So beautifully explained and video is perfect.I was surfing youtube for simple recipe without buing tons of ingriediens. This is first one where ingriediens are clearly provided, and process of soap making is clearly explained. And every Polish has a vodka , sugar ,oil and pierogi at home.Well pierogi for eating ,not soap making ;-) I am waiting for my shipment of a stearic acid and i am going to try it.I need this soap to make shampoo bars. Thank you so much.

Hello aggie, loved your words!! Thank you! This is the goal of my channel: to let others know they can make soap at home with ingredients (and equipment) they already have!! To share how simple it is to make pretty, good quality soap at home. It's very rewarding to know people find it useful :)
However, you should use this base to make soap for your body, hand or face only. Be very careful using it as shampoo bars, because it has high pH, and with long-term use, it can cause chemical cut in hair strands, meaning hair will start falling apart.
Use a syntetic detergent in that case, check out this recipe in my channel: ua-cam.com/video/W00BxH1BhsM/v-deo.htmlsi=mEH2cHDW3hS6TQo6
      Cheers!!!

Thank you for the video! Please, I have 3 questions: what are the temperature of the alocohol, glycerin and sugar syrup ? and can we use the soap as melt and pour base ? is it obvious to cure this soap? Thank you in advance for your responses.

Thanks for your question, I do appreciate them, as I am learning myself also :)
1 - Temperatures for alcohol, glycerin and sugar syrup are room temperature. But I am convinced that this recipe is easily done with a crock pot. Maybe not absolutely necessary, but you wouldn't need to worry about temperatures.
2 - Yes, glycerin soap base is melt and pour :) But I must admit this recipe needs some fine tuning as the final soap was a bit too hard.
3 - Curing, I do have that doubt as well. If you leave the soap base in the air it will "sweat". If not, you are not really curing it... Glycerin soap is not cold process, the chemistry is slightly different and I am not entirely sure I understand completely how glycerin soap works. I just know it's supposed to have a water content.
Anyway, I did leave the soap base resting with thin plastic film for 2 weeks before using it.
Hope that helps!! If you have some information about how it turned out for you, I'd appreciate!
      Cheers.

@@HerbAlcochete Thank you very much, dear! I will try it surely! But some people add propylene glycol to accelerate the melting.

@@petralenastore1109 Hello again, and thanks for yout tip! :) Didn't use propilene glycol because I'd have to buy it on purpose for this recipe. I had all the other ingredients at home :D I am still dedicating myself more to cold process, so didn't deeply investigate about this soap base, except about making it crystal clear.
I want to add more foam to it, and make it softer, while keeping it crystal clear. I am not at all against using propilene glycol, if I find out it might help with this soap base ;)
      Cheers.

Hello, today I made your formula and I took care that the temperatures were between 60 to 70 degrees Celsius, as well as the sugar emulsion, I was heating it in the micro every 40 seconds, the temperature of the alcohol about 56 degrees Celsius and lastly, not to leave it 30 minutes in a bain-marie I put it in the microwave for 3 minutes I was careful not to spill and after two minutes it almost spilled I turned it off for 10 seconds and turned it off and exactly after three minutes it became transparent, it looks very transparent.

Hello, I'm glad it all went well :) Even if it was through microwave and not bagne-marie, you gave the soap batter the amount of heat it needed to become transparent. Bagne-marie is just more controlled, more steady, while microwave gives a lot of energy very fast. But it's surely faster.
Let me know if the final soap went well, I will incorporate in the recipe that you can use microwave as well, as ong as you're careful :)

Hello @lianaarnwine1709, I am so glad this recipe worked well for you! Yes, I've also wished for a simple recipe with kitchen ingredients only (or mostly) to make a homemade transparent soap base. This is how this recipe came up! And while this soap base can be remelted, I find that if you make the final soaps with the soap base still liquid (before going to the fridge), the soap has better quality. Any additonal heat tends to make the soap more brownish and less prone to lather. Enjoy your homamade soaps!!
