Of all the 70s fusion keyboard legends, I think I love hearing Joe Sample on Fender Rhodes the most. Its like a musically perfect hand-in-glove fit. Respect and RIP.
A listener of this guy, since the late 70's, Carmel really turned my head. If anyone one is from the Greater Seattle/Olympia area, and wants to jam to this type of music , send me a message. This stuff is fun.
Heard this also - all those solos in Street life were coming from a wonderful repertoire and style that he obviously had built up in his playing around that period. Man we have lost a lot of this musicianship in modern music, and its been replaced with marketing and hype - aka Billie Eilish - 5 Grammy's of totally forgettable audio/music..

I'm trying to find more songs with Joe Sample solos on the Rhodes. Any suggestions?

Is there NOT ONE HUMAN BEING that can touch up a Fender Rhodes better than Mr. Joe Sample??? That Man is the ABSOLUTE BUSINESS on that baby! whew!
Haha contains fragments of "Street Life" all over the place (e.g. 1:35) Wow Joe really was a great player

Rhodes is the Real Thing . Can't be sampled . Not even close . It moves Air . It makes you FEEL the Music on a higher level .
Beautiful Rhodes! A great set up-Is it a polymoog and a mini at his left?
That's al sticks hooper on drums. The original crusader member.
Yeah, nice observation. (see: Tags)
I would be playing somthing on the polymoog and minimoog if I was him.
Suitcase or satellite (Look at the frontrail plug) My ears say Suitcase.
