means portuguese-Brazil, maybe this version is targeted to brazilian audience
Actually no
Is just that the brazilian is big,so they probably add it to win a slice of the market.
Rocknix is the better option.

is this a new release?
Didn't that come out like 7 or 8 months ago? Wow that is a very 'chunky' handheld. The number of games on it is going to cause long boot times.
Do the games come pre installed?
Yes, this is how it came

Unfortunately, learning retroarch is required most of the time. What is worse, many of the hand-held OSes mess with the config files as well.
do an odyn 2 review please
You seem very disheartened by this.
Just a bit boring isn’t it. All these handhelds are the same
@@RetroBreak Yeah you’re spot on.
No offense but this was a rather amateurish review. Basically a sales pitch for ur affiliate link.
