Watching them play their live stuff is so much fun. They really get into it. MISA with her hair everywhere, Akane grinning so much ALL THE TIME . . . but Kanami swinging back and forth while crunching out some great riff or solo is just next level for me. Great reaction, guys! Thanks!!
Am going to the show at the Echoplex in LA on September 30th and l can't wait. If someone had told me say five years ago that I would be driving from Sacramento to LA to see an all female Japanese rock band that sang mostly in their native language and l would be sitting on the sidewalk for ten hours before showtime to ensure l get to the front of the stage or that this would become my favorite hard rock band on the planet l would have told you to seek professional help. What the hell did l know? I absolutely love this band.

@@stimproid This DVD from the concert at Shinkiba Studio Coast lasts for half as much as that one on April 13, 2018. At the concert in Zepp Studio, which lasts over 2 hours, the girls are quite fed up at the end. The voices of the vocalists sometimes break down, Kanami solos are not as crystal clear as always. But there is a way to deal with it without shortening the recording time. Two concerts, day after day, in the same venue, but with the reverse order of the songs. Then we assemble the whole of it. A huge request for my favorite band. Do not save on quality.

Kanami is such an inspiration I have bought a PRS 408 - but god I wish I could play one tenth the way she does. The best band in the world - talent off the scale and the nicest people.

I haven't gone to a live concert for the longest time, in ages. But, this band. This band makes me want to pay money and go to their concert. They are just fantastic. -

You wanna watch the whole thing now don't you.. Lol. One of the things which always blows me away when I watch their gigs, and I feel it's quite overlooked, is the quality of Miku's backing vocals to Saiki's lead - they work so well together live. It's a great concert! It was attached to the Japanese release of the DOMINATION album so far as I recall, the second concert being attached to the Japanese release of the single START OVER. I do wonder whether their concerts will ever get an independent release because for my money they blow a lot of other concert DVDs away, and sit quite comfortably alongside the greats.
Miku -Sai harmony is just pure blessing to my ear.
It's often the case that the most overlooked member of the band is the one filling out the sound in the background. Her vocals and rhythm guitar would be very conspicuous if they weren't there.
These girls are amazing. I recommend the song "Alone". A piece based on a strong bass and drum line. The solo during the song make chills every time , doesn't matter how many times you listen to it. I dont know the reason but in this song, Alone, I prefer the MV than the live version because I can hear the bass better. Perhaps is only a problem with my EQ
@Juan San Alone was the first song they had total control in, Writing Score Production etc and you can just tell how much fun they had even in the PV the smile never leaves Miku and the Solo was writen by Kanami for herself knowing her own strengths.

She basically played an extended solo starting with the 2nd verse all the way through. She is an amazing songwriter.
themighty axe yeah, not just her solos, the lead guitar part for the chorus is extremely well written too! Very tasteful with her chords
Whether or not I should admit it, I probably listen to this song on average twice a day and my Goosebumps are starting to complain I activate them so often
September 30 and October 1 in Los Angeles (Echoplex) I may as well fly down to Los Angeles for Band Maid. I already have Babymetal tickets for San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Sacramento.

What is so good about Band Maid is they have a level of musicianship that means the same song at different venues will not be exactly the same as they have the skill and talent to improvise.
My favorite Band Maid song if pushed but that is liable to change at any moment!
