In 2016 I raced a 1975 1000cc Goldwing on the salt flats what a rush! I turned it into a cafe racer style full sport bike fairing etc . ripped out the stock 4 carbs built my own 4 into 1 intake huge harley carb facing the back wheel ran 100 octane race gas. When I went to tech inspect the old guy doing it said about time somebody did something with a wing! what sucked was there is no rear gear change on the drive shaft etc but I pulled 10,500rpm on a 8,500 red line on the three mile course! shaved about 300 lbs off it now charging system very light keep up the good work! there was a guy from France who brought over a 50cc bike like yours in 4 suit cases and bolted it to together and ran 100mph plus! screw what the key board warriors hat to say!

Folks, like yourself, who have been on the Salt & know what it's like to ride the Great White Dyno, get it. I generally ignore the keyboard warriors because you can tell that they don't know... and worse, they really don't want to know.
There are a few folks running 'Wings now. A couple guys I know are chasing records with blown Goldwings! That's the best part about Land Speed Racing, the diversity of motorcycles running the events! Did you run SCTA/Speedweek? Or AMA-FIM/Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials?

Oh, I hear ya! Land Speed Racing isn't cheap! I usually have to buy-fix-flip a couple bikes to pay my expenses! If you're looking to return, some check out the Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials, usually 2 weeks after Speed Week. It's only bikes, so a lot of like-minded folks to rub elbows with!

Let's keep our eyes on the obituaries. Looks like a death trap.

Thank you! At the Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials 2024, I was going for the 175cc-A-CF record, but I could not get two good runs back-to-back! But I came home, learned from my mistakes and the bike is already ready for the 2025 season!

Have you tried taking out the removable tail pipe and making larger dia ones. My dad did this for me in 1973 on my GT80.

I have not, but the plan is to build some performance expansion chambers in an effort to increase power.
