This video is a god send. everybody needs to watch it imo. if we jumped with the weight then our body and the bar would have the same velocity and we couldnt get under the bar. but since the bar moves faster than us due to the whip we can lower our body before the bar drops too low. it cant be other wise because the bar and our body is only lowered by gravity after we jump and no other force pulls us and the bar down

Besides Rip's pseudo-intellectual attempt to overly explain a simple concept. *JUMP* is a cue to help you do an explosive movement. I think he explains it fine by the last 20s of the video, it just gets annoying when he makes it needlessly complicated. Startig Strength works amazingly because of how simple it is.
Rip is strength ASMR. I love listening to people with experience explain their insight with a high level of specificity.
