Nio, if you’re reading this, please please please ACTUALLY bring your EVs into the US by 2025 like you guys said you would. We need a shake-up in the North-American EV market.
talk to your US governments and president. they so affraid of China business taking over. supposed 2021 coming to US as part of the deal back then. And now .... the way how your American doing and manipulating fake medias news to make it like China invading and how American's defences playing victim card. Maybe you wont see it coming any sooner until you have an Asian true peace lover elected to be first Asian American president.
You sound like a nio fanboy, so do I!! 😂 When i told my wife I'd like a nio car, she replied it's bad quality. Last month we visited china and checked out the et5 and es8 in a mall, she now wants the car badder than I do!
Nio has the looks and a nice selection of vehicles. Plus a long range semi solid state battery coming out with 600+ miles of range. Not too mention regular charging or battery swap in 5 minutes. New swap stations are supposed to be even faster.
So the question is when will this be in the US? I would like Tesla but for me Nio. 2 things the battery!! Swap in 10 mins. Is a plus and you either you can buy or lease the battery.
6:47 do the rear headrests elevate to provide neck support in case of a crash? With how low that is I’m assuming a taller person would be susceptible to whiplash and neck/spine injuries.
How long it will charge after ~600 Km drive? How it perform at -35 C? How available parts and repair services? How long battery live until 50% capacity drop? How much (in %% of car cost) will be battery swap?
@@AIAddict Ahh, there it is, new subscription scam trends. So no real info on low temp performance and charge time from 5% to full charge? Real life scenario: about 700km trip done within one day, start 7 am, arrive before 4pm. Currently impossible for any EV SUV. Still looking for options, NOTHING available.
@@tigrafrog idk if u understand the meaning of OPTION. So if you DO NOT like the subscription package deal you can select full payment package included battery. And you want 700KM with one battery trip. Sure there is. An upgrade larger kW battery to 100kW plus. Do notice this is not like an ICE car price tag calculated same as an EV car. an EV most expensives device is the BATTERY! yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhHHHHH the battery that cost you huge! Half of the cost of an EV is just the battery itself!. So the bigger battery the more it costs. So if i were you and smarter abit. I would be happy enough for a batter that can give me 500KM and saving my money. And on my mid way trip i can look it up for EV charging station to charge it up. And just so you need to know the new super fast charging station anything above 100kWH when is reached to 85% charged it will slow down the charging speed. So if you wanna take a break which you should instead of driving long 9 HRS non stop? And take a lunch break or noon break while your car is charging. Unless you are happy to throw more money for BIGGEST size battery. Just like LCD Panel TV size what ever max size available out there. The biggest it is the more it costs. And for charging station Tesla have super fast speed can get up to 250 kWH? So u get fully charged for 100KW battery size within lesser than half an hour so? And is all depends on EV charging speed capacity level allowed. For example base model Tesla gets upto 150kWH max speed allowed to charge. And performance and long range get upto 250kwh speed? Something like that. Korean and China EV some model can have even more super faster charging speed over 300kwH+ allowed. And is also depending what cap speed available from charging station too. The faster the cost higher than normal at home's bill. And super fast charge cost more not only for EV but also to built a super fast charging stations. It required big fat thick cables to support the heat from using high surge power to charge! So have you got all the details you need?
@tigrafrog They have a 150kwh battery coming out but you have to pay for the craziness of being able to drive 700km without stopping. They have battery swaps stations so degradation is a non issue. A fixed amt battery swaps are included each month for the cars sold in China. Their cars have been tested in the tundras of China...
@@alvinfung2409 ..and any solid numbers cannot be found still. China does not have tundras, Canada does. China have Hēilóngjiāng province, can be chilly, -30 C, but never below -35. I'm aiming -40 C, because we can have -45C at night for days. 700 km a day not a craziness, it's a northerner Canada reality. Lots of peoples doing trips like that at even shorter time (less than 6h). And it is important to arrive before 4PM at winter, because it will be pitch-black on highways. So far I cannot see any real EV alternative to my use case.
how can a small retail investor like myself able take at look at the cars in person? I'm an hour away from bay area. i really want to see NIO in person.
Would be great but I doubt NIO have not a chance in the US just by the fact it is chinese based. Dont get me wrong I love this brand and invested into the stock (🤕) but the political envoirement is difficult and many US customers will be triggered by NIO and would avoid it I guess. Even when NIO is also located in the US and Europe already. I hope I am wrong!
Tesla isn't that atractive to me... I never will buy tesla... Nio is way better looking car for my eyes... 2nd point.... there is deffinetly gonna be more accidents with idiots punching petal to the metal.... oh boy
If you’re worried about safety concerns, then I’m pretty sure that Nio actually intending to enter the US around 2025 is a huge deal on its own. this is the older gen. The new gen just started delivery and is a huge improvement in all aspects.
The next generation being released right now must be incredible!

Good Chinese products never went into the US market. They Only love cheap cr*p from China.
They most likely won't, unfortunately. The US government is definitely not gonna make it easy for them.
it is impossible till US government exists
Not gonna happen, unless China selling the company to the American company.
Damn, you are the first person I’ve seen driving a Nio in the US on UA-cam
We also have a lot more Nio model reviews coming over the next several weeks! Stay tuned!
Wow, the interior these NIO's are absolutely stunning ES6 & EC6 are next level! $NIO
Couldn't agree more and these are from 2017-2020!!
@@AIAddict Incredible, to think what the next NIO generations will bring! $NIO
That additional cargo space under the center console is great
With there being no transmission tunnel, it’s brilliant!
I am in Jamaica and I am definitely getting one of these.
This is the company I’m in and with so much future growth
nio is going to be a game changer
fucking hell. this is the first car over 50k, that i actually think i liked.
Having actual demo cars with valid CA license plates is a good sign. It's only a matter of time before they start selling these in the U.S.
Truly a high quality luxury brand from China. I hope the reliability also will be great.
You and me both!

I like how there are a lot of nameplates and startups entering the electric car market ✊

I wish they hide the lidar on the new version…
How about BOSTON we have a dealership here?
Love the fact how this guy starts from the back to the front on the interiors
So great you were able test these out! I can't wait to be cruising a NIO down Highway 1!
Same here!
Beautiful cars. Please make them available in US ASAP!
Ah I think it won’t as so called National security reasons.
Thank you for honest Review
My pleasure 😊
Very cool. I'll be working for NIO soon. Right now in LA, but never seen one single NIO ever here.
Compare telsa interior to a NIO. The later wins hands-down ❤
IMO, NIO is the sexiest car China could bring to the USA
I hope they give different model names in the US market. I can't remember which is which right now

Bring Nio to United States
I wanna buy NIO ET7 super luxuary car in America

They are hopefully to enter the US market in 2025 with their NT3 platform They started with NT1 and are currently delivery NT2 cars.
@@AIAddict nice thank you!
Nice car but if needs repairs , where do you go?
NIO has setup a wide range of Dealers and Repair networks across all markets you can purchase this vehicle.
DIdnt even mention the best feature, a battery that swaps out in 3 minutes fully automated. Better than sitting there for over an hour to charge
Can you pop the hood of the next NIO you preview? The frunk of the Teslas do have some utility so it would be good to compare that feature with NIO's
Excellent
Thank you! Cheers!
What you reviewed is a 1st-gen es6, which is about 5 years old. The 2nd-gen es6 is about 3 times better than this one.
Thank you 👍👍👍
Welcome 👍
we should have more option to chose cheaper cars at usa and France they have more electricity cars

The headrests are adjustable. We just forgot to put them up for testing

You have the option to buy car without battery. I believe the monthly subscription costs to “rent” a new battery at each swap is around $300
